If you're going to create a post to highlight your own progress, make sure to follow the exact Title Template below.
Gender/Age/Height [Before lbs/kg to After lbs/kg] (Time Span) - Extra Words
Examples:
_______________________________________________________
Use the letter to represent your gender:
Make sure to write your height out as X'xx" - 6'0" - 5'10" - 5'7"
Use Square Brackets [to encapsulate your weights].
For your height and weight, use round numbers.
Use regular brackets (to encapsulate the Time Span).
And you're welcome to write a sub-description for the progress you made.
Using an improper Flair unlike other things won't lead to a takedown. Just a small change as outlined above.
r/Brogress serves as a place to highlight the ongoing journey of a better you, demonstrated through Before and After pictures. Anything besides that is not allowed and will be taken down. This includes:
Refer to the Daily Question Thread which is pinned in the r/Brogress post feed
_______________________________________________________
On the other hand, r/Brogress isn't intended to host posts which boil down to help-me/advice threads. Your post should be and only be about your accomplishments. If your post is intended to inquire for answers, opinions, and/or advice to your fitness related concerns, your post will be removed. This includes things such as:
If you want to re-post your progress after being called out, you're more than welcome to. Just as long as you remove the question from your post.
Refer to the Daily Question Thread which is pinned in the r/Brogress post feed
_______________________________________________________
Posts which indirectly asks for advice will also be taken down. The post isn't framed as a straight up question. But with how it's written, it'd warrant opinions the same way. Commonly this will be via self-criticism of your results, which indirectly states the problem, that people will then try to help you with. Examples like:
If you want to re-post your progress after being called out, you're more than welcome to. Just as long as you remove the tangent from your post.
Refer to the Daily Question Thread which is pinned in the r/Brogress post feed
_______________________________________________________
The principles outlined within the Rule 2 segments apply to both Posts and Comments. Rule 2.4 serves to clarify that. So to reiterate what's been said previously:
The Post and the thread of the Post are all intended to be about OP's hard-work; and nothing more.
When it concerns to Rule 2, the bold subtext under each segment is the way.
Self explanatory: Harassing other members, directly or indirectly will result in immediate action from the r/Brogress Mods. Harassment may consist of, but is not limited to:
If you're being harassed, send a message to the r/Brogress Mods immediately. Don't ignore the blatant harassment!! Provide context and some screenshots of their unwarranted messages and we'll assist you from there.
[Advice] If you want to be harassment free from lurkers trying to hit you up: Go to your Settings - Account Settings - under Blocking and Permissions, disable Chat Requests + PM's
r/Brogress has 0 tolerance towards people who fake their Brogress with:
The people whose deception has been verified, will deal with immediate action from the r/Brogress Mods. Punishments will range from the "Fake Natty" flair of shame to outright bans.

Started at 278 lbs (126 kg), and today I weighed in at 220 lbs (100 kg). That’s 58 lbs down, but seeing 100 kg on the scale feels like its own milestone.
Since moving abroad, I haven’t really had anyone to share this journey with, so I wanted to post here again. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and it feels good to share that somewhere.
Still more work to do, but next stop is 200 lbs.

Hello all. New to lifting here. Just wanted to show my “transformation” so far, if you want to call it that lol. Just for a little background, I had a kidney stone earlier this year, and went through a rough breakup recently, and got down to my lowest weight in years. My day one pics are when I was down to 113 lbs. yikes. The day one pics were taken August 31st. I finally decided it was a time for a change. And decided to work on me for once. I currently am up about 25 or so lbs (which I understand a lot of is water and glycogen etc) and I have became addicted to lifting. I owe a lot of this progress to gainer shakes. And just straight up milk lol. I am in a caloric surplus of about 300 cals give or take. And am hitting about 140-150g of protein per day. Pretty proud of my results so far. Sky’s the limit now. Any recommendations where I can improve, prevent injuries etc? Thanks for the time!

