I’m 36 now and have fully embraced wearing a bare face. It’s my new form of freedom, but I’ll always have a special place in my heart for each of these shades.

Does anyone remember some of these shades? NARS had me in a choke hold.

This is the MAC Frost lipstick in 'Designer Blue' that was discontinued in 2017, that I lost at the back of my closet around 7 years ago and didn't find again until yesterday. I'll probably not swatch it on my lips again because they felt a little tingly a few minutes into putting it on but I might use it as highlighter/body glitter if it doesn't break out my skin.

Got my hands on the relaunched Urban Decay Naked palette! Feels so good to have this back in my collection. I’m a neutral lover so boring id the way I float.

Formula wise, it’s supposed to be revamped but I actually think feels similar to the original. The shades are the same texture I remember them being, with some feeling a bit smoother. Excited to try this on my eyes today! 🤩

Other makeup used was Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream shade 21, Tarte Shape Tape 12N, Maybelline Fit Me Powder shade 100, and Lancome Blush Subtil shade Aplum. I took the second and third set of photos after hiking so sorry they're a little more lived in lol.

I also think Revlon Rose Velvet and MAC Creme in Your Coffee are effectively dupes. I prefer the Revlon formula and price.

I don’t have any makeup on except the lipstick so it might look a lil weird, but I’m trying to nail down which shades work for me! I’m SO stuck between the reds especially. I feel like some of the shades look weird without makeup (specifically the Charlotte tilbury) but look fine with makeup. I’d love any recommendations!

I have a cool undertone and have been looking for blushes in a berry shade. My past experiences with Catrice blushes have been phenomenal, so I ordered their Soft Glam Baked Blush in the shade Midnight Berry.
Shame on me for not having done some more extensive research, but I only did some fast googling and found nothing but 10/10 reviews for this blush. Since it’s affordable, I didn‘t dive deeper into it and simply ordered it. Not much to lose, right?

Bruh what the hell 😭 what‘s *Midnight Berry* about this?? This is probably the peachiest blush I own now. To be fair, the color is gorgeous and the color payoff is amazing, so that explains all the good reviews. I still can’t get over how much Catrice catfished me with this 🥀

I do find that while RCMA is definitely Translucent, Kim Chi has a peachy tone to it. Please see the last picture for this.

I did start this while it was sunny but unfortunately as I'm UK based, it hid away before I could get pictures in it 🥲 but I've taken a few in different lighting.

Pic 1&2 - direct studio lighting (bright white LED) 3 - studio lighting but in the shade 4 - non-direct studio lighting 5 - outside lighter area 6 - outside darker area 7 - after about an hour& a half 8 - powders

Excuse my lack of foundation I swatched these colors before bed. I'm really disappointed in makeup brands that cannot accurately depict shade swatches on their site. Both the shades "Adoring" and "Fierce" from the Balm Cosmetic Meet Matte Hues line look absolutely nothing like the swatches even after applying 2-3 coats. While I absolutely love how these feel on my lips I can't justify keeping these as the pigment is really lacking and I HATE these shades. Their return policy states they only offer store credit for lightly opened products but this feels like false advertising to me. I expect liquid lipsticks to be full coverage in 1 to 2 applications without streaking on the darker colors. If you're thinking of buying from this brand just know the photos on their site are nothing like the colors depicted.

I look at the darker ones, and I think “oh, I needed to pick a lighter shade.” But then the lighter shades look absolutely neon yellow on me. WTF am I doing wrong 😩😩😩 these swatches are from all sorts of brands, varying coverages. Some swatches are even concealer like 2 and 4. 7 and 8 are bb and cc creams respectively.

As you can plainly see, I have terrible acne. I need something that can cover it, which would be all the other numbers. But I look like a clown when I do my whole face with that. Like I painted myself the wrong skin tone. But NONE of these look like the right skin tone, and I’ve tried everything from basically the lightest shades to stuff labeled “medium light.” I just don’t understand how all of them look so wrong, and what I’m supposed to do about it!

I’m a fair asian who has a lighter face than neck. I have swatched shades 1, 2, 3 and 4 on my face and neck in natural light (red numbers) and with flash (black numbers).

I wear NARS light reflecting foundation in deauville which seems like a good match, and NARS radiant creamy concealer in vanilla which feels a little light.

I have very very very dry skin and I use the laura mercier hydrating primer (water based) and the charlotte tilbury setting spray on top.

I am unsure of my undertone and overtone but have been told that I could be a cool/neutral autumn (?). I have purple blue veins and what seems to be a yellow overtone due to my asian heritage.

I also ended up buying shade bisque in the hourglass vanish concealer but I am hesitant to try it incase it is too bright!

Product : Too faced kitty glitter in shade “meow”

I’ve been seeing some vintage makeup on here lately, and wanted to see if anyone remembers these? I was in 5th grade or 6th grade when I ordered this online with some money I saved up from my Christmas and birthday. I also remember ordering a StilA convertible push-up stick illuminator that looked like deodorant, a Burjois foundation (us sephora sold it then), a Chanel mascara, a Benefit tint, and a cobalt blue Urban Decay eyeliner!

It looks a little dark compared to my complexion when placed all over my face, but I love the way this foundation (Lancôme Teint Idole Ultrawear Care & Glow) wears and want to find a shade that works! I was previously using the shade closest to my ear (510N) which matches the inner part of my face but is too light for the perimeter. I never wear foundation alone when wearing makeup, so I think as long as the undertone matches, I can make a darker shade work with my concealer, bronzer, and powders. What do you guys think? First pic is under bathroom lighting, second pic is bathroom lights with flash, third pic is lights off (but still daylight) with flash. TYIA!

The first lipstick is the one the store worker recommended to me when I asked for a warm, brick red lipstick. Not sure about the brick red part but it at least looked warm before I swatched on my and whoops it’s a cool toned, pinkish red.

The second lipstick is the last one I tried before I gave up. I had swatched 20+ lipsticks at that point, all with the same problem.
