Player Discussion Wemby getting moved, which is a better deal?

32 Man Sleeper with adjusted scoring for 0.5 Pts, 0.7 Rebounds,0.8 assists,2 pts for blocks and steals each,Turnovers are -0.75 and DblDbl are 1.5 and Triple Doubles are 3

Thinking about moving Wemby to get better depth. The options are as follows:

Jarace Walker,Derrick Queen, Khaman Maluach,JDUB,Two 2028 seconds and a 2029 third for Wemby and Zacharrie Risacher

Or

Egor Demin,CMB,Caleb Wilson and 2028 FRP and 2029 FRP

Alternativly,I can also hold Wemby.

My roster is Jamal Murray,Quickley,MPJ,Deandre Hunter,Wemby, Risacher,Mitch Rob,Ajay Mitchell,Beef Stew, and Carter Bryant plus some other filler guys like Marcus Sasser and Kevin Hurter.

Thanks!

Player Discussion Was offered Joan Beringer for Ace Bailey

14 team dynasty league using nba contracts to build and manage our teams. I've been offered Joan Beringer and a first round pick in the 2027 draft (which would give me two) Curious this groups thoughts on trade value and long term value here. Also...this is a 9-cat game cap H2H league. Thanks

Player Discussion What Are The Worse Dynast Moves You Have Ever Made?? A thread for self deprecation

Its easy to talk about successful wins you've made over the years, but you know what makes diamonds... Pressure. You gotta learn from your mistakes and become a better dynasty operator... And if you do learn from your mistakes and improve it can be fun (if you have a dark sense of humor like I do) to look back at some of your biggest blunders..

That is what this thread is for. I don't want to hear about the trades that turned out bad because someone got injured..no no no....

I want your nightmares...
I want the transactions that haunt you ...
The moves that linger in the back of your mind as you try and fall asleep...
I want the moves that left a scar so deep it gives you PTSD like you're a vet from Nam who lost a leg to a landmine...
I want the moves that if you found a dynasty fantasy specific magic lamp and you were given 3 trades you could travel back in time to stop... I want those trades (it can be more then 3)

Remember, have some fun with this one. It's meant to be a place where you can laugh at the pain, that pain only makes victory taste that much sweeter.

I'll start the self roast off...

1) MOSES BROWN... I sent away Tyler Herro AND a future 1st 💀
If you've been playing dynasty hoops a while then you will remember this man's name. Before OKC was good, back during the giddey poku days there would often be ten day/2 way player that would find fantasy relevance that presti would use when he was shutting down his main guys to help their lotto balls (funny how presti bashes tanking now)
It was my first year as a dynasty player, and my team was the best team that first year. I should have just walked away from the negotiations at me sending herro for brown straight up... But I wanted him, I thought he was the next Andre Drummond. A 9 cat beast... Here is the part that always makes me chuckle. The day the trade went through, OKC had a game that night and Moses put up 22 pts 22 rebounds and 3 blocks... I thought I was a genius, little did I know... Insert arrested development huge mistake moment.

2) Swapping 1st rounders and drafting poorly. I had the number 2 pick in 2024 draft, traded that for 2025 1st, ended up being 4. Essentially that ended up being Sarr/Castle/Clingan (all top 80 9 cat assets) for the 25 first. If you recall before 24 the vibe was that it was a weak class and the following class was stacked. I mean geez look at who went first overall in 24 😂. So for a ful year, all leading up to 24 I spent a GroupMe propoganda campaign, saying all the scouts were dumb this class is undervalued... All with the aim of hyping up my asset to flip it for a early first the following year in a much better class (2025).... Well I did that and then with that first I took Tre Johnson.... 💀 This one doesn't sting as bad ONLY because this very morning I was able to flip Tre for a 2029 1st. That team has not had a 1st round pick in 2 years and this team will be looking to start a rebuild in 3 yrs if they haven't won it all (they won't, good team but not deep enough) at which time I will be able to sell him back his 1st for some of his best players who no longer fit his time line (I also own this teams 2nd in 2029 and 2030) so when he is ready to rebuild it will be like a Giannis Bucs situation where I will hold draft picks that are of more value to him then anyone else in the league. It still SUCKS because I would LOVE to have either cling/Sarr/castle over what Tre could become maybe... But I don't think he has star potential.

