Live map for where to vote and how long the lines are at the moment.

There are fewer locations that in years before, so it's better to vote as early as you can for the midterm elections.

Exercise your right to vote and don't let others take it away from you.

Another site from Tarrant Democrats: (thanks u/Blueberrycricut)

Long Voting Lines

If you are unhappy with the lack of voting places and the long lines, blame the County Judge and the GOP commissioners. Fortunately you may do something about it by voting them out.

Stand in line. Vote them out.

Conservative Christian nationalist groups have adopted the "Pine Tree" flag as a symbol of support for their political and religious views.

The flag gained renewed national controversy after appearing at the U.S. Capitol during the January 6, 2021, riot and outside the personal property of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito.

Have hated this guy's rhetoric with the passion of 10,000 suns since 2022, but ... anyone notice the irony that GOP might lose Tarrant BECAUSE of this homegrown chud?

Nice restaurants open Thanksgiving Day????

Ok before you judge, I have an elderly father living in a Senior Living facility in FW. He doesn't have even a dining table nor does he have an adequate kitchen. I live on the opposite side of the metroplex and I've invited him to stay with us many times and he always declines. So I'm looking for a nice restaurant to have a good quality traditional Thanksgiving lunch. I will tip the staff very generously. I have worked many holidays myself over the years so I know what that looks like and I wouldn't do this unless the circumstances called for it.

Thank you:)

President of the League of Women Voters of Tarrant County says the county needs more polling places

Monday marks the start of the second week of early voting and while turnout in Texas has been strong compared to the last midterm election in 2022, the first week of early voting didn’t pass without some issues.

Tarrant County saw hours-long lines at some polling locations last week, which some critics blamed on cuts to polling places made by the Republican majority on the commissioners court.

Janet Mattern, president of the League of Women Voters of Tarrant County, a nonpartisan group that works to expand voter access, shared her perspective on how early voting is going and how it can be improved.

Saw this on a Substack, laughed then wept then laughed then curled into a ball (for the "why here" crowd: literally the main face of this movement at this moment lives in Westover Hills)

So would "Rs" all vote on 11/3, or are they just sitting this one out -- no Trump, Paxton isn't their cup of tea, etc.

Even WSJ won't touch Paxton (not loving Talarico outright, but seemingly willing to hold their nose for him)

Street art outside arts goggle

When we were walking into the arts goggle last Saturday there were some lost twizzlers strewn about the sidewalk. When we were walking back to our car we noticed someone had made art out of them. If you haven't voted yet, please do!

Recommendations for vet clinics that aren’t super expensive

I normally take my cat to Lake Worth animal clinic but lately the prices for different things such as exams, bloodwork, urinalysis, x rays, etc have been going up. It seems like every time I go the prices for those things increased. I’m trying to get an ultrasound for my cat but they charge $675. I know that’s probably the normal price for that test but does anyone know any good affordable vets in the Fort Worth area?
