Houseplant Close Up Bougainvillea really has a long blooming season.
I bought these bougainvilleas last year and have been caring for them indoors ever since. They’ve bloomed three times this past year—what a pleasant surprise!

Plant Discussion Large basil plant - can I bring inside?
I have this large basil plant that I have been growing outside all summer, I was wondering if I could repot it and bring it inside?
As you can see, it has thick wood bases, but it is still flowering and producing basil. Does anyone has any experience with this? any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Plant Discussion Peace lily help
Hi all,
I noticed some leaves on my peace lily were yellowing/browning. Tbh I’ve neglected to check the problem, I presumed it was due to the change in season, lower humidity or natural regrowth.
However I’ve looked today and previously pruned stems seemed to have turned brown where they meet the soil (perhaps I didn’t prune them properly - I’m still new to plant care), and new stems are growing amongst them, and trying to root unsuccessfully (I think the little nubs are new roots trying to sprout?)
I think best plan might be to take it out of the pot, correctly prune all brown stems away, and repot.
Any help or tips to save her would be appreciated!!

Full Room Shot This month's project!
I've been planning this corner for so long and finally everything came together! The plants supports were made from scratch, and the plants in the terracota pots were found very little in the street, the other two in the white pots were store bought. For the future: I think when they all grow a little bit more they will look very beautiful together. I also plan to put more plants in the upper shelf. What do you guys think?

Plant Discussion Anyone tried Strainers as pots?
I follow a guy who went to Japan to study in the biggest bonsai school there is and came back to teach in youtube (Kaeru en), its in spanish. He has a book in english tho.
He teaches that if you plant the small trees in a strainer, the holes make the substrate very oxigenated and the plant grows x4 faster and stronger than if you used a plastic pot. You also remain safe of root rot.
The only downside is that you have to water way more often.
I know monsteras and orchids are usually planted in pots with tons of holes, but they could have way more and be practically a strainer.
I will drill holes in my regular plastic pots of aromatic herbs, like rosemary or basil, that don't like excesive humidity, and see how it goes.
He compares in a video the tree of a student of his. They planted cuttings of the same tree, the same day, 5 years ago. The student used a strainer to plant it and the teacher used a normal pot. This is how different they looked in 5 years.
As you can see, the one planted in the strainer looks way older. It looks 25 years old acording to the teacher, whereas the one in the left looks 5 years old. You can see the diferent thickness of the trees.
If you are curious, the youtube video is called "Bonsai y cultivo en coladores realmente funciona?"
TLDR: Gonna experiment applying Bonsai techniques to grow plants faster

Houseplant Close Up FL Ghost Phil. took forever to open this leaf. This is 1 day later. Is it going to be a "ghost" leaf or will it harden off to green? Can it photosynthesize?