3) Traded 5 first round picks for Steph curry to win a title... But I LOST. then decide fuck it if I don't own my own picks, I'll trade for other teams picks ... And did a total 2 yr rebuild of my team centered around getting wemby. Pretty self explanatory... Dealing with a very non responding owner and I had to shock him.. so I went from 2 first to 4. No response.. said 5 got it done. It really made my rebuild extremely difficult. I had to take one of my best players (jaylen brown) and trade him for my 1st in 23 to tank (we don't have a lotto) + got Franz back. That was a great move. And that is when I started to turn the tide and started to get better and make some of my biggest "wins" over my dynasty days.

So let's hear it boys, misery loves company.

Player Discussion Yaxel Lendeborg deal

I sent Derrick White and next years first for Yaxel. Got rejected and said he wants Chet for Yaxel. I felt like my offer wasn’t even bad lol. He’s a contending team and has to drop a few players to free up room and White would definitely help him plus he’s getting a high/mid first next year since I’m gonna be rebuilding. And then I asked a league mate about the trade and he said that my offer was terrible.

Genuinely confused how that’s a bad offer for a 24 year old rook🤣😭.

I got Fox as well but I feel like that’s an overpay if I’m going 1:1 lol

Player Discussion Am very guard heavy, weaker at Forward spots. Is it really that wild to take Yaxel at pick #6 than Acuff?

I do think myself it’s a stretch, but could easily see Yaxel being undervalued. I’m just so guard heavy, I’d almost rather take Acuff and deal him after for a big.

Overall torn, any input is appreciated.

Player Discussion Decided to tier down from Wemby, how did I do?

League format 16 team dynasty Sleeper lock in (start 9 players). Through several trades I have built a strong team but I dealt all my picks away. Got an offer for Wemby I felt was good enough to make my roster great long term. The trade:

Wemby, Ty Jerome, Duncan Robinson, Paul Reed, Koa Peat

for

Cam Boozer, Stephon Castle, Ryan Rollins, 27 FRP (probably top 5) and 2 28 FRP (probably both top 5).

Notable other players on my roster:
Donovan Mitchell, Bam Adebayo, Lauri Markkenan, Amen Thompson, Derrick White, Brandon Miller, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Dejounte Murray, Ivica Zubac, Darius Garland

So how did I do? Was it worth to trade a fantasy cheat code for better long term construction? Already looking like I’m going to win week 1 without Wemby and haven’t even used any of the players I’ve gotten in the trade yet.

Player Discussion Wemby offers Followup

As title says, made a post yesterday asking about Wemby offers and I have better ones that have been made since.

Wemby, Vanderbilt,and Kevin Hurter for

Cedric,LeBron,Paolo,Mathurin,Justin Champagne,Jamal Shead,Maxine Raynaud, 2028 first and 2029 first

Other offer is

Wemby, Risacher,Rob Williams,and a 2029 Second for

JDub,Keyonte George,Derrick Queen,Jarace Walker,Yonic,2028 Second

Any thoughts would be appreciated. Both seem decent with Offer two having better players for dynasty and also more proven already while offer one has lbj and Paolo for a better chance to win this year but less depth after those two. Thanks!

EDIT: 32 MAN LEAGUE,FORGOT TO ADD

adjusted scoring for 0.5 Pts, 0.7 Rebounds,0.8 assists,2 pts for blocks and steals each,Turnovers are -0.75 and DblDbl are 1.5 and Triple Doubles are 3

My roster is Jamal Murray,Quickley,MPJ,Deandre Hunter,Wemby, Risacher,Mitch Rob,Ajay Mitchell,Beef Stew, and Carter Bryant plus some other filler guys like Marcus Sasser and Kevin Hurter.

Player Discussion 2026 Rookies

Are people as excited as I am for the future of the NBA with this class? We've had stellar draft classes recently, but this one takes it to another level. Boozer and Caleb Wilson looking like stars in the making. We'll see about AJ and Peterson, and then beyond the top 4 plenty that are looking like they'll have solid futures also. What a class!

Player Discussion Rookie Draft - 4th pick

Own the 1.04 with a competing roster in a 12T categories dynasty league. Caleb Wilson for sure going before pick 4 due to a UNC fan at pick 2 and 3. He refuses to take boozer. Would love to take boozer at 4, but I’m concerned AJ falls to 4 and I want to really take acuff. Draft is tomorrow and could use some advice. Roster is below.

