Social Studies—Pending OP Reply [University Research Project: Literature Review] How am I supposed to turn "I did not use AI" into a 200 word statement?

If I cheat I want to cheat the good ol' fashioned way. No robot should take that away. anyway, little last minute, unfortunately for me, but I have no idea how the hell to turn "I did not use AI to find my sources, you gave us two weeks to find 8, thats easy work." into a 200 word statement.
I know this is meant to be a place for students who did use ai to be transparent about it and declare it, but its also a pretty set minimum 200 word thing for the assignment.

Any ideas on how to professionally and academically bloat a 5 word sentence?

Social Studies—Pending OP Reply [master’s assignment] in statistics-SPSS. I am LOST

Hey! I am doing this assignment on spss and i have a few questions about the analysis i ran. Tell me someone here knows how spss works i am quite lost.

For this assignment i need to do at least one factor analysis, one multiple regression or hierarchical, and one between a t-test, one way ANOVA, mediation or moderation (these last two were not covered in class).
We had different data set already collected to choose from, so we haven’t collected them personally.

I did all the analysis yet i’m unsure whether i did them correctly.
Firstly, is it possible to do a factor analysis with variables that use different scales (5 and 7 likert, to be specific), because i did and it looked okay, significant and reliable, yet I don’t know if putting them all together is a problem. And in class I think we only said something about recoding if the values don’t align, which i did, so I am confused.

Secondly, i have to put descriptives and frequencies tables, and during the lecture we used them just to describe the sample? Do you think I have to run them with all the continuous and categorical variables?

Furthermore, i decided to do a mediation even though it wasn’t covered in class because I felt I fit better and I wanted to challenge myself a bit. However, I had a doubt between two different research questions for my second one and I decided to run moderation on PROCESS for both because I was curious. In one, there is no indirect effect: the effect between the IV and the moderator is significant, as well as the one between the moderator and the DV, yet no indirect effect is observed. And I feel like it’s okay, I just have to reject that hypothesis.
However, I was more leaning towards the other because it was a way to use this categorical value (i wanted to use it in the first RQ and do a hierarchical regression, but we haven’t covered dummy coding so i cannot) i was interested in. And i used it as IV in the moderation but it ended up not having effect on the moderator from the beginning so it’s definitely worse than the other one, for multiple reasons. Do you think I should try to run a moderation with these last variables? Because I feel like it’s pretty much similar to a hierarchical with a control variable, in this case i’d just add it as a moderator instead as the IV (it’s categorical, basically it asks the belonging to the lgbtq community). Would it be better/possible? Which of the three would you suggest?

It is kinda basic statistics, keep this in mind, I just want to challenge myself as much as possible so i’m doing analysis I am not really required to do.

Sorry for the confusion but i’m kinda lost i need some help😭

I need to write a paper about a political topic from my semester abroad (I went to the Us) and I’d like to write about tradwifes and pronatalism but I need help coming up with a research question. It should be something that is not completely obvious (like what kind of gender roles are tradwifes pushing) and it can’t require any quantitative or qualitative research. Pls help me with ideas!!
Other topics I could imagine writing about: religion politics, misogyny online

Social Studies—Pending OP Reply [Grade 9 Social Studies: Inquiry Project] Ancient Rome Inquiry Question

Post image
1 Upvotes

I've been assigned to create a presentation on Ancient Rome with an inquiry question, but I'm pretty stumped on what it should be. I need to be able to go very in depth with it, and it shouldn't be something you can just search and answer with one article. The rest of the requirements are pictured above 😭 Please help, I've been thinking about this for a long while!

Ones I've thought of: "What can we infer about Roman values based on their laws and entertainment and how did that shape some modern societies/how can it compare?"

I'll appreciate any suggestions!!

I have to write a paper about someone I believe has made important but under appreciated contributions and persuade why they deserve a memorial. So pretty much someone who has passed away. My problem is that I think there are so many incredible people that haven’t been recognised for their brilliance or perspective. I care a lot about politics, the earth, society and justice. Can you guys let me know if there’s anyone you think deserves more recognition than they got? Let me know :)

Social Studies—Pending OP Reply [Social Studies: Deviance and Society] How can we present our research interactively in 20 minutes?

My team and I wrote a research paper about deviant behaviors. We now have to present our results in a 20-minute oral exam.

The teacher asked us not to use PowerPoint, to make the presentation interactive, original, and not boring. She also wants something entertaining because she already read our long research paper.

Our main idea is that deviance is not only chosen by individuals: society and institutions also decide who is labeled as deviant and who is not.

Do you have ideas for an interactive activity involving the whole class, lasting around 20 minutes?

Social Studies—Pending OP Reply [College - bachelor thesis - qualitative research - media studies] I’m still struggling with the concept of qualitative content analysis

I apologize if this is not the question for this sub, but I’m kinda desperate.

