SGA Defense

It’s only a few games into the season but there seems to be a noticeable jump in SGAs defense. He was a very solid defender last year, but this year he’s kicked it up a notch and is making some seriously great defensive plays. Hard contests, blocks, big steals. If he keeps this up he could be in talks for some defensive recognition.

Was Tyler Herro right about Bam Adebayo all along?

The fit with Giannis just seems too clunky and Bam isn’t really that efficient, can’t shoot, can’t adapt, doesn’t really play like a center.

Comparing the scoring of LeBron james and Larry Bird in the playoffs. Small Forward comparison

Post image

I wanted to compare how consistently LeBron James and Larry Bird scored at a high level throughout their playoff careers.

Rather than looking at overall playoff PPG, I looked at how many individual playoff series each player averaged at least 25 or 30 points per game.

Total Playoff Series Played:

  • LeBron James: 57
  • Larry Bird: 32

Series Averaging 25+ PPG:

  • LeBron James: 43 of 57 (75.4%)
  • Larry Bird: 14 of 32 (43.8%)

Series Averaging 30+ PPG:

  • LeBron James: 18 of 57 (31.6%)
  • Larry Bird: 2 of 32 (6.3%)

A few observations:

LeBron averaged at least 25 PPG in roughly three-quarters of his playoff series, compared with fewer than half for Bird.

LeBron also averaged 30+ PPG in 31.6% of his playoff series, compared with 6.3% for Bird.

These percentages account for the difference in the number of playoff series each player participated in.

This comparison focuses strictly on scoring consistency across individual playoff series, not overall playoff performance.

Which “washed” roster would be an all timer if all their primes lined up?

Seeing an older player like Mike Conley in a Celtics jersey got me thinking - which roster with multiple “washed” stars would be an all time team if they were all teamed up in their prime?

One that came to mind for me was the ‘17-‘18 Cavs with LeBron, Dwayne wade, Drose, JR, etc.

Shaq-era Celtics ?

Thoughts ?

Wolves Top 6 Are Devouring Teams

“Early season”, “small sample size”… blah blah blah… I get it. But holy crap have the Wolves starters + Ayo Dosunmo absolutely obliterated their opponents thus far. Wolves starters have a Net Rating of +40 in 35mins together. On top of that, almost every 4-man iteration of their top 6 guys have a Net Rating in the +30 to +50 range.

LaMelo & Ayo have the Wolves playing fast and loose on the offensive end, Kuminga’s defense has been an unexpected bright spot, ANT/Rudy/Jaden have been their usual selves, and the whole team is crashing the glass.

The Wolves have looked more human when they’ve had to dig deeper into their bench, but when the top 6 of their rotation play together, they just click. Tim Connolly has absolutely cooked with adding Melo, Kuminga, and Ayo to an already solid core. Can’t wait to watch more of this squad this year.

Should the Miami Heat adjust their starting lineup?

• Upvotes

They are 0-4 to begin the season and have struggled badly with shooting and defending. I think they should bench Klay as he is a defensive liability and is no longer a consistent shooter anymore at his age. Him coming off the bench might give them the spark that they need. Perhaps they can start Pelle Larsson who was doing well last season and seems to have lost his confidence after getting benched this season.

Gruesome injury to Jalen Williams of OKC. Pray if you pray, think if you think

really rough looking injury. I know OKC is an opponent for many, but this is bigger than that. Similar to Jalen Hurts in the NFL. really tough to watch. praying for a happy and healthy recovery.

This might be too far but I think cooper Flagg might become a slightly better version of Jayson Tatum in his prime

I was told the Heat wouldn’t have spacing problems because Wiggins and Klay are good shooters. Lmao what a joke

Considering Jalen Williams and Cason Wallace are confirmed to be out for several months, how do the thunder move forward considering these huge losses?

What moves will the Thunder make in the next year?

• Upvotes

I heard the Thunder are going to have a high luxury tax bill next year if they don’t lower their payroll. Do you except them to pay it, or trade players like Hartenstein or maybe Caruso?

I thought the kid was just talking about Luka, but now he is calling out the whole NBA. The league is gonna humble him for sure.

Whole League about to humble him. 24 Year Old Rookie acting like he's him while the Warriors are 0-3. He better have that same energy for SGA, Wemby, Jokic, Ant Edwards, LeBron, Brunson. Ant and Brooks are already villains, imagine what Edwards is about to do to this clown
