I've really only had my page live for about a month, doing all the social media stuff, and sitting at 62 wishlists right now. There's lots of features I'm still adding that arent in the trailer/screenshots yet, but outside that I know there's gotta be improvements to be made.

I'm also starting to worry that the "Idle" in my game name Orbital Defense Idle is doing more harm than good. While my game can be played mostly 'idle' once you get going, I'm adding more active elements to the gameplay. I worry that "Idle" in the name is decreasing my potential audience and maybe a more general name could appeal to a wider crowd? Kinda considering changing "Idle" to something else.

Any thoughts? See anything on my page that could be improved?

Hey there!

I’ve been developing this retro roguelite exploration shooter called Leticulus for the past few years. Everything's made by me, even the capsule art.

The Steam page has been up for like a month or so, and I don’t even dare to mention how low the number of wishlists still is xD

Most wishlists came from a public playtest at a game dev convention, and most people really seemed to enjoy it and gave valuable feedback. Some even came back and tried it multiple times. So the main issue must be with my Steam page, I suppose.

Does the game look too boring? Do my pixel art skills need a little work? Is the idea not as fun as I thought?

So please destroy my Steam page. Be brutally honest. No sugarcoating.

Hello!

Me and a few friends are currently working on a game called Be Gray, Do Crime and we're planning on updating our Steam page real soon! So we need feedback! What do we crucially need to fix? Is anything unclear with our current Steam page? Feel free to roast us!

It's all slop I can't code. How cooked am I and how do I justify Claude Max to my wife?

I've been grinding hard to get my steam page for Constellations: Space Company Simulator up and running. After looking at other steam pages for research I feel like mine is decent. But alas destroy it! Feedback welcome :)

Hi everyone!

We’re a small indie team from France. Our Steam page for Val Fortuna went live recently, and we just showed an early version of the game at a festival. Players really enjoyed it, but some feedback suggests the page and trailer don’t explain the game very well, so we’d love some honest (and brutal) opinions.

Here’s what we’d especially like to know:

First impression: after looking at the capsule and the first seconds of the trailer, can you tell what kind of game this is?

Anything else that feels off is welcome too. Don’t hold back!

Thanks a lot!

My friends say it’s slop. I’m sure Reddit will be much kinder.

What would you fix first?

Got More? on Steam

Here's my steam page. At the current wishlist rate, I'm on track to make $50 on release. Genuinely need to know what to fix.

Sundown Deadrot on Steam

I've done everything I can, and my eyes are not objective about my page any more. Please tell me what I should fix or improve or anything.

Hey everyone! I’m a solo dev working on Dough It Yourself, a cozy farming game where you run a bakery using ingredients you grow on your own farm. The Steam page has been up for about 6 months, and I finally sat down with the traffic stats. Honestly, they made me a bit worried.

The numbers (lifetime):

• ~18,700 real visits (bots excluded), 859 wishlists (~4.6% conversion)
• Around two thirds of the traffic comes from my own marketing (devlogs, Shorts, Reddit, direct links)
• Steam itself barely sends me anyone. Tag pages showed my capsule 11,300 times, but only 1.63% clicked. The Coming Soon list is at 1.86%.

So when people find the game through me, some of them wishlist it. But when they see it cold on Steam, almost nobody clicks. I want to figure out why:

• Is it the capsule art?
• The trailer?
• The store page in general?
• The tags?
• Or is the game just not that appealing?

About the capsule: after a few variations, I had someone make this one for me. I watched the whole process, hand-drawn in Krita, but it still regularly gets called AI. Without anyone needing to be nice about it, I’d really like your honest opinion: does it feel AI to you? Would a new capsule actually make a big difference, or is the problem somewhere else?

Any brutal feedback is welcome. Thank you!!

Hey everyone!

I'm a solo developer working on Umbraelum, an isometric action roguelite. I launched my Coming Soon page about two weeks ago, and so far Steam reports around 985 visits (including 147 flagged as bot traffic), but only 9 wishlists.

I'm starting to wonder if there's something about the way I'm presenting the game that's putting people off.

I'd really appreciate some brutally honest feedback.

Does the game actually look appealing? Is the capsule interesting enough to click on? Does the trailer make the gameplay look fun? Are the screenshots doing their job? Does the whole thing look too generic or unpolished?

Most importantly, if you came across this game on Steam, what would stop you from wishlisting it?

Please don't hold back just to be nice. If something looks bad, boring, cheap, or confusing, I'd genuinely like to know. I'd much rather hear it now and improve things than keep making the same mistakes.

Thanks in advance to anyone willing to take a look!

Looking for feedback on anything. I'm worried the game lacks any kind of hook. Thanks in advance.

Heyy, so I got to finish something and decided that it was the time to put myself out there and finally show people what I made; Makoto Maze is a 2D Psychological Horror Game inspired by Japanese folklore, disturbing family dynamics and... old vhs?

https://store.steampowered.com/app/5373100/Makoto_Maze/

I've been making Moorlet alone, after work, and the store page is the first thing most people will ever see of it. I'd rather hear the brutal version from you now than hear nothing in December.

https://store.steampowered.com/app/5440830/Moorlet/

What it is: you build a small island one terrain card at a time, and most mornings one of the cards is a curse you have to place yourself. At night the monsters come out of it.

What I'm unsure about:

1. Does the capsule tell you this is a strategy game, or does it look purely cozy?

2. The first screenshot is a calm village. Should it open with a night battle instead?

3. Is the short description clear in one read?

4. Which trailer should play first?

I'll answer every comment and fix what I can before launch.

Just submitted my playtest build for review, any feedback with the current state of the page is welcome!

Please tell me what to fix or improve before Steam NextFest.

Made a card roguelite where you farm. People do check out the page but hardly anyone wishlists it, and I can't tell what's turning them off.

Steam page

What genre do you think it is at first glance? And what would make you skip it?

Any feedback helps, harsh is fine

release is nov 26. steam rejected my first capsules because the card art had text on it lol so now its just logo + card

would you wishlist this or does it look like every other idle game

Guess how many wishlist our game got based on our steam page...

Here is the Steam Page: [ CATpitalist_Cafe_Simulator ] ✨💗

Idea is the Steam "capsule" but with widgets in the background. Color theme is similar to Deus ex human revolution, which is based on old monochrome CRT monitors being either green or amber. Green was too cliche (matrix) so amber it is.
