Meme âThis is fine for a starter placeâ - your retiree-age parent referring to the house you bought after ten years saving, which is already in negative equity because of global events. You are 40.
Howâs everyone doing who finally crossed the line in the last 2-3 years to buy a house, literally any house you could afford, in any suburb, anywhere, after being told that it doesnât matter what you pay because prices always go up and you can always move and make a profit?
So this is the winnerâs circle huh.
EDIT: Once again I have to point out that this is a post made by someone who does not live in the USA. Apparently you have to state this because otherwise people just assume you are an American, and cannot use their mental faculties to read something, go âhmm, this is not my exact experience - perhaps they live in another countryâ and just roll with the overall conversation. I apologize for making the Americans reading this be forced to remember that other countries exist. I know it frightens you.

Hearing someone casually say âhow bizarreâ and immediately having to fight the urge to go, âHow bizarre, how bizarreâŚâ
There are certain phrases that just arenât normal words anymore. Theyâre song lyrics permanently burned into my brain.
Whatâs another completely ordinary phrase that instantly triggers a song for you?
