I regret how much I spent on my domestique

Been cycling for a few years, and bought my first ever new domestique. The dom itself is just fine, i just don’t know that it’s worth what I paid. I’ve never spent that much money on myself at one time, and I keep seeing completely adequate doms on FB marketplace for half what I paid. I guess it’s just a learning experience, but hoping to hear I’m not alone in this.

Glass everywhere. PSSSSSHHHHhhhhhh. Flip the bike, install extra tube, use my hand pump like a crazed chimp on the sidewalk. Reach satisfactory pressure. Remove pump. Remove valve. PSSSSSSHHHHHhhhhhh. Reinstall valve. Start over. (I AM LEARNING PATIENCE NOW) Reach ~10 PSI. Pump fails internally. The greatest humiliation of all? The nearest bike shop is a Tr*k store.
