After long deliberations between the EOK, the teams of the Greek Basket League, the Greek minister of Sports and Free the cat ( representing DPG ) , they all came to the conclusion that it is only fair for Iraklis Thesalloniki to be relegated so the Greek Basketball League can continue operations after the match fixing scandal and the arrests of the federation president Liolios and multiple referees.

When the teams were questioned by journalists how this would fix the situation, Iraklis Thesalloniki received two points deduction from next season.

~~For those that don't know it, in Greece there is the meme that in the end Iraklis gets randomly relegated. Iraklis has not been accused so far of anything.~~
