Hand A violet, my second completed project!
I worked on this on and off for a few months and learned a lot in the process. I'd never tried to embroider on a bag before, but this was a gift and that's what the giftee wanted. I'd also never let water-soluble pen sit on fabric for months at a time, but it was a non-issue. I got a lot of long and short stitch practice on this one.
The pattern is free, from the DMC website, but I made a few modifications.

Hand Fourth project so far.
In memory of “CrayCray” aka Elsa, my baby.
(Cherax quadricarinatus crayfish)
She was the size of my pinky and a baby blue when we brought her home. My youngest named her, but with her antics, she was then just dubbed CrayCray.
In the store tank, she was with a BIG cray and missing legs. So my heart went out to her. I had an extra shrimp tank running already… Empty and ripe for exploration.
She decided to make a Secondary “Great Escape” and I couldn’t save her in time… the exact day I had her 55gal upgraded tank finished up. She was roughly 2yrs old and about 9in big (body only, with antenna would be about double.)
PS. Just put animals in their largest space size when ya bring them home. Don’t be silly like me and loose a beloved pet right when you’re setting up a new bad azz space for them.
Lost her early this year. Couldn’t find an invert taxidermist in time before my freezer broke. 😭😂 TMI. My apologies.
Anyhow, this was my fourth project overall and I am very pleased with how she turned out. All hand drawn on and hand stitched based off this old photo of her before the tank was really small for getting a good photo of her.
I hope I captured her vibe. She was glorious. Still haven’t found a crayfish I am willing to take on after loving her so desperately.
Thanks for reading the post. I think, I needed to grieve her a little bit.

Hand Wrong time of year for snowdrops
I followed the Trimits Snowdrop kit (TCK075) which was not always the most straight-forward but I am pleased with how it turned out.

Hand Crafty but new to embroidery
I did the embroidery in June, finally mounted it today. I had an idea of what I wanted to do and the rest just happened. A bit much? Possibly and I absolutely love it. I've got a few others on the go (all Phish themed), but not feeling the creativity (perhaps too planned), so I step away.
Feedback is welcome but not necessary, I just wanted to say "Look what I can do!" because I think it's cool.

Hand Patchwork embroidered bear. Might redo later due to fabric glue showing up unevenly, but couldn’t find a better solution for the fraying :/

Hand I embroidered a little pigeon brooch!
I am a little obsessed with pigeons (and embroidery) so I made myself a little pigeon brooch. I basically stitched it on felt, added beads around the outside to make a little frame and then stitched on another piece of felt as backing using blanket stitch!

Hand Luchador Kitties
Quick little embroidery project for my cousins birthday. Her Grey cat is named Violeta, so went with a two tone purple mask. She just adopted a black cat, and named him Ignacio, so had to go with the Nacho Libre mask. Safe to say she loved it 💜💙❤️

Hand Cave of Cats aka Birthplace of Halloween 🎃🐈⬛️
🖤* Cave of Cats 🐈⬛️👻
🔥Welcome to the Gateway to Hell. Muhaha!🔥
This little ditty is inspired by Oweynagat, otherwise known as the Cave of Cats, a natural limestone fissure cave in County Roscommon, Ireland. Often called the birthplace of Halloween, this eerie site is steeped in ancient Irish mythology and is believed to have served as a gateway to the Otherworld.
According to legend, fearsome supernatural beings emerged from Oweynagat around Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival marking the transition from summer to winter. Among them were three-headed monsters, destructive pigs, and magical cats. These ancient beliefs helped shape the traditions surrounding Halloween, including protective bonfires and wearing disguises to ward off wandering spirits. 🎃
✨️ Complete with gold metallic floss, green and clear seed beads, and gold velvet fabric. A refurbished vintage frame with a black and gold paint job. Hung with black velvet ribbon. Oo la la. 💕✨️

Hand First big piece finished
Designed this myself for a friend's 40th! I think I maybe pulled the cloth too tight and that's why it's wrinkled? Hoping I can iron it out.

Hand Mongo WIP
Been working on embroidering Mongo on the back of my denim jacket!
I’m using art from the Czech cover by u/ArleiG. (I’ve attached their images and a mockup of what the whole piece will look like. Donut will have her magic missiles and on the last pic my printer ran out of ink but I printed anyway to see how it would fit!)
I wanted DCC merch that fit me and my personality so I decided to make my own I could proudly wear! Still figuring out what to do on the front, but I’ll have plenty of time to decide!
This is my third hand-embroidery project ever 😊

Hand First time making hats
Definitely a challenge! Just learning how to place the hoop was hard. Made a Jackalope for my wife as it’s her spirit animal and made myself a brain for my Left Temporal Lobe Epilepsy (Floppy Fish being my online name in some places and a visual representation of my seizures :) )

Question Looking for lamps
I recently decapitated my magnifying floor lamp and I'm looking for a replacement. This is the one I'm considering.
Before I spend 200 on a lamp I was wondering if anyone else had bought it and if it was worth it? I'm also open to suggestions if anyone has ideas.
Thanks in advance guys!

Hand Trying silver leaf on fabric
Metallic and polyester thread on batik, my own design. I used paste and let dry until tacky, then brushed the leaf on.
