The soldiers would still feel like no one can touch them."
The @HindRFoundation has filed an urgent request with the U.S. Department of Justice demanding the immediate investigation, arrest and prosecution of Sean Glass, who it says is currently in the United States and commanded the company implicated in the killing of five-year-old Hind Rajab.
The foundation says the "Vampire Empire" Company he led is also implicated in the killing of members of her family and the medics sent to rescue them. Its investigation places Glass and his troops in the direct vicinity of Hind's vehicle, and it says he most likely gave the order to open fire.
Rep. Rashida Tlaib has backed the call, urging the Justice Department to "comply with the law and take action."
Drop Site's @maysamustafa spoke with @jake_romm, HRF's U.S. representative, about why the foundation pursues soldiers on the ground and not only leaders like Netanyahu. The War Crimes Act gives the U.S. jurisdiction over suspects on its soil, and the Geneva Conventions obligate Washington to prosecute. What's missing, Romm says, is political will.
