If your argument is that it doesn't matter who gets entrusted with that power, then you have zero right to complain about anything they do for the remainder of their term.

Question for any current or previous FCPS subs (or anyone with insight). How many days a week can I expect to have work? I’m applying to get a certificate leading into licensure next year but am looking to sub in the meantime. Mostly wondering if I should get a part time job in addition to it. I’m pretty flexible with traveling for the most part, willing to drive.

If I can make it work full time, I’d rather do that, but again I’m open to getting a second job.

Any advice or help is greatly appreciated!

I'm a long time collector and recently have been collecting box sets of old shows and movies. Stuff that was on early cartoon network or late night adult swim (the anime hours), like power puff girls, dragon ball z, avatar the last air bender etc. Or, just film buffs in general as i've been binging classic horror films recently. I'm hoping to maybe chat for a little on here, discord, instagram and maybe make a group and watch some of my DVDs together at the downtown library using my laptop. Maybe build a routine of it, as all my friends live a long distance id like to build a local friend group, i'm 20 so ages around 19-26? Please DM me if anyone has any interest! Just a heads up there is a lady outside of the Trinity Recreational Center asking people if they want the local school board info while handing out orange ballots. Seems a bit disingenuous to sound a bit bipartisan while handing out stuff for the one side. Hopefully everyone shows up informed prior to showing up.

I’m currently looking into reports of possible U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) activity in downtown Frederick this morning, Tuesday, Oct. 27.
An earlier post in this subreddit described approximately eight individuals near West Third Street and College Avenue, including two reportedly wearing ICE insignia.
I’ve reached out to ICE, the Department of Homeland Security, the city of Frederick and the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office to gather more information. So far, the reported activity has not been independently confirmed.
I’m hoping to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the activity firsthand or has additional information.
Specifically, I’m interested in hearing from anyone who:
Saw federal agents or vehicles in the area this morning.
Witnessed any interactions between agents and residents.
Has photographs, videos or security camera footage of the reported activity.
Can provide an approximate time or more precise location of the sighting.

I voted today and after I put my sticker on in my car (about 15 after actually voting) I started to get a severe allergic reaction symptoms unlike any other I’ve had. I have seasonal allergies but this was immediate and severe. My eyes were so itchy then the inside of my ears and throat almost immediately after. I started coughing and it felt like I had bronchitis with the burning sensation in my chest it continued to get worse my eye swelling and turning bright red. The eye that was the worst was on the side of my shirt where I put the sticker. I took the sticker off and put it back on the paper and put it in my glove compartment shortly after my symptoms started to go away. Eye is still very red and swollen. The only thing that changed was putting that sticker on.
