TRIGGER WARNING Streamer Pokimane is being attacked after expressing discomfort because a man who was paying for deepfakes of her was invited to her friends’ wedding.

For context, three years ago, the streamer Atrioc accidentally revealed on stream he was subscribed to a deepfake maker. Deepfakes of Pokimane were visible on the screen, and other women streamers like Maya Higa and QTCinderella (notable because Atrioc was close friends with her boyfriend, now husband, Ludwig) were also available from the creator among others.

After an initially weak apology, Atrioc eventually committed to combatting deepfakes of women with his own money and shared tools with women streamers to help them, something he was pretty universally lauded for.

Recently Ludwig and QTCinderella married, and Atrioc was a guest.

After Pokimane spoke on stream about Atrioc and being uncomfortable seeing him socially, she’s been relentlessly attacked by men accusing her of trying to cancel him (for something he admitted to doing), accusing her of clout-chasing, stirring drama and not letting things go, slutshaming her, etc.

Streaming hates women.
