In October 2026, police in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, arrested a man named Junaid in the Gangoh area following a complaint filed by his wife regarding alleged identity concealment and forced religious conversion. A woman from Meerut filed a written complaint stating that Junaid (son of Iqbal) married her after hiding his true identity and posing as a Hindu Gurjar. After the marriage, Junaid and his family members identified as Sanjida (wife of Iqbal) and Ishtkar (son of Iqbal) from Khairsaal village reportedly pressured her to offer Namaz and convert her religion. The complainant alleged she faced physical assault and death threats when she resisted. On October 22, 2026, the Gangoh police registered an FIR under the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Act (Sections 3/5(1)). On October 23, 2026, the main accused, Junaid, was apprehended from Khairsaal village based on a tip-off and subsequently presented before a court, which sent him to judicial custody.

"Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them."

US government can do anything they want. Starshield is a system made by starlink that runs on starlink satellite for USA as global surveillance and eliminate the targets.

If starlink comes to India, they will ruin this country.

The owner's name is Mohammad Sajid Ibrahim Mulla (51), who operated Shri Shantinath Medical Store in the Gopipura locality, Surat. He had been running the store for about 20 years, using his daughter's pharmacist licence (she had recently completed a B.Pharm degree). Police estimate he sold around 1,000 bottles of the repackaged product over the past year at double the legitimate price.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Elon Musk personally ordered a slowdown of the satellite service Ukraine relies on for military drone operations, amid escalating tensions between Trump & Kyiv.

The restrictions began on 14 Oct & capped connection speeds for Ukrainian military hardware making some attack drones & interceptor drones virtually useless.

I think the WSJ report provides a useful context through which to examine Musk’s recent public campaign over Starlink’s entry into India.

A company providing critical communications infrastructure has commercial interests but its decisions can also affect public safety, national security & strategic autonomy. Ukraine illustrates why govt should be concerned about relying heavily on a service controlled by one private individual.

India has proper reasons to scrutinise security, operational control & continuity of service while applying its rules fairly to all providers.
