domanda/question Where in Italy with a car in mid-March?
Hi! We're 2 women travelers going back to Italy for a 7-9 day road trip in March 2027. We will fly in and out of Rome or Milan.
Our dates and itinerary are flexible, though we were thinking of avoiding Easter because of crowds, traffic, and closures. But maybe not?
We've travelled to Rome, Florence, Siena, Cinque Terre, Orvieto, Venice, and the Amalfi Coast. We LOVED all these places (maybe Amalfi Coast less, because it's so sleepy) and would be happy returning.
In a perfect world, we'd love to fly to Milan then drive to Bologna to explore the region (or do we train to Bologna then get a car when ready to move on?). But we know that March weather is cool and can be wet or damp, so we're aiming for sunshine, and this is where our hesitation comes.
Knowing we'll fly into Milan or Rome in mid to late March and that we love a scenic drive with great food and beautiful towns/cities, where would you suggest we go?
Thanks!
