I thought I had a good idea for this one, but I feel like there’s something about it that just missed the mark?? Any tips or comments on what I could have done better??

A little story. This is from Kerby Rosannes Fragile World where he features endangered species. I wanted to look the animal up to pick out my colors so I went to google with "Philippine naked-backed fruit bat" and got as far the first three words when my phone exploded with some inappropriate suggestions.

😂😂 upside though i'm sure I found the reference photo Kerby used to do the illustration. (Last picture)

Colored this a while ago as well

Colored this a while ago but forgot to post it here.

Finally finished coloring this little underwater cutie! 🧜‍♀️🐠🌸 I had so much fun playing with all the bright colors, especially the rainbow hair and the little fish. The blue background took some time, but I love how everything turned out! 💙

Swipe to see some close-ups!
