I’m heading to Japan with my wife and adult children. We’re on a 14 day tour that is going to end in Disney Land and Disney Sea.

We don’t have a lot of downtime or planned shopping trips. Although we do have a day free in Tokyo. I’m not planning on buying anything and don’t have a ton of room in my luggage. But if there is a Japanese exclusive (I am looking at you Loewe) you know I can’t resist.

If you’ve ever been to Japan, what do you recommend?

Is there anything on my radar that I should be looking to obtain?

Again, it’s not a shopping trip and I don’t plan on coming home with any bags but any of you that know me by now but as Maury Povitch said: The lie detector test determined… THAT was a lie.

So what is the over / under on how many bags I come home with?

I’ve been thinking about the Hermès Jypsière lately.

Originally inspired by the Kelly, designed as a more relaxed shoulder bag… but the real question is:

👉 Does the Jypsière work as a men’s bag?

I generally believe that bags do not have gender. And I know that I can do what I like. I’m just curious if I like it. This was my wife's friend's bag and I asked to try it on :)

Any of you boys rocking this?

I like it becuae:

It’s got:

• Adjustable crossbody strap

• Clean, understated luxury

• No loud logos

• Serious craftsmanship

• That effortless Hermès structure

But it also has:

• A softer silhouette

• Equestrian roots

• A reputation that leans more feminine in some circles

Personally, I think in the right size (28 or 31), styled properly, it could be an incredible everyday piece — especially in neutral tones like etoupe, gold, noir, or even a deep blue.

So I’m asking the stylish gentlemen (and the style critics):

What does everyone think of the Never EVER Full Cargo?

I worry it may read too feminine. Which doesn’t bother me as long as I think it looks good.

I don’t think I can return it because I picked it up in Tel Aviv after visiting Israel for a family wedding.

There is only one store in Israel and it was medium sized like a suburban American mall. Not a huge selection but I kind of liked it.

(Not pictured is the wallet that I had hot stamped in Rio with the Christ the Redeemer statue. Tel Aviv doesn’t have its own hot stamp, so I had them paint TLV in small letters).

Anyway the Never EVER Full Cargo is a huge tote. But it’s been a few weeks and I haven’t used it yet.

I Completed this Togo leather bag with alligator handles and suede interior commission two weeks back, and wanted to cross post it and ask, do people who mostly buy brand named products appreciate bespoke bags?

Given that the construction quality, leather quality and aesthetics are proper, would you consider buying a custom made bag over brand name?

I used lambskin for the exterior and a moss green suede for the exterior.

What do you think?

Considering a person need to carry a lot (14" laptop, a medium sized glass lunch container inside a waterproof case, water bottle, AirPods Max, small umbrella and sometimes an extra sweater), which one of these would you recommend from the options below?

One of the coolest pieces I’ve seen from Delvaux — the Tempete Magritte in Green, inspired by René Magritte’s iconic 1929 painting The Treachery of Images.

Renee Magritte has been my favorite artist since I was assigned to do a project on him in high school. And I have been looking for something in this shade of green outside of my usual LV collections.

Just as Magritte famously wrote “Ceci n’est pas une pipe” (“This is not a pipe”), Delvaux turns the idea on itself with: This is still not a pipe!!!

Delvaux and Magritte share Belgian roots, and the brand has been working with the Magritte Foundation since 2008. The craftsmanship on these pieces takes the concept even further, using techniques such as intricate leather marquetry and hand embroidery.

A handbag, a little Belgian surrealism, and a genuine piece of wearable art.

And in this Green??? 💚 Absolutely incredible.

From woven textures to pixel denim, vintage-inspired denim, and sporty perforated silhouettes… this drop is doing a lot… and I’m not mad at it.

I bought this bag during the ski launch last November but just now got around to using it. I like to take my iPad around town and sketch for inspiration so Idecided I’d give my speedy 30 soft a try. I always dreamed of a speedy in the monogram eclipse so I bought this bag on impulse. I’ve been using it for a week now and I love howmuch it carries. The slouch is new for me especially in a bag this big so I’m starting to wonder if it’s an eye sore. But I feel like the dark vibe with the slouch makes it more masculine. (I know worrying about how masculine my bag looks is a contradiction with a Bratz charm and sanitizer as a charm 😅) but what do you guys think?

I’m on vacation in Japan and they offered me this bag.

HAC 40 pocket.

I was hoping for something smaller.

It was $47,000 US

Is it worth it? Would I save money by buying it here (I don’t know the US retail price?

Obviously, something is pretty. I’d rather buy it from my usual SA because it will help the future allocation, but if it’s significantly less money, I may have to think about it.

I don’t plan on selling it, but if I can buy it for considerably less than retail in the aftermarket. It would be a better idea. Or sells for a lot more maybe it is worth it.
