Spoiler content moving forward in /r/IndianaJones
As we approach the release of the newest installment of the Indiana Jones film series we will have to make some adjustments to the spoiler and leak policy in this subreddit.
The general idea being that we will adopt similar policies to /r/StarWars and /r/StarWarsLeaks or /r/Marvel and /r/MarvelStudioSpoilers. This subreddit, /r/IndianaJones will more or less be a safe haven from getting the movie, video games, and potential future media (books, tv series, etc) spoiled.
Feel free to continue posting officially released content like trailers, tv spots and official announcements in this subreddit. But items like smuggled set pictures and leaked plot info not released through official channels will not be allowed.
You may be asking "why do this now, it isn't much of a problem today?". The issue being that we want to work on this redirection now before it does become an issue. Today we are aware of an upcoming film and a video game. But tomorrow Lucasfilm may announce a new book series or ongoing comic. Or potentially even (fingers crossed) a new tv series. At that point we will really need to differentiate the spoiler and non-spoiler content.
There are already a few new and fledgling subreddits in place to help with this and I encourage all of you to join one or all of them and help to grow the community.
r/IndianaJonesLeaks - This is intended to be very similar to StarWarsLeaks and MarvelStudioSpoilers, but focused on Indy. All set pictures, plot details, rumors and spoilers need to go in a subreddit like this.
r/LucasLeaks and r/LucasfilmLeaks - Created with a similar purpose to IndianaJonesLeaks, but for all Lucasfilm properties, to include Star Wars, Indy and Willow.
Or if you and some friends would like to start your own subreddit for that content and it takes off, we would be happy to link to it as well. All we want is for the spoiler content to have a successful place for sharing and discussion.
Change isn't always fun but we hope that you understand where this decision is coming from and rather than pushing spoilers onto our fellow community members we can instead allow everyone the choice of what they would like to see.
Thanks for understanding and we look forward to all of the exciting content to come!

Birthday gift from my wife
One of the few birthday gifts my wife gave me today. Hopefully it’s good. Either way it’s Indy and zombies so it’s gotta be at least a little fun. Perfect time of the year to read it too.

Indiana Jones merchandise+displays I saw at the American Treasure Tour Museum in Oaks, Pennsylvania
For some reason Kenner Toht is included within their horror figure display rather than in the diorama featuring the other Indy action figures xD but I noticed him immediately! He also didn’t photograph well so I got several of that. They also have a huge replica Ark and a Temple of Doom poster
They do not advertise the Indy stuff online if I recall correctly, I actually came to this place because it intersects with another interest of mine, they have vintage Chuck E. Cheese animatronics on display, but seeing Indy merch featured in this place was an unexpected delight! I recommend this place if you like seeing vintage movie memorabilia, merchandise, and old curiosities and Knick knacks! And much much more. These are the only Indy related things I saw there but it was so worth it!

Made my own Grail Diary
This all started as a project to update one of those cheap replica diaries that can be found online (via Amazon, AliExpress, etc.). I originally wanted to just weather the diary pages, maybe replace the faux leather cover with a real one, and improve some of the inserts. I ended up improving the cheap replica well enough so my son could use it for his Indy Halloween costume. But ultimately, I wanted to make a better replica.
After finding an Etsy source for Grail Diary pages as printable signatures, I printed and trimmed all of the pages and weathered them with coffee. I did some very rudimentary book binding to prepare all of the signatures, glued the spine, then hand-made a leather cover.
I think the key to really selling this is with the inserts. Using different types of paper to make the inserts goes a long way. I several different types of paper, including mulberry paper (for the money), newsprint, linen paper, card stock (for photos) etc. I was happy to find that my printer could handle even flimsy newsprint.
I've spent a couple of hours last night aging the cover, and hopefully I'm not going overboard with it.

I love some of the not-well-thought out parts of this game. Any other game would replace Gina with Pailin or a random villager for the period she’s kidnapped. Not this one!