Guards - White, George, Jerome, Edgecombe, Wallace, Daniels
Wings- Amen, Murphy III, JJ, Anunoby, McDaniels, Eason, Murray, Kyshawn, Murray-Boyles
Centers- Wemby, Gobert

Player Discussion Khaman Maluach

Khaman Maluach owners how we feeling? I got lucky and traded for him during the draft for Sergio de larrea. After his summer league performances and now mark Williams most likely missing most of the year, how good of flashes do we think he can show? He is still raw, but fantasy profiles like him aren’t easy to come by in dynasty. What’s your expectations with the current news and how do you guys value him now?

Player Discussion Has Wilson been falling into the top 3 in your points leagues rookie drafts?

Am I crazy for taking him over Peterson at No. 3 in my rookie draft? His three-point shooting in Summer League has been incredible, and while the gap may only be small, I feel like he might be the safer pick on draft day.

Player Discussion Brayden Burries

What is the consensus on Brayden Burries? Will he be a top 20-30 player within the next years.

He was really good at Arizona but was a rather old (21) for a freshman. I have a few scouting reports counting this as a negative. He is also a tad undersized for a NBA two guard.

His situation in Milwaukee is definetly a plus. I assume Milwaukee will mover Herro and Rollins is expected to command a bug contract at the end of the season, it is unknown if Milwaukee will match it.

Burries was also the MVP of the summer league. That doesnt mean a ton but it isnt meaningless either.

Player Discussion Koa Peat vs Baba Miller vs Trevon Brazile

I might have the chance to pick up one of the forwards mentioned in the title with my late round pick. Didn't really know much about them, did some research online and want to ask you guys for some opinions.

From what I know Peat and Miller are poor shooters while Brazile has shown flashes in Summer League that he can translate his shooting to the league. Miller offers some guard stats, Peat is physically strong with a strong inside game.

Who would you guys suggest taking? I'm trying to contend in a 12-team Points league on Sleeper, but don't mind stashing my selection if he has a high upside but limited production next season.

Player Discussion Who to cut

8-team 22 rostered 4 IR and 3 Taxi, sleeper lock-in with slight adjustments to certain scoring

I’m over the roster limit by 2 players at the moment and also have 3 on IR. Not sure who to cut. I have been trying to make deals so that I don’t need to cut anyone but it’s difficult in an 8-man, everyone has good players and thinks they’re competing. Any thoughts on how you’d rank these guys?

Top cut candidates:
Ben Mathurin
Bilal Coulibaly
Jared McCain
Labaron Philon (currently on taxi but have replacements)
Dailyn Swain (same thing)
Christian Braun
Toumani Camara
RJ Barrett

I’m only really considering those top 4, just included some other guys to give context on the level of the next tier of player. I had the #1 pick this year and am def not competing but I also don’t want to come last again because our league does punishments and it’s not worth it in this lackluster 27 draft.

Player Discussion Tre Johnson 9 cat dynasty profile - are we buying/selling/holding?

i need some serious advice. my dyansty owner brain is torn to shreds right now.

I am in a 10 man league, 25 man roster with 5 taxi spots. depth is a big factor in who wins every year and we are going into year 7. i lost in the finals on day 7... brutal but im going to bounce back like the 2014 spurs babyyyyy...

full roster is below and the rookie draft is this weekend. i have the 1.01-1.04-1.09 - 2.4 and the 3.6.

i took tre johnson last year and i was disapointed with his rookie season. he had some injury bad luck but i was hoping we would see some of what kon did his rookie year but we didnt see any of that. I am wondering if it is wise to hold Tre on my taxi squad this year and hope he recoups some of his prerookie year value. Or do i try and trade tre for a pick in the rookie draft. I'm pretty sure i can get a mid lotto pick for him at the least. maybe roll tre into Ebuka or Graves

i tried offering tre + a future second and grayson allen for pick 8 but i have not gotten a firm yes or a firm no. if i could get the guy to bite at 8 i would def pay up a future second to roll tre into a guy like burries or morez or steinbach.

what should i do?

I am a firm believer in moving off youth in dynasty if you think the ceiling isnt there and the rest of the market is going to catch on. Last year i traded Scoot for a mid first and i took Kon. that was a HUGE W for me. i'm wondering if i can pull off a move like that again.

but look at a guy like keytone george and his huge breakout. I see shades of keyonte's fantasy game with tre but i don't know if he will see this big 3rd year breakout in 2 yrs time.

