Just an important reminder. I know Zeus and especially Guma were part of the beloved ZOFGK roster and so they gained a very supportive fanbase but the way that other thread turned it into a parasocial hate thread towards T1/Keria is really embarrassing.

If you guys wanna be better than the supposed haters you lambaste, then show your support for HLE - cheer for them, stay motivated and tune in to their games. Otherwise re-think your motivation - are you supporting HLE because you like the new team that came together, or are you only here because you want to hatewatch?

This policy is being clarified following a recent incident involving a protest truck directed at HLE staff.

Under this post feel free to discuss the theme of "protest trucks" but don't share images or the messages of those.

Filter: Adult content promoters

Description: Filter content from accounts that are primarily for promoting adult content.

• New post flair for user original content has been added. This flair is for the user posting to mark it as their own original content, for content like art, photos, videos, etc. The original content must respect all the rules, especially to be HLE related. Titled as follows:

• The ban duration system has been detailed in a text widget on the sidebar of the subreddit. The system is as follows:

Ban durations follow an escalating system: 1st offense is 3 days, followed by 7 days, then doubling for subsequent offenses. If a user does not receive any further bans for 3 months, their ban level resets back to 3 days. Very obvious troll accounts and particularly hateful users will be permanently banned. Violations of Rule 3 directed at moderators, especially in Mod Mail, will result in a permanent ban.

• The numbering of some rules has been changed around, just for organization sake.

• Rule 3 has been adjusted as follows:

Rule 3: Be respectful and civil.

Reported as: Harassment, personal attacks, hate speech, witch-hunting, brigading, doxxing, hostility, or uncivil.

Description: No harassment, personal attacks, hate speech, witch-hunting, brigading, doxxing, hostility, or uncivil behavior. Do not direct users to attack other teams, players, or communities. Do not share private information about users, players, staff, or organizations. Criticism is allowed as long as it respects this and other rules.

• Rule 5 has been adjusted to account for low-effort doomposting, as follows:

Rule 5: No spam, low-effort doomposting, rage-baiting or self-promotion.

Reported as: Spam, low-effort doomposting, rage-baiting or self-promotion.

Description: Avoid low-effort posts, low-effort doomposting, repeated content, rage-baiting, referral links, or self-promotion.

• Rule 7 has been adjusted as follows:

Rule 7: Spoiler-tag match results and do not include spoilers in titles for 48 hours after the match/series.

Reported as: Non-spoiler-tagged match results or spoilers in the title before 48 hours after the match/series.

Description: Use Reddit’s spoiler formatting when discussing ongoing or recent matches. Do not put match outcomes in post titles. Do not spoil or hint at match or series results before 48 hours have passed, including posting with non-neutral titles about newly qualified for competitions.

• A new rule against hostility and toxicity between fandoms has been created, as follows:

Rule 4: No hostile fandom wars, toxic rivalry, fanbase baiting or incitement.

Reported as: Hostile fandom wars, toxic rivalry, fanbase baiting or incitement.

Description: Provoking, encouraging, or escalating hostility between fanbases is not allowed. This includes inflammatory comparisons or generalizations about fans or teams. Constructive discussion, criticism, or friendly banter, are allowed as long as it respects this and other rules.

• A new rule about creation of live posts has been added, as follows:

Rule 9: Live posts are reserved for moderation creation only.

Reported as: Attempted to create a live post.

Description: Regular users are not allowed to create any kind of live posts. Live posts require moderator permissions to be properly set up.

1. Hi, first of all, I want to congratulate the community for crossing 1k members and for nearly reaching 100k views, which will most likely be crossed today!

2. For now, the community is still small enough that I can moderate it myself, so I’ve been procrastinating adding another moderator. However, I do have someone in mind with moderation experience, and I will contact them soon.

3. It’s really hard to keep up with all the comments in all the posts. The best way to ensure people are punished if they break any rules is for you to report them when you think they might be doing so. Reports help a lot. Please report any comment you think might break the rules.

4. This week, I will be configuring AutoMod and other automatic moderation tools to help with point 3.

5. People are allowed to criticize and hold negative opinions about someone — yes, even a player or coach — as long as it doesn’t break Rule 2 of the subreddit, about being respectful and civil.

6. Lastly, I’m looking for your feedback about possible things the subreddit might be lacking, especially regarding post flairs. What post flairs do you think we are lacking at the moment?

Hello,

I've made some changes to the subreddit settings.

1. The following automatic moderation systems have been enabled on their moderate, more precise settings: Ban evasion filter, Crowd Control, Reputation filter, and Harassment filter. If you believe you have been affected by a false positive, please message the moderation team. These settings will help prevent obvious ban evasion, rage-baiting, spam, and harassment.

2. A 7-day account age requirement has been added as a filter to AutoModerator. Only users with an account age of 7 days or more will be able to post or comment. This will further help prevent the potential issues mentioned above. Other AutoModerator configurations to prevent many kinds of rules abuse will be implemented in the coming days.

3. A few rules have been tweaked, and a new subreddit rule has been added. No speculation as fact or argument. When discussing players, staff, or anyone associated with the team, do not present speculation as fact or use it as a basis for arguments. Speculation is allowed if clearly labeled as opinion or a rumour, and nothing else.

4. New post flairs have been added: "Public Service Announcement" and "Question".

5. User flairs have now been enabled. You may choose a flair representing any combination of your favorite current players. Additional user flairs may be added in the future.

6. The CSS, especially to adjust font size, and the color of both post and user flairs will be updated in the coming days.

7. A detailed explanation of ban lengths and other consequences for breaking the rules will be provided in the coming days.

8. A new moderator has been added to the subreddit. Additionally, we are in discussions with another potential moderator who may be invited in the near future.

We encourage you to leave any feedback or suggestions as a comment.

Or we can just populate both. Either works I guess.

My argument for why this is the better sub is just the format of the name. T1's sub is r/SKTT1 so HLE's sub should also be simpler in name. r/HLE is easy to type, easy to find.

Anyway, hoping to see the Guma HLE confirmation announcement soon. \o/

EDIT TO ADD: I think this one would show up more in search results since the majority of fans would type HLE in search rather than the entire org name lol. Which, in theory, would lead to faster community growth.

Hi, I'm going to try to set up basic rules and configurations (probably inspired by other esports subreddits) so we can have a respectable community over here.

Meanwhile I encourage you to post any relevant news or topics about the team.