Recommend a notebook of similar type as the Grail diary?
I'm not looking for a replica Grail diary, just a softcover notebook of the similar size and shape. The cover can be faux or real leather, with blank pages. I'd also prefer a blank cover without "Notes" or words on it.
Eyeballing the prop diary's dimensions, they're about 4 x 7 inches, I think.
I haven't found a softcover journal with those dimensions with a plain book cover. Most of them have cover flaps, string ties, or locks.
TIA

My Indy-inspired tomb adventure has grown since release, and Under a Desert Sun is now 30% off
Hey everyone, Raymond here, the developer of Under a Desert Sun: Seekers of the Cursed Vessel. Indiana Jones is a big part of why I wanted to make this. That feeling of heading into a tomb, knowing perfectly well it is a terrible idea, and going anyway.
Since releasing in Early Access I've been working away on fixes, improvements and additions. The loot update is live with 42 new items and three extra equipment slots. There's also a new pyramid entrance, a dungeon return portal and lighting improvements. I'm trying to make this adventure better with every update, and feedback from players has been a huge help.
It's currently 30% off on Steam until 31 October. If you've seen my earlier posts and were curious, there's a free demo as well. This is my own adventure, with cursed WWII-era Egypt, undead and an Adventurer who probably should have stayed home. Here's the full trailer.

Raiders Fedora Proportion
I'm in the market to get a raiders fedora and after showing it to my wife she made a comment that the hat is rather tall. For those who have bought one from advintage have you noticed it looking odd on yourself? Does the hat look a bit funny if you are on the shorter end at around 5'7? The wife does not want to be seen with me in public wearing this hat because of how ridiculous she says the proportions look.

I’m turning 45 — the age Harrison Ford was before he shot The Last Crusade. I’ve decided to go all in the cosplay hobby.
I’m starting with a used Wested raiders jacket, Alden 405’s, What Price Glory repro satchel, and a hodgepodge of found items. My hat is a 1989 promotional last Crusade fedora a friend who works at ILM gave to me years ago. As much as I like it as a collectible, I wanna get a real hat. Any tips or pointers from the hardcores and casuals? honestly, the biggest thing I feel I need to do is work out!

Idol with mechanical eyes
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Golden Fertility Idol I’ve been working on these past couple years. I 3D modeled this based off of the “Hero” version with glass eyes made from fiberglass seen at the beginning of Raiders. I made this one on my resin printer and hand painted with a gold-tinted clear coat for the mirror gold look.
I 3D modeled a bracket to hold the micro controller board, on/off switch, RC module for remote control operation, and the servo and all of the electronic components are powered by a 9 volt battery. The sweeping eye motion is a script I programmed in the microcontroller to mimic the idol’s eyes as it follows Indy’s movements as he avoids the floor traps. Very happy with how this turned out

I'm testing out levels from The Emperor's Tomb, trying to be a pacifist
So far i've done every level in Ceylon and Prague
for the most part they were both able to be done without hurting/killing any enemies except for:
(in Ceylon) the three ivory hunters in the ruins with the three high pillars that you jump across
all three enemies must be defeated in order for the stone door to slide open
(in prague) the final boss which has to be defeated in order to move onto instanbul
I'm currently working on instanbul, so far the first three turkish guards must be defeated in order for the gate to open, after that the turkish guards with machine guns can be passed without hurting/killing them but it can be difficult

Artifact that I hope Indy never finds.
Lament configuration/box of LeMarchand from Hellraiser franchise. I feel like Indy would not have a goodtime with the cenobites.

Gary Cooper, 1943
Cooper plays the Robert Jordan in the 1943 movie adaptation of the Hemingway fictionalised Spanish civil war romantic drama For Whom the Bell Tolls.A great book turned into an OK movie. Hemingway was delighted with Cooper but disappointed with the Hollywood treatment of his work.

Many generals in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle...
I am very interested in history and especially 20th century history. And while playing Indiana Jones and the Great Circle it just crossed my mind how many generals they seemed to have sent to this particular expedition in Gizeh, Egypt... I have counted at least ten walking around by themselves or in the camps. I guess they had a bunch of generals to spare, apparently.
I actually don't like how they portray the officers who can raise alarms. Indy calls him "captain", just like in Rome, but this is far from anything of a captain.
A general in pseudo-parade gear out in the scorching desert?! And the Knight's Crosses the generals have didn't even exist in 1937.
A fantastic game, but this is very historically inaccurate!
