I was wondering if y’all remember an Minecraft animation that used to be on YouTube back in the days, where the plot was the whole « opening a pack of chewing gum in class » thing ?? I remember it took place at the university for some reason, and there was a TV in the classroom showing up an advertising for the same brand of chewing-gum the guy was about to chew before others students came all over him because of the sound of someone’s opening a pack of gums.

Hi there. I run a small Discord community centered around Minecraft, and we're launching a new modded server in a day or two. Looking for people to get in on the ground floor.

A little bit about us:

-Friendly PG-13 community open to all ages who can legally use discord and be mature.

-Modded server has heavy focus on QoL, Exploration, and grinding w/overhauls to The End, Nether, Overworld, and added Sift dimension.

-No p2w/server store/anything like that at all

-Vanilla server might be getting a few QoL features that were voted on by the playerbase (likely homes and treefeller), and is cross-platform compatible w/voice chat.

-We aren't exclusively LGBTQ+, but it seems the majority of our members are and we like the vibe it brings. We're accepting of all and do not tolerate any kind of bigotry.

-No griefing

-PVP by consent only

-Both servers have their chats tied together and to the discord, so communicating across servers is clean and easy.

Vanilla server was something we ran for a special "vanilla weekend" a few months ago, but everyone enjoyed it so much we made it permanent.

Unique progression where you can choose to focus on farming, mining, fishing or gathering. Unlock and upgrade new mines and farms that you place on your island, as well as ponds you can fish from.

Complete bounties and the main quest line to progress and increase your level, talk to different NPCs that give you quests and unlock/purchase items.

Pet system: feed and love your pet to increase its level over time, breeding system to unlock extra perks.

Upgrade your pickaxe and tools through our unique progression system. Use bait to increase your luck while fishing.

A member of the server myself, pureblock was and is my gold standard when thinking about Minecraft servers. We have a decent amount of members, with rules against stealing, griefing, and pvping with CoreProtect installed to let your mind be at ease. We have started hosting regular events, such as a treasure hunt and a manhunt. We have no plugins that alter gameplay in anyway, (ex. A money system) it is all pure vanilla. This is easily one of the most welcoming minecraft communities I have joined, and to this day I still regularly play with all the friends I have made.

26.3) only thing that's changed is that there is no elytra to encourage ditterent types of traversal and road building. You will start out with a horse spawn egg, saddle and leash. Elytra's still spawn in the end and can be traded in for 3 ancient debris instead.

I started this server as a way for people to meet and make friends as i am looking to make more friends. So yeah, it's just an easy going social server. Im not fussed on what client side mods you use just not x-ray.

Recently I got interested in horse breeding mechanics, and I am trying to automate the breeding procedure as much as possible.

It is possible to automatically measure the health of the horse by poisoning him and then using a calibrated skulk to count how much damage the horse receive. While for the speed it is possible to exploit the horse pathfinding. A horse on fire will pathfind the closes water source, and it is possible to esily measure the time needed for the horse to reach it.

Both methods have some levels of imprecision, the horse could regenerate part of its health while being poisoned and it could rear up while running, yet they should have a relatively low probability, and in general automating this measurements could speed up quite a lot the horse breeding procedure.

However, I can't find a way to measure the horse jump height without the player interaction. Does anyone know a way to measure this value? Is there anyway to induce the horse to jump at its maximum jump height without the player interaction?

Any input or idea regarding this is highly appreciated, thanks!

A big part of our work on Most The Mods Season 3 has been giving the pack its own progression. We've made custom Create/Warium recipes and a fully custom quest book and quest line, rather than leaving everything at the mod list.

The pack runs on Minecraft Java 1.21.1 with NeoForge and includes Create, Create Aeronautics, Warium, and Create: Big Cannons. The focus is engineering: making production lines and putting them to use in factory and vehicle projects.

The office is loud with typing and quiet arguments about world gen.

Then someone pulls out a pair of clippers.

DEV 1:

He’s been talking about cutting it for months. Just do it.

DEV 2:

Bro he didn’t say today—

DEV 1:

Hold him.

Notch looks up from his dual monitors.

NOTCH:

Wait. Wait, what are you—

The clippers turn on.

NOTCH:

NO— NO NO NO— GET OFF—

The sound of buzzing fills the room.

Hair starts falling in big blond chunks.

JEB:

(already starting to panic)

Guys… guys stop— what are you doing—?!

DEV 3:

It’s just hair!

NOTCH:

(struggling)

I DIDN’T AGREE TO THIS— LET GO—

The last pass finishes.

Notch’s head is completely smooth.

For one second the office is silent.

Then Notch rips free.

NOTCH:

YOU PSYCHOPATHS—

He sprints.

DEV 2:

He’s running!

Notch hits the tall spiral staircase at full speed.

His socks slip on the metal.

NOTCH:

SHIT—!

He tumbles the entire way down.

The sound is horrible. A long, clattering, painful cascade of limbs hitting every step.

He lands at the bottom in a heap. Unconscious.

JEB:

(screaming)

(his voice cracks into full crying)

Hair is still floating in the air and scattered across the floor.

Then someone kneels.

DEV 4:

DEV 1:

Someone licks a strand.

More people start doing it.

The energy turns feral and stupid at the same time.

JEB:

(full ugly crying now, voice high and broken)

A developer trips while backing away in horror.

He crashes into a desk.

A cup launches into the air.

A single chili pepper flies out in a perfect arc…

…and hits Jeb directly in the eye.

JEB:

(screaming and crying at the same time)

He drops to his knees, one hand over his face, still sobbing.

Across the room, C418 is standing very still.

He slowly pulls out his laptop.

His eyes are distant.

(softly)

…I can use this.

Meanwhile, Dinnerbone has vanished.

DEV 6:

Where’s Dinnerbone?

DEV 2:

He was right here—

They find him thirty seconds later.

He’s upside down.

Asleep.

On the wall.

Like a bat.

Perfectly calm.

DEV 5:

…How is he doing that.

DEV 1:

I don’t care anymore.

At the bottom of the spiral stairs, Notch still isn’t moving.

JEB:

(crying so hard he can barely speak)

Someone… someone call an ambulance… and also HR… and also I think I need a new eye…

The office is just the sound of Jeb sobbing, the quiet wet noise of the last few people still licking hair, and C418’s soft keyboard clicks as he starts a new project file.

Hey, I have a question, although let me tell a story first. When i was 7 years old i watched my older brother play minecraft on version 1.9, after like 20-40 min of playing he stumbled across a dirt hut which was one block wide and a couple blocks long, with a furnace and a torch over it (check images). I'm almost certain my brother hasnt build it, because i watched him the entire time, although it was many years ago so maybe i dont remember, but im pretty sure. My question is: was it some kind of a structure? Or was it my brother just trying to prank me? I do remember that we usually turned on LAN hoping that someone would join not knowing how it works. Prehaps thats the case?
