Being competitive every night

I don’t expect us to win 50 games or anything. But i look forward to not getting blown out by 30. I look forward to competitive 4th quarters.
I look forward to knowing who can get a bucket in the waning moments of a game.
We know we can put the ball in the Hands of Tre or throw it in the post to AD, and they can get a bucket or get to the line.

This team has been missing that since they traded John Wall away.

We all know Bradley Beal would just bounce the ball off his foot and get a turnover.

Also
Love the way our young guys are developing.

Bilal looks like he’s growing leaps and bounds. Blocking shots, getting steals and hitting threes.

Kyshawn has gotten bigger and stronger.

Loving what I’m seeing.
And it’s only up from here.

The Wizards outscored the Bulls 40-20 in the third quarter to improve to 2-1. Justin Champagnie -- what a basketball player. Here was our postgame show following the Wizards surviving the Bulls.

Might be a unique case for me, but question: where can I get washable hats (not hand wash and not beanies)?

Ask Reddit suggested to avoid zhat. That eliminates a lot of the options which leads me to my question: I would like to get a hat that I can wear and wash. If that’s not an option, are the ones that say they can be handwashed can they survive cleaning with wipes? My experience is the team store hats are cheaply made.

I don't mind him getting 3~5 min per game.

If I see him guard opposing team's best forward in the 4th quarter, I do mind a lot.

our young guys can put up 35 min easy. Just play more JC, Bilal, Tre. What in the world.

It did this on opening night as well but the game kicked in a few minutes into the 2nd quarter. Anyone else having this issue?

NBA store had a half-off sale for the start of the season, so I copped an AJ swingman for $75 shipped. Very happy.

Is it too crazy to think we’ll end the season with a winning record?

I keep seeing predictions for the wizards season to end with 38-40 wins. I really think, health being good, we could end with a winning record. Maybe not a deep push into the playoffs but it’s very feasible for us to go 42+ (I personally think 45 is very realistic).

Wizards Vs Raptors 10/23/26 Net Points

As explained from the first game, I will
be posting net points from each game to contextualize the performance better for everyone on a nightly basis. Just a reminder:

“It quantifies every rebound, shot, turnover and free throw and assigns credit and blame to the players on the court. It divides credit and blame based on the difficulty of the players' contributions to the success or failure of the team.”

Here are today’s net points! Tre Johnson is today’s MVP in terms of net points. I think +0.9 dNet isn’t reflective from what I saw where he was hunted multiple times but it was clear he was a positive influence. Even though Champaigne’s shot wasn’t falling (shows in the oNet) he was still impactful with boards which is why he graded out positively on defense (ended possessions). Sarr was a rim deterrent and Ayton is well worth his contract. Ky was abysmal from start to finish and AD needs to embrace a play finisher role on offense quickly.

A Laker fan’s thoughts about the Wizards game against MIL

Came here to say that the Wizards played beautiful basketball on Wednesday. Everyone from top to bottom played great. Bilal, Sarr, George, Young and Davis were a unit. It was truly a pleasure to watch. Furthermore, I truly believe that when healthy, AD is the greatest big man in the league. After years of struggles, I’m really happy for you guys. Cheers!

How do we get the games on YoutubeTV?

Been a couple years since I gaf enough to watch. I don't see the game on my youtubetv lineup. Wasn't there some kind of new deal with Monumental that made it difficult to watch the Caps and Wizards now?

Sat Behind the Wizards Bench Last Night. Some Observations:

Because the whole team is basically 7ft tall, I could barely see for most of the game. Instead, I was treated to the show within the show - watching the player/coach dynamics up close.

1.) Anthony Davis is the leader of this team. In every huddle, Keefe would say his piece, then AD would come in and say his. He spoke with intense passion and the young guys really listened. Any claims that he isn’t bought into playing here are false. Even if he wasn’t stoked when the trade happened, Davis is now 100% invested in winning with this squad.

2.) The team calls Bilal Coulibaly “BC”. So throughout the game, you’re constantly hearing “BC!” and “AD!” Which are the markers of time surrounding the before and after the birth of Jesus Christ. To which I then realized they also call Justin Champagnie “JC”. So we really have the entirety of human history covered.

3.) Bub was throwing up into a trash can in the 4th quarter, and seemed to be explaining to his family in the stands that it was a sinus related issue. I was worried, but then the video of him catching a vibe in the locker room after the game made it seem like he’s cool.

4.) Khris Middleton was working with his physical therapist almost every single moment he wasn’t playing in the game. Seemed like he needed some help getting/staying warm and loose.

5.) AJ was constantly pumping up the crowd, cracking jokes with his teammates, and celebrating moments of the game. He was incredibly present and engaged the whole time, and seems to be having a blast.

6.) Anthony Gill stood up, walked over, and dapped up every single player when they got subbed out of the game, every single time, without fail. He knows his role on the team and plays it well.

7.) Tre Johnson is serious as a motherfucker. This shit is not a game to him, and when AJ and Jamir and others tried cracking jokes with him he was not having it. Not even in a confrontational way, it just seemed like he was laser focused and perhaps a bit frustrated with his play at times.

8.) Keyshawn was very pissed at either himself or the ref when he got subbed out with his 4th (or 5th?) foul. He wanted to be in the game so badly and it killed him to be taken out. Dude is hungry to be out there.

9.) I’ve watched Deandre Ayton since he got into the league and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him have this much fun on a team. He is so happy. In the game, on the bench. Doesn’t matter. Dude was smiling and laughing the whole time.

10.) Brian Keefe understands the change in his role this year. He was yelling at his assistant coaches almost immediately in the 1st quarter when the Bucks seemed to keep breaking through the defense and getting easy layups. He didn’t let a single thing go. He made adjustments constantly and called timeouts at the right moments. Extremely engaged, active, and locked in on finding the winning lineups/strategies to get this team playing it’s best basketball.