Started working out at the tail end of last year, doing only calisthenics. I’ve tried working out/gaining in the past, and I’d always get burned out. This time I started by doing only 15 minute workouts a day (3x weekly), and at the tail end of each month I’d add 5 minutes. On my off days I stretch (goal is to learn the splits). Over the course of the year I’ve worked my way up to an hour workouts.
Started out doing just pull-ups, push ups, and crunches. Over time and after watching many calisthenics vids, I’ve built out a bit of a pyramid (that can probably be better optimized).
These days I’ve added gymnastics rings and dumbells, and the pyramid is:
Set 1: 1 dip, 2 pull-ups & 4 pushups, 3 squats, 6 calf raises, 12 band stretches
Set 2: 2 dips, 4 pull-ups & 8 pushups, 6 squats, 12 calf raises, 24 band stretches
Set 3: 3 dips, 6 pull-ups & 12 pushups, 9 squats, 18 calf raises, 36 band stretches
Set 4: 4 dips, 8 pull-ups & 16 pushups, 12 squats, 24 calf raises, 48 band stretches
Set 5: 5 dips, 10 dips & 20 pushups, 15 squats, 30 calf raises, 60 band stretches
It’s meant to go up to 10 sets — it was originally only a pull up pyramid 1 to 10 to 1, but I’ve never made it that far within my time limit. For the squats and calf raises I add a dumbbell. Push ups are incline, and either wide grip or diamond. Idk the name of the band stretch, but it’s essentially a glute exercise.
In terms of getting calories I’ve been housing gainer shakes in the morning (1340 calories) and then I try to eat my usual 3 meals and snack a bit. For most of year I found that was fine in and of itself, but for the last 6 weeks I’ve been tracking my calories with an app and wish I started doing that sooner. Also noting a I am a vegetarian.
My goal weight is 180 for now, but I had a friend suggest 190lbs which I may aim for (and then cut 10lbs).

EDIT: I AM 31 ahhh whoops not 21
--
First photo May 9th, 165lbs. Second photo October 27th, 165lbs.
The lighting is doing a lot of work i think but also i definitely hit major milestones and improvements. Some select exercises (lots of salt, these are estimated 1RM according to MacroFactor app, I doubt I can bench 270lbs):
| Bench Press 1RM | Squat 1RM | Weighted Pullups 1RM |
|---|---|---|
| May: 205lbs, Oct: 269lbs | May: bodyweight, could not squat due to patellar tendonitis. Oct: 225lbs | May: 50lbs, Oct: 79lbs |
Other miscellaneous milestones are that I can run a couple miles without my knees hurting. I basically rehabilitated my knees over the past year with bodyweight squats, bulgarian split squats, and leg curls. Absolutely 0 running in over a year until very very recently. I am so happy I can work on my barbell squat again and it is my biggest goal to make it stronger than my bench press.
I crossed 2 plates on bench press (for reps!!!) which has always been a goal of mine as well. The most important part though is I feel confident about my body and I feel healthy :)

Here's my 2 year natural progress.
First pictures : taken in october 2024, a couple weeks back to training after a loooooong hiatus (so wasn't totally new to working out).
Second pictures : taken in october 2026, post bulk a month into the cut so still a bit fluffy.
Went up to 78kg on the bulk and chilled at maintenance ish for a month or so.

I started tracking my protein more closely, and started working out with dumbbells at home about a year ago, and more consistently for about the last 2 months. Nothing crazy, but I make sure that I'm always adding a bit more workout volume every time, and I try to do at least 5 days a week, with 3 workouts per day. My main focus has been my shoulders, chest and arms, and I use dumbbells for 99% of my workouts.
I haven't really noticed any difference in the last year, and I thought that maybe I'm just getting stronger but not bigger, but I think I see a difference when I put these side by side.
Hoping that I can accelerate the growth now that I'm more consistent!
Also the auto mod rules on this sub suck

Been consistently cycling (riding a bike) for the past 10 months. Started in late January and continuing to today and into the future. Between 8-12 hours per week. As I’ve gotten more fit cardiovascularly, I’ve been able to put out more power and burn more calories in the same amount of time on the bike. I’ll burn roughly 800 calories in 1 hour doing cardio on my bike.
I cut out alcohol completely. Ate a high carb diet to sustain the cardio I’m doing, moderate protein and low fat.
I definitely let myself go in order to get to that state. My weight has fluctuated over the years, but this is the leanest/lightest I’ve been since 2019.
I have been using Tirzepatide since early February. I started at 0.25mg/wk and have been holding steady at 6mg/wk for the last 3 months.
Got blood testing done before starting and was in the pre-diabetic range as well as having high blood pressure. All health markers are now right in range. My VO2 max is 51, which puts me in the top 20% for my age group.
I have two kids, work full time, and both kids have extracurriculars, so anyone claiming to not have enough time to work on themselves is coping heavily.
I’ve been psychically active since 16, but this is the first time I’ve really gone all-in on endurance exercise. I previously focused on weightlifting only. I haven’t lifted a single weight since March of this year.
After my bike race next month I plan to train for a half marathon in January and also incorporate weightlifting back into my life. I have a full home gym set up in my garage.

I start work as a personal trainer next month. :)
I’m grateful for everything I learnt on this journey so far. I’m looking forward to continuing. I’m dreaming of one day competing in an amateur show. Also I’m happy to answer any questions below.
Every phase of you is necessary. Forgive and love yourself.
