Status/Interview Update What Should I Do

Post image
232 Upvotes

I applied to law schools on 11 February 2026 because I got the 177 on my January LSAT. As background I (27F) am pretty well employed in a STEM field for the US government, so I really don’t need to pivot. I am currently trying to get grades retroactively withdrawn from the school I dropped out from which will bring my LSAC GPA up to 3.52. My degree GPA is 3.93. I also now work with a three star general on a daily basis now that I would go to for a new recommendation. Should I just accept Georgetown or apply to schools the next cycle better prepared?

Edit: I don’t have to think about funding because I get 100% of the GI bill from my military service

Status/Interview Update Gtown Alumni vs. Group Interview

I know people might have talked about this, and might not have any insight, and I am so shocked that I received an interview request at all, but it's with an alumni. My application isn't super strong to a school of Georgetown's caliber (16Mid, 3.9 GPA), and I know they primarily operate with group interviews, so I'm wondering if it's a bad sign that they're offering me a 1 on 1 with an alum instead of a group interview.

Status/Interview Update WashU Admissions Interview

I am honestly shocked I received an invite for an admissions interview based on my stats. 3.98 ugpa, 149 LSAT, single mom, first generation law applicant.

Just curious what others' thoughts might be regarding this interview request and what my chances may or may not look like.

Status/Interview Update GULC Interview Gripe

The interview seemed like a waste of time. 6/7 applicants are in a zoom with the Dean. You are given an hour to allow 7/8(with Dean) to speak. Then the Dean uses 20 mins to explain how it works and 10mins to say don’t use more time cuz you’ll seem bad (sooo him speaking soo much isn’t bad??). everyone is given 30 secs to speak for 4 rounds of question. so you only speak for 2 mins out of the hour… it was fine but like it wasn’t really an interview it seemed like the Dean just wanted to speak about himself which gave off a really negative perception of GULC from me. I got in last week but I really don’t like him and I honestly found him insufferable

Status/Interview Update Michigan Date Changes

Got a date change yesterday (10/19) for Michigan. I feel like I have mostly read about people getting date changes on Fridays, any ideas as to what a Monday date change might mean? Am I cooked?

Status/Interview Update Very unpleasant interview with George Mason Law- unprofessional and disappointed.

I recently had an interview with George Mason and it was terrible.

I get onto the zoom and my interviewer is dressed in a hoodie, in a poorly lit room, with a messy bun. Very unprofessional to say the least.

She continuously yawned throughout the interview, seemed uninterested the entire time and responded to each of my answers with "okay cool".

While asking one of my questions she goes "To be honest, I don't really remember your application...do you have a specific area of law your interested in"... If she even glanced at my application she would know as it was mentioned in BOTH my Mason statement and other application materials.

Overall I am very disappointed- not in myself- but in George Mason. I was excited for the interview and put a lot of time and effort in preparing and my interviewer couldn't be bothered to look at my application prior. I felt like I was bothering her and keeping her from her nap. Perhaps I am just comparing this to my WashU interview where my interviewer knew the most minute details of my application, seemed very interested and excited for me, and really tried to persuade me to come to their school.

I am very put off by this experience and doubt I'd even consider attending George Mason now.

Status/Interview Update Hot take: I do not do LOCIs/waitlists

I did not send a single LOCI this cycle nor did I further pursue any schools that waitlisted me. I already filled out a tedious ass application and now u want me to freaking throw myself at you via LOCIs?? Sorry but no! The application was interest enough. I committed to a school that wanted me from the jump.

Status/Interview Update UVA Interviews

UR over 10 days… maybe a dumb question but is it a bad sign if I haven’t been invited for an interview yet? I heard they were moving fast, and I saw ppl who went complete the same day as me have already interviewed and gotten a decision. UVA is my #1 so just looking to accept my fate or find a reason to stay hopeful ig 😭

Status/Interview Update ED Evening Students interview invites

For Georgetown!!

Has any ED evening student applicants for Georgetown received an interview? If so what was the timeline from when you submitted your application and received an interview?

I submitted early October and haven’t heard anything, wondering if I should kiss my dreams goodbye for this cycle.

Status/Interview Update i feel weird

i was under the impression i was gonna submit apps and have to wait forever for something to happen but i've had a couple status updates already (UR1, UR2, ii) even from schools known for slow admissions. i'm worried they all hate me and are collectively laughing at my app before they toss it in the reject pile. i don't have crazy softs and my stats are just okay so what's going on

ETA: maybe schools are more prepared for large volumes because recent cycles have been so crazy? idk

Status/Interview Update Berkeley II RD

Seems like most ppl are admitted without one.

Just wondering what it means and what made Berkeley send out interviews to some but not all candidates?

Any advice on how to prepare for it is appreciated too!

Status/Interview Update Acceptance via call

I’ve been seeing a lot of people say that they got their acceptance through a phone call from the school. I hope this isn’t a dumb question so please be nice but what happens if you miss that call? Should I start accepting all phone calls to be on the safe side?
