For the past 3 or 4 days, images I've been trying to generate haven't been coming out right. Before, I would type in my prompt detailing my scenario, I'd tap the button and it would go through the standard process of generating an image, the words "Creating image..." would appear beneath the prompt, and the glowing square underneath it all where the image would pop up when it's done. After tapping the button it would start creating the image 1 to 2 seconds after tapping the button. And when it was done, the image would appear exactly as I'd written the prompt, or 98% close to it. It was running like clockwork for weeks, popping out beautiful images.

Now, as of 3 or 4 days ago, I type in the prompt and tap the button, it takes about 10 seconds before it starts generating. It no longer says "Creating image...", occasionally it'll say something like "Preparing to generate a [insert image details here] image". The glowing square no longer shows up below, and when the image is done the result comes out very stiff, doesn't follow the prompt instructions very well, or creates something completely different than requested. I've even tried adding attachments of OCs i've generated images of to help guide the generator with their appearance and having them doing something in a specific scenario, and the final image comes out stiff, and the character isn't doing what the prompt instructed, looking just like the attachment that was added to the prompt.

Short version, I think something is wrong with nano banana as it's not behaving as it did about 4 days ago, it's basically generating crap images that often is nothing like what was requested. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it only me? I'm frustrated.

I'm curious how it looks from where Gemini users sit. If Gemini is one of several assistants or agents you use, which part costs you the most: switching between them, re-explaining context, or checking output? And what is one habit that keeps it manageable? A one-line answer is plenty.

I was running argon at medium setting, exhausted 5hr lim in i think around 5 prompts. no coding involved, just web search and stuff. also the way this model responds seems idk a bit different than 3.1 pro, and takes waaaaayyy too long to respond

If you go to Google Takeout to back up your Gemini chats, the obvious thing is to tick the box called "Gemini". That box exports your Gems data. Your chats aren't in it.

According to Google's own help page ("Download your Gemini Apps data"), the chats are somewhere else:

1. Go to takeout.google.com, signed in with the account you use for Gemini.
2. Click Deselect all. Everything is selected by default, so if you skip this you'll export your whole Google account.
3. Tick "My Activity".
4. Click "All activity data included", then Deselect all in the pop-up.
5. Tick "Gemini Apps" and click OK.
6. If you want your Gems as well, also tick "Gemini".
7. Click Next step, pick how you want it delivered and the file type, and create the export.

A few other things the page says:

• It can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days, though most people get the link the same day. If you're in Advanced Protection, the archive is scheduled two days out.
• Downloading doesn't delete anything from Google's servers.
• Anything you change between requesting the export and the archive being built might not be in it.

And two it doesn't spell out. This exports your Gemini Apps Activity, so chats from a time when Keep Activity was off were never saved there, and Takeout has nothing to give you. And it's all or nothing: there's no way to pick one chat.

When I want a single chat, or the handful from one project, I export straight from the chat instead. I build AI Toolbox, an extension that exports Gemini chats, and it does ChatGPT, Claude and Grok too. The free version exports one chat at a time as TXT. Markdown, PDF, JSON and exporting many chats at once are Premium.

Did anyone else tick "Gemini" first and end up with a file that only had their Gems?

Made a lighthearted post the other day about all my credits 'Argon'. Redditor tells me use agy dummy. I just did this install and didn't have access, I heard I might so I checked and I still didn't, must have been the 13th or 14th. So I figure out I have (since the 15th) access and install it.

I get in there and start botsplaining the project, and tell it the credits argon schtick, and offer Claude and GPT as backup dancers. Response? Lemme school you on sub agents son.

It was actually Claude that taught me it was okay to talk to the AI in the CLI like you were talking to a regular bot.

Why is this feature, which is even available in Google AI Mode, still not coming to Gemini?

I want to be able to quote a specific part of a text and ask a question about it, but currently, I’m forced to manually add quotation marks and copy-paste the text just to ask my question.

I don't generate images I only study my lesson and even in 1-2 prompts on argon and 5-6 prompts on flash my limit exceeds I don't understand the point of paying for ai then. I am considering of using DeepSeek etc , I only need ai when my exams comes and on that period it says you exceed limits. Are you having similar situations?

I use different systems, gemini is avoiding the netsearch and referencing my emails so hard, it is so much halluzinating that it is unusable for me.

I do not care if some benchmark is better than ....(Whatever) If it lies to me and when i cirrect it it says "oh yes you are correct i did ...... and i chsnge this"

and does the same 10 minutes later again.

Edit: Just to clarify, the prompt in the screenshot was done using voice-to-text, not a typed text prompt! That is why the English phrasing looks a bit messy.

The AI completely missed the context of the question because of the dictation style and just threw out that generic Spotify app error.

I have S25 Ultra phone

When holding power button and asking something Gemini stopped answering with voice and now if I need to hear what it answered I need to push speaker button in menu.

If I open Gemini on fullscreen there's also no mic button anymore only live chat

Is there a fix for that? I've tried stopping app and rebooting phone but it don't change it.

I did not find any dedicated settings for enabling voice

Just 4 prompts with argon (1 light and 3 heavy) drained my 70% of 5 hours PRO LIMIT.

And the Flash3.8 is so dumb now, on light and medium.

I can see the argument for both. Antigravity is clearly better when code is involved. But in Gemini Task the workflow of generating images for design idea (via nanobanana), then iterate on those before moving to 3d design just feels mores seamless.

I am relatively new to 3D printing overall, but have been using Antigravity for my coding tasks for a long time now, so I have a natural bias toward Antigravity. Curious to understand what is the better tool for the job here. Thanks!

I think Google should consider replacing Gemini 3.1 Pro with a Gemini 3.5 Pro(if it is real).

The current model lineup could be structured like this:

Gemini 3.5 Lite— fast, lightweight tasks

Gemini 3.8 Flash— everyday use with stronger reasoning

Gemini 3.5 Pro — advanced reasoning for complex tasks without jumping straight to the most expensive model

Argon — maximum reasoning capability for the hardest problems

My main concern is usage efficiency. If Argon consumes around 28% of the available usage per prompt, using it for every difficult question simply isn't sustainable.

There should be a model between Flash and Argon that offers stronger reasoning than Flash while being significantly more economical to use than Argon.

That's where a hypothetical Gemini 3.5 Pro would fit.

Instead of this:

3.5 Lite → 3.8 Flash → 3.1 Pro → Argon

I'd prefer this:

3.5 Lite → 3.8 Flash → 3.5 Pro → Argon

The idea isn't that 3.5 Pro should outperform Argon. It should provide a sensible middle ground: enough reasoning capability for coding, complex analysis, and multi-step tasks, without consuming such a large portion of the usage allowance.

I'm a heavy to ultra heavy user. From waking up to before bed, i use it all day for everything. My day start with asking gemini "good morning", then I will ask it how it is doing, what are the next updates , how to overcome this or that etc .

After getting gemini pro for free, i ain't letting it sit idle. I'm searching every way possible to hit the daily quota to the maximum limit. I must research topics in detail I'm curious about, I most paste the response and save it in a note taking app just incase the subscription ends for me and I can't afford in future.

Gemini has make me forget any other app exists. Watching a video feels like a waste of time when I can get immediate answer from gemini. I do not talk to people, I talk with gemini. I have personalised it in a way it must reply as an understanding honest buddy matching my tone.

From a week I have used it so much that i can't sleep peacefully. Every conversation with it reply in my head. I wake up with a leftover question from my dream to solve it the moment after I wake up on gemini.

Any hardcore user with similar experience ?
