Fanart There’s coffee in that nebula …
My sketch of a fav. quote. lol. One of the reasons I love Janeway so much. So feisty.

Was the remaining crew of the Equinox, who joined Voyager, ever seen or mentioned again? As far as I recall, no.

Show Talk Concerning Flight
This episode is a guilty pleasure for me.
I love Voyager coming up against a superior (technically) bad guy for a change.
I love John Rhys Davies as Leonardo DeVinci. He’s always excellent when he turns up and it’s amazing they were able to get him for this.
The only the thing about the episode that gets me…takes me right out of it…is when Janeway finds the computer and says “Voice interface? Woah, pretty nice!”
Back when this episode aired we already had products like Dragon that could do a “voice interface” and we’ve seen it so commonly in Star Trek it’s insane to think that would impress anyone in the delta quadrant either.
My question to you: was Janeway playing country bumpkin, or did the writers really think talking to our AI was going to be a 24th century novelty?

Show Talk Seemed like Voyager should have started having difficulties functioning due to lack of crew at some point
Granted, there were a number of Maquis that were added to the crew compliment and gave them a "surplus" so to speak, but there were also quite a lot of deaths (both specific crew member and incidents where x number of unnamed crew died). I guess there was enough Maquis to offset the losses?
Even if it wouldnt have been a difficulty from a manpower perspective, difficulties should have arisen from a loss of expertise (even if many of the crew wore "multiple hats" as it were)
They also didnt add much after the first episode aside from Neelix and Kes (who both eventually leave the ship), Seven, and the 3(?) crew members they added from the USS Equinox.
Seemed like with how often many of the other species they encountered were hugely impressed with voyager that none ever joined the crew.
Also, no crew member ever wanted to leave the ship (aside from Seska), despite many good opportunities (especially in the episode "The 37s")?

Memes Hello, USS Voyager here…
I have a problem that I need some help with. My captain is refusing to address me by my proper pronouns. Can any other ships help me with their own experience? It’s very frustrating because I feel like all she’s using me for is my coffee.

Show Talk Episode "30 days" How much pressure would there be?
As Tom recounts in the letter he is writing to his father, he says "600 kilometers underwater, propulsion offline, water pouring into the cabin. It was like something out of one of those 'Jules Vernes' stories you used to read me when i was a kid"
I got curious as to what sort of pressure would be at that depth.
Assuming it was saltwater (as earlier in the episode the described the planet as a giant ocean) the pressure would be 873540.51 psi.
By comparison, the deepest point on Earth, The Mariana Trench 10,935 m (35,876 ft), only has a measurement of 15920.28 psi at that depth.
Also, after what occurred on the Titan submersible, all 4 people aboard the Delta Flyer would have been turned into liquid given that there was a hull breach and water was leaking into the vessel.

Show Talk The Kes departure full story
Greetings. So I know the sorry of just about every star trek character that left the show like Denise Crosby and Dax and such….
But I’ve never heard about the actress that played Kes and what the story was. Was she just cut? They ever interviewed her that you’ve seen? Anyone know what the full story was there?

Show Talk I think it's hilarious Ensign Harry Kim remains an ensign for 7 years
Janeway could have promoted him at any time to Lt. Junior Grade, especially after all that he'd done, but doesn't.
I don't dislike it, I find it funny and it always gives me a chuckle. "Ensign" pretty much becomes his first name.

Show Talk Why did Tom Paris not receive provisional rank like Chakotay?
Or vice versa.
The explanations I've seen is that Tom Paris as an Academy graduate had is commission re-instated.
Why not Chakotay? Because not only was Chakotay an Academy graduate, he reached the rank of Lt. Commander and voluntarily resigned his commission (left on good terms) unlike Paris who was kicked out of Starfleet.
You could make the case that Chakotay was given the provisional rank to demonstrate the recognition he is Maquis and in a position of Authority to keep the Maquis crew in line as reinstating his commission officially may have alienated him from the Maquis.
I can get on board with that explanation for Chakotay getting provisional rank. However, i still think Paris also should have been given provisional rank. He got kicked out of Starfleet, also joined the Maquis. I don't think the fact he was helping Janeway with tracking down Maquis, made him worthy of reinstatement.

Show Talk Regarding Voyager's first Q episode...
I want to talk about Voyager's first Q episode. I never even finished it when I watched it recently, and I watched it a long time prior. I'm very bothered by the theme of suicide, let alone the plot of the episode of Quinn wanting to be mortal to kill himself. So bothered I'm angry about the theme of suicide, regardless of John De Lancie's humor. Angry that this had to come up in one of my favorite shows (even if Deep Space Nine takes number one in favorites).
Is anybody bothered by that episode from watching it? Particularly from the recurring use of the word "suicide?" I mean, I get it, Quinn is tired of being immortal, but it doesn't mean he has to die instantly once he's mortal. And there are plenty of religions that indicate how there are so many good afterlifes.
I repeat: Is anybody bothered by that episode from watching it?
