question Baby food in Bangkok

• Upvotes

Hi parents,

I’ll be traveling back to Bangkok with my 15 month old baby, and I’m looking for recommendations on baby food and diapers available locally.

We usually get organic baby food and Pampers Harmony diapers.

Are there any stores or brands that you could recommend?

Thank you in advance for your help!

question How close to the lease end, should you talk to your landlord about a renewal for your condo lease?

• Upvotes

Hoping I can get a renewal with no increase in rent, as I got a pretty good price. But If I do get hit with an increase Id like to check out my options and maybe move.

discussion Jewelry Recommendations

Hey guys, travelling to Thailand in Feburary and would love some reccomendations for rings ( I really want a 0.3-0.5ct marquis cut solitaire ring) for a grad gift. My budget is between 10,000THB to 15,000THB (+/-10%). Since the ring I am looking for is dainty I assume that it would not be as hard to source? I do not want to pay much more than 15,000 as then it is getting into similar prices as where I live (NZ) as anything in the 20,000+ range is the same price back home.

Let me know who you would reccomend or even if you wouldnt reccomend it as my budget is too small?

Hello!

Can anyone recommend someone in BKK (or elsewhere in TH) who can create a pattern from photos for a simple cotton blend a-line athleisure wear style tank top and then sew/create a sample/prototype?

discussion Furniture delivery/moving in Bangkok - any app?

Hi everyone,

Living in Thailand for a couple of years, but last 5 years outside of Bangkok, now moving back. Looking to buy some second hand furniture on Marketplace etc., but wondering on transport. Are there any apps now for short-notice booking for moving larger furniture? E.g. Lalamove? Can you hire a truck on short notice with some helping hands to carry on the app now?

Best would be short-notice availability (e.g. arrival to pick-up within 1-2 hours). Also happy to get recs for small companies/drivers, Thai language communication not a problem for me.

Cheers!

discussion Best area for childless trip in Bangkok

Early 40s US based couple. Have traveled Thailand fairly extensively but not without our child. Looking for a place to stay with chill nightlife, coffee culture, shopping, and above all food. Most of our time has been in issan and Chang Mai with a few days here and there in Bangkok and we want to take some time and explore. Typically we prefer to stay in a neighborhood and just immerse ourselves in the everyday lives of the locals

discussion Where do you go to cry in Bangkok when you can’t at home?

Flatmates, parents, thin condo walls... Where’s your spot? Park bench, karaoke room, the back of a Grab bike? Asking for a light-hearted local guide I’m writing, and happy to credit usernames.

travel Best ways to get to Thammasat Stadium

Hi everyone, I’m going to Thailand for the very first time, and I was wondering what the best way is to get from Ratchadapisek Rd to Thammasat Stadium. It’s for a concert on a saturday, so is it a good idea to book a Grab there and back? And if so, should I book a Grab in advance? I’d love to hear all your suggestions!

My sister and I are coming to Bangkok for a fetish event in November.

We are hoping to find some cool places to party while we are there.

We are not in our 20's and prefer crowd that is not 18yo. ( there are reasons ) we party hard and our favourite scene is Berlin ( clock multiple cumulative shifts @ Church whenever we can iykyk).

Would you have any recommendations for us please.

Thank you

news Anyone looking for a place to smash a car / rage near Bangkok? Body Car-smash

Thinking of a private car-smash setup in Lam Luk Ka (Khlong 5), close to Bangkok — real workshop tools and safety gear. Would you book something like that? Any similar places near BKK?

healthcare Where to find affordable swab testing clinic

Specifically wanted to test for ureaplasma so wanted to get a vaginal swab test. I don’t know if Red Cross would have them. But anyplace that’s affordable since they don’t have this specific test in my home country and I’m traveling so would want to test it.

discussion Realistic prices for a car-smash / rage-car experience near Bangkok?

Hi — looking for honest feedback from anyone who's done a rage room or car-smash experience (or would pay for one).

Planning a small private car-smash setup in Lam Luk Ka (Khlong 5), Pathum Thani — real workshop tools (hammers, crowbars, wrenches), safety gear provided.

Rough draft pricing in THB:

- Glass only: ฿500

- Seat cushion tear: ฿1,200 each

- Doors: ฿1,500–4,500 depending on size

- Rear end: ฿5,000

- Full car: ฿35,000 total

Does this feel high, low, or fair for Bangkok-area tourists or locals? Any similar places you've seen and what they charged?

Thanks.
