So I bought one recently and unfortunately I don't have an airbrush but just a normal brush. How can I use it more efficiently? Do I just dip my paintbrush directly or do I need other materials to use it to apply it better?

Hey everyone, this is my first post here and I'm looking for some opinions/advice/suggestions.

I started making the Gundam kits this year and after making a mix of 10 SD, EG and a couple of HG I have done my first try at panel lining. I tried 2 Gundam Panel Liner pens, GM20 250 and GM01 250 and I think the GM01 works better for me.

I'm sure it will get more neat the better I get, but wanted people's opinions on if I've gone too far with the amount I've done or if this a good amount to do?

I was also wondering what people think about using the grey markers? From pictures I've seen the grey looks great.

Final question (sorry if this is a bit much), I'm about to do a SEED Strike Noir and there are no white parts. Would I line the grey pieces?

I bought it just because I felt like GQuuuuuux and GFreD needed a proper boss fight.

Took the plunge after seeing this on sale at 5 USD (Asia) and boy does this beef up the MGSD Wing Zero!

I have a GFFMC K.O Wing Zero Noble Color ver and Daban Snow White Prelude but this MGSD Drei Zwerg knocks both out of the water in terms of stability. The Drei Zwerg Racks are easily held up by the included base with no issues whatsoever and the Stand has some nice details on its own.

Bit on the small side maybe?

I've just built HG Barbatos and i'm considering cutting the union of the front skirt in half for them to move separately. Is it gonna bring structural problems to the union?

Update: Both Barbatos and Aerial front skirts balls have been cut

lost the right horn on the black Schwarzette and replaced it with a cutout from the black runner, tried to make it as close as possible but I could only do so much with a hobby knife.

Painted this bootleg Nobel Gundam in the Theme of Sailor Pluto for my wife. Still need to paint the makeup brush/stuff.

I’m looking for recommendations for metallic markers that work well on third-party model kits like SNAA and other kits that use a lot of ABS plastic.

I’m particularly interested in metallic colours such as red, gold, green, silver, bronze, and copper, preferably with a nice, shiny metallic finish rather than something that just looks like regular paint.

I’ve looked into Gundam Markers and a few other brands, but I’ve heard that some markers can damage ABS plastic, so I’m a little hesitant.

A few questions:

Which brands or specific markers would you recommend for ABS plastic?

Are there any metallic markers that are confirmed to be safe on ABS without causing cracking or brittleness?

Which ones give the best metallic finish, especially for red and gold?

Are water-based acrylic markers a better option?
Do they require a primer or topcoat, or can they be applied directly to the plastic?

I’m mainly looking to highlight smaller details and parts, rather than paint entire kits. I’d also prefer markers over an airbrush setup.

Would love to hear what you’ve personally used, especially on SNAA or similar third-party kits. Photos of the results would be really appreciated!

So I paint it with a Night Lords scheme,honestly its super fun to pose.

I was looking through some waterdecals and came across some Earth Federation decals with separate ones for EFSF and EFF and had a realization…

I'm not one to be too bothered by something like this, but I've never had to strip a part before and I kinda want to, and since I have the more general EFF decal to replace it with anyway, I have a reason too.

Kit is MG Gundam Ground Type, EFSF decal is one of the included dry transfers.