Wemby | Jalen Johnson | Hali | Alpy | Chet | Kon | Fox | Ryan Rollins | Dejounte Murray | Josh Hart | Day'Ron Sharpe | Norman Powell | Podziemski | Raynaud | Jaylon Tyson | Diabatte | Kevin Porter Jr | Jimmy Butler | Gui | Grayson Allen | Sandro Mamukelashvili

Player Discussion Off season acquisitions and liquidations

It’s the offseason and for dynasty THERE IS NO OFFSEASON. I want to hear about your offseason sells and buys. Let’s discuss and debate. Here are the 4 offseason moves I’ve made so far. I major shake up and 3 smaller moves I think are wins in the margin.

BIG MOVE

I traded franz + Walter Clayton jr + 1.03 + 2.06 + 2031 1st + 2032 1st

For Hali + dejonte murray + 1.04 + 2.04 + pick 30 + 2032 2nd.

Franz is very highly rated in most dynasty rankings for 9 cat. Normally, you’ll see him somewhere between 18 and 26. As someone who is very bullish on franz his dynasty market from an overall asset standpoint is higher then his per game production which is more like 40-60th per game 9 cat. I’ve been after halo for 5 years and my league mate was the only other player as high on him as I. I think Hali will get back to top 12 9 cat production. Getting dejonte is great as he’s a top 75 producer , I’m a bulls fan so hyped to get Caleb and I moved up 2 spots in the early second and gained a mid 3rd. Very excited for this move as I was in the finals and lost on Sunday, I think this will put me over the top.

Got DayRon sharpe - got him for pick 30 and a 2031 3rd

Got pick 24 for Asa Newell

Got Sandro for Javon small and 2 future 3rds.

My team is now
Victor Wembanyama
Jalen Johnson
Tyrese Haliburton
Alpren Sengun
Chet Holmgren
Kon Knueppel
De'Aaron Fox
Ryan Rollins
Dejounte Murray
Josh Hart
Day'Ron Sharpe
Norman Powell
Brandin Podziemski
Maxime Raynaud
Jaylon Tyson
Moussa Diabatte
Kevin Porter Jr
Jimmy Butler
Gui Santos
Grayson Allen
Sandro Mamukelashvili

2026 draft picks- I have the 1.01-1.04-1.10-2.04 3.06

LETS HEAR THE MOVES BOYS!

Player Discussion What would you offer for pick 1.01 in a 9 Category Dynasty.

What would you offer for the 1.01 in a 9-cat dynasty?

The owner of the 1st overall pick has said they’re open to trading it, and I’m interested in seeing what it would take to get it.

I’m rebuilding around Wemby and currently have picks 5, 7 and 8, so I’m trying to work out what a fair offer would look like. The other owner is also in the middle of a full rebuild, so I’m guessing they’d probably prefer a young player and/or high pick rather than an older veteran.

My roster:

Guards

Isaiah Collier
Shaedon Sharpe
Fred VanVleet
Jrue Holiday
Buddy Hield
De’Anthony Melton
Nickeil Alexander-Walker

Forwards

Kon Knueppel
Kawhi Leonard
DeMar DeRozan
Tobias Harris
Julius Randle
Nikola Jovic
Ryan Dunn
Carter Bryant
Ziaire Williams
Rasheem Fleming

Centers

Victor Wembanyama
Zach Edey
Isaiah Stewart
Steven Adams
Jackson Hayes

The main offer I’ve been thinking about is NAW + pick 5 for 1.01.

NAW had a really good season last year and I think his value is probably pretty high right now, but I’m not sure his prime really lines up with my timeline. I don’t expect to contend immediately, so I’m wondering if this is a good opportunity to sell high on him and turn him + a high pick into another potential cornerstone next to Wemby.

I’m not sure if NAW + 5 is too much, too little or about right though.

I’d also be interested in whether there’s someone else on my roster you’d target instead. I’d ideally like to keep this pretty clean rather than throwing 3-4 players/picks into a massive trade.

If I managed to land 1.01, who would you be targeting there in a 9-cat dynasty?

What would you guys offer for 1.01 from this roster?

Player Discussion Picking up a high-upside player for my bench.

I have an open roster spot and am between a few names. Those names are Jaylon Tyson, Hugo Gonzales, Pelle Larson and Nikola Jovic. Who's the best option of the bunch? I like Tyson and Jovic because they can play three positions on Sleeper. This player doesn't have to be someone I rely on this year. Any opinions on players I listed and/or other players are appreciated.
