Help looking for a bfs reel and rod. For small inland trout
Hi my name is truls(25)
I could use some help with choosing a bfs reel and rod.
I've fisher my whole life on spinning reels. And recently started getting back into fishing. Buying my own nice equipment...
Recently bought a Abu Garcia zenon 2500msh, for trout fishing aswell... I know 2500 size is a little big for a 600gram fish but I like bigger reels... One one of the reasons I bought that one. Because then I kinda wouldn't compromise the weigh and balance of the rod and I get a little bit bigger reel.
Anyway.
I've seen a little bit on the reels offers kast king offers.
But I live in Norway and that brand doesn't ship over to Norway and if I buy it on ebay then the shipping is expensive... So I'd rather buy something nice that will last.
Any recommendations.
I guess I can list my requirements.
Rod- 1. light responsive(I want to feel the fish)...2 Length (I need to walk 2 min up a mountain so unsure)3. Casting weight. 1g to 15g. (I really only cast spinners and small trout spoons) 4 be able to cast long with one hand.
Reel- 1.casting weight similar to rod 2.Strong 3. Last long. 4. Fit good in the hand. 5 be a left handed reel. (I'm right handed but I like using my right hand to cast.)
Both reel and rod are only for freshwater.

Question Spots on NEPA Susquehanna
I'm looking to go fishing with a buddy of mine, and I was hoping someone here would know nice a spot along the Susquehanna in Bradford county for bank fishing. It'd be his first time fishing, and I wanna make sure he can catch something at least. I've tried a couple places with my folks but had no luck and I don't know of any lakes around that are any good.

Livescope/ active target question
Im looking for recommendations on livescope/ active targets systems but I need it explained like I’m 12 yrs old. I’m mainly fishing (hardly catching) for redfish, trout, snook in the rivers. Sometimes I go catch bass in the creeks. Every now and then I try soaking bait under bridges ext… What’s going to be my best options for what I’m doing?
It was a great birthday!
The Walleye run is officially on! Dad also caught a mid-size pike, and we each caught a few under-size saugers. The green one is a walleye that came up the red River from lake Winnipeg. The other one might be a hybrid? Couldn't land the big carp cause I only hooked its tail and it popped out as I was trying to grab it.

Garmin Striker Vivid 4
Am I missing something? That little arch sure looks like a fish, but I have fish icons turned on. I spent 4 hours on the water yesterday and marked absolutely zero fish on the Striker.
I'm new to this, so please be kind. I'm genuinely looking for setup/deciphering advice.

Discussion Tips for transporting travel rods without cutting each time?
Hey guys, got a kastking kestrel recently and it's a 3 piece rod. At first I was going to return it since it's pretty similar to my Tatula but it's so convenient being able to store it in my Bolt. That being said, are there any tips to store it away each time without having to snip the line each time? I know I could rerig each time but it's got micro eyelets which makes it difficult to have to do each time. For those of you who have travel rods, how do you avoid tangles when it comes time to reassemble things up again?

Saltwater What would you have done?
I was once tarpon fishing from a dock in Islamorada in the middle of the day and somehow hooked a 3 foot long barracuda. I was nervous because I only had fluorocarbon leader on and I know they have sharp teeth. It was about 5 feet away from me and I saw I was perfectly hooked in the left bottom corner of the mouth and was so hype. I let it run out though and spent about 30 minutes trying to carefully and slowly bring it in without having it snap my line first. And after 30 minutes, it finally bites my line and takes off. I was so upset. Yes, it was an unfortunate situation. I only had fluorocarbon on because that’s totally fine for tarpon fishing. They won’t be able to bite it off. Barracuda on the other hand… what would you have done in this situation?

Is this a tilapia or a carp?
I was fishing a very small pond and found this. There was a group of them and I thought it was just a carp at first but now that I keep looking at it, it looks like those live tilapias they sell at those asian grocery stores.

Saltwater What kind of fish can this setup handle?
Shimano Spheros SW Spinning Reel 4000XGSW
Paired with the newer St.Croix triumph 7’6” medium fast rod
I would primarily use it on flats and jetties and maybe some wading.