I should preface that I’m very much a massive procrastinator. I was supposed to finish my bachelor paper back in the spring of 2024 and I extended the deadline 2 times since. My next deadline is on April 30th and the last one is on June 15th.

So, my thesis is about comparing media biases of 2 newspapers’ (ideologically very similar, which complicates it) coverage of Persian Gulf War. I chose qualitative content analysis for that.

The issue is that I still don’t even know how to do qualitative content analysis because I struggle with the very concept. I managed to get a few long books (or publications?) that should explain it to me. But they bring me more questions than they answer to me. It may be partially because English is my second language and they are mostly written in English. But for what it’s worth, they seem to over complicate the work for me and I really struggle to find some simple how-to-do, step by step guide

Social Studies—Pending OP Reply [University, assignment about didactic of social science directed by TAC] I’d like to hear your personal opinions and interpretations about the significance of the Epstein case as a digital cultural symbol and a transmedia narrative.?

Hey everyone, how’s it going? I’m here to ask for a favor with a university assignment. It’s mainly aimed at a younger community — like teenagers up to around 28 — but if you’re older than that, your comment is still totally welcome.

What I’m looking for is your personal opinion, interpretation, or evaluation about digital content related to the Jeffrey Epstein case — things like memes, reels, viral videos, satirical or non-satirical content, conspiracy-style videos, etc. Those of you who use TikTok or Instagram Reels probably know the kind of content I’m talking about. For example, some people claim that conflicts in the Middle East are being escalated to distract attention from the topic.

That’s basically what I need: your opinion about how this transmedia narrative has become something like a cultural symbol on social media. I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts.

Thanks a lot, Reddit users — much love from Valle!

Social Studies—Pending OP Reply [Grade 10 philosophy] i need help with making a model

I need to make a philosophical/metaphysical model for my philosphy class, i came up with an idead and want to know weither i should expand on it or not. I used ai to make it into a paragraph since i didnt want to write it out but i will not use this same paragraph and will actuall make my own so dw. Here the idea This model proposes that the universe began in a state of unconstrained Luck (analogous to Water), which is pure, primordial randomness. Through a purely contingent event, this Luck spontaneously solidified into rigid Laws, like the laws off physics (the Ice), establishing the deterministic chains of cause and effect that govern all macroscopic reality. While the system is predominantly defined by the unyielding "Ice," a persistent current of residual "Water" ensures that true contingency remains. Human consciousness, being an inevitable product of this system, translates our determined desires into actions that serve only to adjust probabilities; thus, our highest form of agency is merely the determined function of maximizing a statistical outcome. The choices we make are not truly free, but the necessary result of an unfolding logic whose final resolution—even at 99\% probability—is reserved for the final, arbitrary flip of Luck.

Social Studies—Pending OP Reply Help Find A Misogynistic Article For Students To Analyze [Grade 9 Social Studies: Debate Article]

My grade 9 class is covering case studies of discriminatory policies–including women's suffrage.

Each week, they do a socratic seminar debate on an opinion article which is loosely tied to their topic.

I would like to give them a misogynistic POV article to discuss but I'm having trouble finding one that fits the bill I'm looking for.

I would like:

-Biological essentialism for why women should(n't) do x, y, z.

-Nothing too radical–I want students to feel conflicted, like they might agree, in order to reveal biases.

-Nothing containing explicit dealings of assault.

Social Studies—Pending OP Reply [Grade 12: Social Studies] What Are Some (2) Holistic Relationship Among The 3 Sources?

Title. The question along with the sources (3) this is addressed to is. Please begin your sentence with this "a holistic relationship that exists among the sources is.":

Q: How do ALL THREE sources relate to one another? Is there a common theme or motif amongst all three? Be specific- What aspect or issue within nationalism connects these sources?

Source 1: We must all be responsible citizens; however, some must be more responsible than others because of their privileged position in society. The wealthy and the corporate elite need to take on the greatest role in serving the common good. They have a collective obligation toward helping those less fortunate than themselves.

Source 2: Governments are necessary and desirable when limited in scope and modest in aim. But civil society thrives when governments respect the foundational elements of such: the rule of law, the protection of property, and the ability to provide for one’s family and give to one’s friends. Left alone, most people, families and friendships will bloom quite well with those minimums.

Social Studies—Pending OP Reply [High School History: Essay] Is it true that pollsters collaborate with news companies?

Hi, is it true that in the USA, pollsters (like the Pew Center, Gallup, Inc. or even NORC) collaborate with news companies (like CBS, CNN, ABC, WSJ, USA Today, etc.) when making opinion polls?

P.S. Are news companies also the ones that commission and finance some polls in the first place.

Edit: I live in Scandinavia and as such, not so familiar with the North American polling industry.
