Shopping for espresso machine. Please advise.
Hello there!
First, I am glad to announce that I am in the market for an Espresso machine. Finally the wife and I had come to the conclusion that we can now own one after a decade of using a mocha maker.
Still very amateur in the process of coffee making but definitely enjoying it, and that’s why I have a few questions.
We’re looking for a machine that can use a reservoir since the water of our town is very hard and tends to change the taste of the water. Our fridge ice maker and water is not the best, even though runs through a filtration system.
The ice maker stop working because of the sedimentation. That’s why we are leaving on a machine with reservoir.
Besides that we would like to have one that is not extreme laid since brewing coffee at 5-6 am will wake up the kiddos.
Any advice will be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks!!🙏

Mixpresso?
This is a single serve coffee maker that uses coffee grounds rather than pods. I bought it new from Amazon and when I opened it up there was gross residue on one of the parts.
Is this a legitimate brand worth saving or replacing? The fact that I can’t find anything about it on Reddit kind of scares me. And that disgusting stuff on a NEW machine.
If I should return it, what are some suggestions on single serve coffee makers? I want to get away from pods and I can’t spend a bunch of money. I am also not sure about pots because I am mostly a one cup per day type of person.
Thanks!

A good filter coffee machine?
Hello everyone! I need some suggestions from you, i am sorry if this is not the right subreddit or if this have been asked already!
My boyfriend’s birthday is approaching, and I was thinking about gifting him a proper filter coffee machine since he really likes filter coffee, specifically the batch brew. I have no idea of a good coffee machine tho, and I have been looking around for recommendations. He’s always talking about the Moccamaster, but that is way over the price range I am looking for.
Does anyone have any recommendations for good filter coffee machines that are around 100/150€?
Thank you so much for your help!

Cuisinart 4 in 1 leaking from hinge/lid
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
This coffee maker is about one year-old in the coffee pot didn’t fill up this morning after brewing. It looks like water is leaking from around the hinge area of the lid. Has anyone had this issue and been able to resolve it?

Changing from Nespresso… used to have a Barista Pro
Hi,
I am putting my Nespresso pod machine in the bin as the coffee tastes like trash and is not worth the convenience of time and effort (for me).
Prior to this machine, I owned a Breville Barista Pro and could make really good coffee with it - usually a latte. I sold this as I needed something faster for my lifestyle aka not needing to clean or tamper etc.
Now I am looking for another machine to bridge the gap that doesn’t require too much manual input. I’ve ruled out semi-automatics due to this.
I have seen the Philips Baristina and Delonghi Magnifica online and believe these are the types that would work for me but I’m not sure if there are any other options or if these are even that good.
I’d mainly make lattes - I don’t mind a steam wand or not, I’m more interested in the machines ability to make flavourful coffee. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
TLDR: used to own barista pro - coffee was good, sold it and bought Nespresso machine for convenience. Need advice for automatic machine options.

WDT Tool (Press vs. Manual)
So we currently use a WDT tool that looks very similar to this (https://ikapestore.com/collections/espresso-rotary-wdt-tool/products/ikape-espresso-v2-wdt-tool-with-stand). It works, but I'm trying to find something that's a bit less manual for my wife. Someone nearby is selling this (https://www.blacksheep.io/us/bincoo-premium-coffee-distributor-wdt-tool-for-espresso.html), which seems so straightforward, but wasn't sure if it works effectively. Anyone have experience with this particular model or style?

Gemilai 3003b and G3610. How many cups can I do in a row? Do I wait for a few minutes in between?
Planning to get a G3003b or a g3610 for home use but we do as many as 6 cups to 8 cups at a time when we have friends at home. Can I extract espresso 6 to 8 cups in a row? Do I have to wait in between? Mostly we do hot latte and capuchino. Sometimes cold milk coffee too in the evening. Im planning df54 coz of lirs of good reviews. Now im looking for something to oair it with. Not rich so I cant afford those fancy italian brand coffee machines. I have 12k buget for grinder and around the same for coffee machine. So can this work for 6 to 8cups in a row?
If i have the money I know the CRM3026 can handle it easily, but if I buy this I have to turn it into a business to get back my money. But for now im looking for a cheap machine that can handel 6 to 7cups at a time. So can it be done with cheaper machine? Any advice or recomendation? This is my first coffee machine BTW coming from a bosch coffee maker. Thanks please comment and help me out we are geting the machine this weekend.

recommendations for couple?
newly engaged couple and moving out in 2 weeks!! we are looking for our first coffee machine!! everyone talks about breville, but we really can’t afford a $600 coffee machine 😅
we enjoy iced lattes and iced coffee, so something that can brew both espresso and coffee would be ideal! we don’t like using pods, so only beans and ground coffee! we appreciate any recommendations and would prefer to stay under $250-300!
thanks in advance!

Tank Float? (ECM Syncronika)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I have lost track of how to put these pieces in. I insert the two pieces as the video shows. When I fill the tank both pieces just "come out of the groove" and float on top of the water. I have tried to find solution on YouTube and in the manual... no luck.
I appreciate your help.
Thanks, Jeff

Encore grinder- too much fines
Hello,
I'm getting so frustrated with my grinder. I use it for a French press. Grind level 20 and brew for 4 min works on a good day. But the grind is often inconsistent- too many fines. I have cleaned it, I add a drop of water to reduce static. But still it's hit or miss.
I purchased my encore grinder second hand and few months ago. The first month- no issue.
The guy I bought it from had 5-star reviews. He said he only used it once in a while- he estimated about 10lbs of coffee. The machine looks to be in great condition.
any advise is apprecieated. thank you

Plastic-free coffee maker?
I’m looking for an automatic drip coffee maker that doesn’t have plastic parts that come into contact with the water or coffee. This means the filter basket can’t be plastic, nor the top of the coffee pot. Also, I would not want the water reservoir to be made out of plastic. Is there such a product? Bonus points if the carafe is made out of stainless steel instead of glass. Thanks for any information you can share!
