I’m currently living in Buffalo, NY, and have been seriously considering moving to Baxter Village in Fort Mill. I’ve been researching the neighborhood and came across this Instagram story about a potential Bravo show that apparently got scrapped. I’ve heard a few things about Baxter having a bit of a “mean girl” attitude and being cliquey, but the swinger reputation is definitely news to me, lol. Is there actually any truth to this, or is it just neighborhood gossip?

Also, low-key curious who this unofficial “mayor” of Baxter is that they’re talking about. Does anyone who lives there have an idea who they’re referring to or who might have been involved? I’m not concerned about what people do in their private lives, but the whole situation makes me wonder how much drama and social politics go on in the neighborhood. Is Baxter actually welcoming to newcomers, or should I be concerned about moving there?

My family and I are considering a move to fort mill. We are in our early 40s with a 5 and 3 year old. We currently live in Tampa and are looking for a very family friendly community where our kids can walk/bike most places with a lot of other kids their age. Can someone please explain why so many people in Tega Cay feel the need to run and/or walk in the road in communities where there are perfectly good sidewalks?? I see this on a daily basis and it just seems dangerous and unnecessary.
