As per the title, I am after some advice on my first fun. I have pretty much settled on an M4 style AEG. After reading some reviews and doing a bit of research, I have found the following

Now I am aware this is not premium. I have to be money conscious at the moment, as do most people I guess. I’m aware that it doesn’t come with the battery or charger aswell.

I have been looking at what upgrades would be the most bang for my buck, and I have been steered in the direction of these:

Now when it comes to optics, I am in 2 minds. I found that I was shooting at around 30-40 meters, so I’m not sure if a red dot would be the best option, or a 3-9 scope. I found the one below which could be an option.

So, am I wasting my time and money with these? Any better recommendations? I’m looking at a maximum of £250 for everything (excluding batteries and charger and mags )for my first gun.

Im new to the hpa and i made a post before in here talking about hpa prebuilts and alot of other stuff. I dont know yet if im gonna buy a prebuilt like some from wolverine or if im gonna built on myself/with help. But what parts to use. I see alot of people talking about something spark wolf polarstar and gate and so on. What would people recommend, prebuilt or custom and if custom what parts?

What do you guys wear on your head for some kind of protection? I am a bald fellow I would appreciate a bit of protection. I don’t want to go down the fast helmet route though as it seems to be very popular.

I’ve had a catastrophic failure with my only RIF and i’ve got a game day coming up this sunday but most places like classified sites are just full of GBBR/HPA and solid £850 prices

anyone know some decent places to find a standard AEG or lower budget options?

Sharing my new addition. Car15SD with custom handguard to fit the VR16 barrel nut designed courtesy of the team at Strix Airsoft.

Internally it's got a real buffer and spring, Waldo bucking and npas.

Externally it's a VFC VR16, with a cheapo carry handle upper, a custom SD habdguard, diefreeco Kung Fu grip, TM AAC flash hider and suppressor and a 3d printed front sight. All that's missing is a rail and optic which I'm on the lookout for.

Today was my first ever experience of Airsoft. I’ve just returned from Black Ops in Bristol near Cribbs Causeway.

If any of you were there today, I was the tall bald fella in the green beanie hat using the Tokyo Marui MTR16

Firstly, I just want to thank the people who recommended both the eye protection and lower face protection in my previous posts. These both held up really well and took a fair bit of punishment. Unfortunately, I probably will invest in a Delta Mike and some Boles as my current set up just isn’t comfortable.

Upon arrival, I couldn’t help but feel a bit intimidated as they were clearly some very experienced people there who had guns with every letter of the alphabet in the names of them😂.

Once out on the field and the nerves had calmed down. I found the majority of people to be quite chatty and decent to be honest. I enjoyed most of the games, even though sometimes the rules were a bit confusing. This was a “last of us” themed event so they did try to incorporate that into the games. I did find that these themes pretty much went out the window once the game had started😂.

I guess the only downside that I could say was that I clearly didn’t hydrate enough as I suffered cramp in the last game and I probably wouldn’t use the MTR again as I found it pretty difficult to manoeuvre and found it affected any agility that I had. But, I cannot complain as my Brother was kind enough to lend me this one. In time, I will get my own gun and will probably aim for an M4 type.

Overall, a good experience and something I would want to do again. Now start the long road of getting the kit up together.

I've been tinkering with ChatGPT again, this time it's my VFC HK416A5 V3, a genuine Magpul P-mag with deactivated 5.56mm rounds top it off nicely.

This came with my Cyma CM.045C AKS-74U Tactical, and according to Google it's a hop-up spacer that goes under the dust cover, but I can't see how.

Anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: Appears to be for adjusting front sights. I'll confirm for definite as soon as I can. I'll also leave the post up incase anyone else has the same question

Hi, has anyone had any experience with the Wiley X Saber eye pro? Currently using some Bolle safety trackers which regardless of the weather fog up within about 15 mins even with using anti fog spray on them.
