There's also Derrick White but I think Celtics will be good this season so doubt he gets traded.

Didn't include wings since we already have Kawhi and Scottie. also avoided players from teams who probably won't be sellers at the trade deadline.

If your the GM of the raptors what are some realistic moves you would make to get this team a championship in the Kawhi Scottie window and how would you handle RJ Barrett and IQ and Jaks contracts the Raptors have a very interesting roster and have potential to win it all if the right moves are made.

At last year's trade deadline, the Raptors dealt a first-round pick to the New Orleans Pelicans for Brandon Ingram, a former All-Star without much of a trade market. In this proposal, Toronto pounces on another opportunity to acquire a similarly undervalued former All-Star for one first-round pick.

In so doing, the Raptors would attempt to upgrade at the point guard position, where Quickley has been fine but unspectacular since joining the team in the OG Anunoby trade in December 2023. This season, Quickley has a 15.5 player efficiency rating (15.0 is average), which seems a fair assessment of his current value.

Morant would offer far more upside, albeit with a greater downside, but that's a reasonable risk for a team that could use a top-tier playmaker to seriously contend in the East. The Raptors rank third in defensive rating this season but only 20th on offense with Quickley running the show.

Memphis might reasonably ask for more draft compensation to take back Quickley's contract, which is somewhat underwater as it extends for another three years at $32.5 million per season. But if the situation with Morant has become so toxic that the Grizzlies just need a replacement -- and the expected trade return for him has fallen accordingly -- getting another first-round pick in a loaded 2026 draft could benefit them regardless

Morant has had several known issues off the court; Quickley has had no issues….

Morant is a 2X All-star.

Both players are 25 years old. Both players have some injury issues…

Based on those factors; The GM answer is still no (but an interesting thought).

Yes I know this is a couple days old but it is worth mentioning that those connections have been around since about 2024 when Jrue was traded to the Blazers as part of the Damian Lillard trade (Remember that this was when the Raptors had recently replaced Fred with Dennis Schroder and it was an open question whether he'd start or come off the bench/whether the Raptors would commit to O.G. and Siakam or rebuild around Barnes). Most infamously, the Raptors tried & failed to swap Quickley and Barrett for the Celtics White and Holiday in 2025 with the main selling point being the 9th overall pick.

Needless to say that, while IQ is a near perfect match for Jrue's salary, he would absolutely never come with the player that pick turned into in Collin Murray-Boyles.

If Quickley or Barrett are the centerpieces how do u take on Kyrie's contract without losing a good young player? I can't think of anything when messing around with trade machine. Every trade just doesn't seem worth it or not possible

How many seasons already that a big name star was supposed to come here and turned out to be a nothingburgers? Relax guys, no big name player is getting traded here. Probably a salary dump Ochai for a random player is more likely.

Obviously, it's unrealistic to expect a reduction in outgoing draft capital but with the Clippers being stripped of numerous picks and the rumors they might "begin a fire sale" (Source: https://www.hoopshype.com/story/sports/nba/rumors/2026/09/04/some-team-sources-wondered-whether-the-clippers-might/91606313007/), perhaps there is an opportunity to expand the trade either directly or with other teams being roped in? This comes with the obvious caveat that certain players on the Clippers can't be added to the deal if the plan is to get it wrapped up ahead of training camp.
