I genuinely don’t give a damn about the icon. It’s an app I open to listen to music, not admire the logo. Apple has changed it multiple times over the years, so why is everyone making such a big deal out of it?

Complete logo redesign.
pink color is replaced with red for accents.

library tab is now just monochrome instead of pink.

Why Apple why?

Edit: to be clear, the issue is they updated the AM icon in iOS 27.2 but didn’t apply the same white design to the Classical app, causing a design inconsistency between both AM apps.

Since May, I have received no milestone—why? Perhaps I am doing something wrong, as I use the service daily and listen to music excessively; I used to play the same tracks every time. Could this new song or number be the cause? Regarding the artists, how can I listen to 500 of them? Is that even possible?

Putting this out there in case somebody has noticed as well or knows what may be going on?

Upon release of the first album shown here (David Fleming's Eternity) it had an Atmos mix available which I downloaded and is still playable as such. Yet the current version is only available as Hi-Res Lossless, but appears as a completely separate version of my library's Atmos album (notice the text under play button)

The second set of photos relates to a similar problem with girlpuppy's second album Sweetness. Also had an Atmos mix when released AND animated artwork, yet today I saw those are no longer advertised. However the downloaded version from when it first released STILL has the Atmos mix as playable, even though according to track info it shouldn't exist?

Why would record publishers (A24/Captured Tracks, respectively) want to 'downgrade' albums, or remove an Atmos mix? To my understanding, those yes are pricier to produce, but over time yield more per stream due to AM's incentive, or am I wrong on that info?

Just upgraded my MAC to iOS 27.2 and immediately went to check out what was new in AM. Were any of the meaningful changes that people have been requesting implemented? Other than changing the color of stars to yellow and changing the toolbar icon color to white, I can't see anything substantial that has been upgraded. What am I missing?

Which is the best album that is not currently available on Apple Music?

I’m curious to discover hidden gems or iconic records that, for some reason, haven’t made it to the platform yet. It would be especially interesting to learn about albums considered masterpieces by fans or critics, which are still missing from streaming services, making them rare treasures for music enthusiasts.

Ever since iOS27 the Apple Music does not consistently display the bitrate of lossless tracks. The lossless badge appears but no bitrate is shown when clicking on it.

Is everyone else experiencing this? Why haven’t they fixed it?

I'm so mesmerized by how Apple Music looks on the iPhone Duo, such a beautiful experience.

Ok so based on my observation, the yellow stars apply to categorical items like artists, playlists etc and the grey stars are only for liked tracks ?

Installed it on my work phone (no songs on it) and noticed the “show star ratings” is gone in the settings menu. Is it now always on or fully gone?

Now I hesitate to update my actual phone with all my songs, as I use the ratings heavily. Apple tried to remove them 2-3 times in the past and always caved in…

I hate the fact that they’re not clearly labeled and I don’t know what to do other than just asking to suggest them less.

I listen to tech house which is where a lot of the AI songs are.

Dev here, so take this as a dev post. I made Rebound because I wanted to listen to music with friends while we're all working from home, without a Discord bot or someone screen-sharing.

The idea: one person starts with a track, the next one answers it with a track of their own, and so on. Each iPhone plays through its own Apple Music, in sync, with a chat on the side. It only works with Apple Music, by design: the app streams no audio, MusicKit plays everything locally.

You can also run it alone, like a small live radio: you play your picks, people listen from the app or from a browser with their Apple Music account, and it stays as a replay afterwards.

Curious what Apple Music users think of the turn-based format, and what's missing. And if you had to open a session, which track would it be?
