I've been wanting to buy the first one for days now, do you recommend the manga? So far I've only seen the amazing anime that traumatized me and made me love Frieren as a character.

They clearly have feelings for each other; they go on that one date… then nothing. The story moves on without really coming back to their relationship - it just pops them back on the shelf and off we go again.

Now, if I’m reading Frieren correctly, the one big overarching theme is the regret she has for not realizing her feelings about Himmel and expressing them while he was still alive. Stark and Fern seem to be making exactly the same mistake right in front of Frieren, and she never really says anything.

There's an almost cruel irony in watching Fern and Stark waste opportunities to express their feelings while travelling alongside an elf whose greatest regret is not appreciating the limited time she had with someone she loved.

Or am I being impatient? Do they still have time?

Am I the only one who thinks their designs are really cool? I'd like to see more of the others, but probably only Lernen is still alive.

I don't know much about frieren and haven't watched the show but love that song and specially that part.

Online it's called stattabacca or something but there are no seperate video of it. It's all just the song.

What do you guys think, would the tone of the story change?
