My son loves Hollow Knight. So I made this in our backyard. Now he can always respawn at our house.
Edit: he is ok 🥰. Just off to college!

I made a short animation for the iconic fountain location! I also posted the breakdown video on r/blender

Poly count: 3.6 million faces

Rendered at 360 frames at 2048 samples. 1080*1920p resolution. I used some tips from Blender Guru to reduce the rendering time. Each frame took about 20 seconds to render.

Hardware: Intel 285k, RTX 5090, 64gb 5600mhz ram

In this work, I express all my hatred for these non‑extinct creatures 😠

Then added my fav levels to the sides cause I can never make anything easier on myself.

Pls like this took so long 🥺 (not really but yknow)

This is just an assortment of all 41

really fun experience putting it all together!!
did my best to do the game justice and get people to recognise video games as a proper medium of storytelling - thought the subreddit might enjoy!

By me :D

My son is a big HollowKnight fan so I made this cosplay for him to wear to Comic-Cons! He loves that he gets to be anonymous and silent ha. The helmet is made from 5mm EVA foam, the nail is a piece of pvc tube and foam core poster board wrapped in 2mm EVA foam, then I fashioned the cape from some spare fabric. Finally got a good pic of it at our last con (I made a Pale King for myself). More on my insta @remakeandcreate 🤘
