No one I know really knows what this is, let alone appreciate it. This is the first of two being made, and yes, Samus will be in its hands in her glorious Morph Ball. They're right around 10" tall and a little wider than that. I have no idea what they'll be used for, I just knew I needed to have them. Any suggestions?

Edited to add link for files, and that I posted a new one just in case.

The visor had been pointed out as being similar in Samus Returns (which is arguably more similar than Ravenous), but I was looking through some Dark Samus renders and it reminded me of the pose she struck in the Metroid Suit in Ravenous.

Then I threw the bottom one in for fun.

Not suggesting there's a serious connection, but I think it's interesting to see similarities when both represent "A Metroid in the form of Samus".

Sure, it’s a bit more linear than Prime 3 but after recently playing a bunch of exploration focused games back-to-back. I liked the change of pace! I liked the GF Trooper NPCs (Miles had a few lines that were just ‘meh’ but overall I liked him) and how they interacted with Samus

Gameplay, bosses and OST are all really solid as well
Edit: y’all downvoting because I know how to enjoy a game, reddit moment fr

3 years ago i uploaded and posted a large 300+ gallery of screenshots from Metroid Dread. To celebrate the 5th anniversary of this incredible game, i reuploaded the entire gallery in their full 11k png form (so no compression artifacts, banding, ringing, etc). Like i mentioned in the title, i used a bunch of mods from others along with some i made (armor changes, visual effects removal, etc), Reshade (for things like Anti-aliasing and DOF), and of course ran the game at a really high 11k+ resolution. I absolutely loved playing and screenshotting this game. What a jewel it is.

Hopefully, i can do all this again with Ravenous one day!

There’s a LOT of pixel art in the streets here btw

Edit: it was outside of Pyrénées station!

Maybe someone else posted this comparison here (but like there's probably a zillion posts an hour given the freshness of the announcement so sorry I can't be asked to check every one to see if it's been pointed out lel) but like I have to say this was my FIRST THOUGHT lol

I WILL SAY maybe noones mentioned this angle yet as a fan I was SUPER interested to see who CREATED the unstoppable EMMIs like what that corporation from the Dread intro is. Maybe we'll finally get to learn more about that?? : D

My 9 year old son had a Metroid themed birthday party today. So, his little brother (4 months) and I wore our Super Metroid shirts.

I think it’s still priced $5 more than new, but damn this are going for 80-100 on eBay right now. Really surprised I saw this tonight considering I live in a major US city. Hope Nintendo makes a S2 edition regardless; Excited to finally play this!

Edit: typo

Whelp, we made it - 273 long weeks later, and now we finally have our hands on the impossible: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.

I'll be posting another update soon in the very near future with a link to (or another solution) a set of all the photos for your viewing pleasure. Until then, let's have fun with our new Metroid game, fellow Bounty Hunters!

If anyone has any others requests or questions, please let me know!

A nice surprise to see.

I could imagine Dread one being turned into a comic strip or something lol.

Data is based on revenue earned in the past 3 days.

Seriously though, I was watching dreads ending again and suddenly I thought "Wait why doesn’t she just shoot him?" Is there an obvious explanation that I’m missing?

I think it's for Samus being able to time travel.
