I don't know if it was just me, but i did not know Insomniac Peter and Felicia's relationship lasted as long as it did or was a bit serious than they showed in the games. I thought it was more like a very short fling, but i liked how the tie-in comics showed that there was a genuine attempt from both sides to try to understand the other. Especially from Felicia considering all she was in the game is vague and flirtatious with very little interactions. The other parts of the games and comics show how she deep down knows what she does is wrong but she craves the thrill of it, and its why she admires Peter because unlike her, he puts the weight of the world on his shoulders over his own desires, and it's why she ends up caving to her desires and stealing behind his back, she found his standards impossible to meet.

Peter also showed in the comics far more care towards her than shown in the games, where he comes across as very cold. In the comics, they show the aftermath of the explosion where he in panic ran to the fire trying to find her, and is incredibly depressed afterwards when he thought she was dead, even grieving in front of MJ about her feeling guilty for not doing more. In the Jet fight with Hammerhead in the comics, he’s enraged punching the hell out of him for even mentioning Felicia's name while having flashbacks of their break up. In the game, it came across as Peter wanting to help her only because "it's the right thing to do" and not also because he genuinely cared for her.

I always wondered why i was so detached from the first game's DLCs compared to the main story, and at least here it makes more sense now considering the game just made us form our own opinions about their relationship instead of offering more context or interactions.

Keep in mind tho that the writing is still not that good considering they want it to make sense that Felicia can care for Peter enough to attempt a change and going straight, but at the same time be the same person that lies to him about a son. It's like they wanted us to be okay with seeing the two cliches Black Cat is known for but using extremes in both examples at the same time, which just leaves a contradicting mess.
