Knee high chop 1 yr later

Post image

I cut this to just below the knee last winter. This spring before buds broke I pruned to 3 "sad twigs" asy husband called them.

Now just before the Y2 winter/fall prune it is 6/7 ft tall and many varied branches. I thought I would share this in process pruning for height management since so many people can be afraid to prune that aggressively.

About 10-15 apple trees need love

There’s a handful of apple trees that are on the family property and over the last few years they have had smaller and smaller harvests. I imagine you can see they need to be taken back, but I’m unsure with how these grew, what the best way to do it is. They’re all probably 30 ft tall with tall bases. Any tips would be much appreciated!

See how the three stems look top heavy? Should I prune it at those skinny points? Bought this blood orange from HD for $10 because it was struggling (no leaves), but I repotted it and just left in shade. It came in a 4” x12” sleeve. SoCal 10a.

To prune or not prune, is the question? 🍋‍🟩

Location: East Central Florida
Grown from seed, planted in the ground, about 3.5 years old and 32 inches tall.
It flowered last fall/winter but never produced any limes. It also suffered some cold damage last winter. All of the roots and branches sprouting out grew post old damage

Should I prune it or just let it grow?

What's this on my apple tree?

I've never seen anything like this and I'm wondering if I should do something about them. There are several more patches like this. Thanks in advance.

Usually a cross between Japanese plums (Chinese origin) and apricots, Prunus salicina and Prunus armeniaca , so when trying to ID a plum this is something to bare in mind.

Passionfruit Help

I'm concerned my passionfruit vine is done for :'( . First 3 pictures are said vine, last picture is small passionfruit I planted last year about 2-3 metres away from it that had new growth on it. I gave it a good trim a Any advice would be much appreciated! (I know, I haven't done a great job of giving it support to climb)

No idea how old it is, moved into this house 2 years ago and it was very much established then. I did give it a good prune about 6 weeks ago when the weather was getting warmer but we've had a few cold nights since so I hope that hasn't contributed to it not doing great.

Thanks for your help! 😊

Grafting Mulberry tree

I am in Austin TX, and I have 3 Mulberry trees in my yard. 2 are fruiting (black small, and black long), and 1 is non-fruiting. All are mature trees(and almost 30 feet away from the foundation of the house).

This winter I plan to prune them just like every year, but I was wondering if I can graft the fruiting tree branches on the non-fruiting one?
Is yes, what is the best time to do that, and is there a specific technique I need to follow?

Picture for reference

Thanks in advance!

Are these new fruit trees planted too deep? Too much mulch?

I've heard it's not a great idea to do this while the tree is fruiting.

My sitaphal (custard apple/sugar apple) tree has grown split like this. Should i chop off one half of the tree? Will that kill it ? Or its okay to let it grow as is?
