For those of you that didn’t know, like myself before 10 mins ago, if you level max a card and you never got the team’s Greatness PD card in season 1, you get both the PD and the GO. I leveled up JR Smith and got both Ty Lawson and Cameron Johnson. For that reason alone there’s absolutely no reason to rush level ups. Because if it’s true what’s been said here recently, that better cards level up faster, (I personally don’t have any evidence of this) then in later seasons when we get higher gem cards, it won’t be such a grind and you’ll get all the retroactive cards the seasons before.

For example, this works great for a team like the Hawks where I have not one player I’ve leveled up in any way. If in season 5 I get a high gem Hawks card and level him up, I’ll get 4 Greatness cards in one shot which is great for card collectors. On the contrary, for me to get Landry Shamet this season, I have to level up another Knicks card as I already leveled up OG last season to get John Starks.

This is also great for people who buy the game late as it works like cap breakers in MyCareer where you can get all the breakers from seasons prior when completing level 40 for the first time.

Finished my first 30 game series for Daily Salary Cap Ascension
Took me about 3 hrs of no stress play

Rewards are slightly better than last season with Ruby option replaced with 92 Historic and GO with DM. In addition I believe there are 2x badge option packs now

With the current badge prices may be a decent value for 3hrs of offline playtime

I tried to combine it with 1.5x XP grind by adding Spida (Assists, Rebounds), LaVine (points) and Kittles (XP multiplier) in the squad with remaining 12 being cheapest golds

Managed to get LaVine to Level 3, Spida from 1 to 3 and Scoot to level 1 during these 30 games
Am happy with this result

May try again tomorrow if I find time to finish all 30 as those extra picks matter

Just paid about 460K for a 33 HOF Booker. How much is the difference between highly badged out cards and mid badged out cards these days? Saw on 2KAuctions a few 15 HOF Bookers go for about 330.

Im within striking distance of getting Kareem and would only need to spend about 150k mt...that being said is he really worth it? I feel like his 3 point shot rating holds back the longevity of this card.

Just endured 9 extra wins of Chem CT with people screaming at their mic, pausing, calling timeouts while yelling at their screen to get these great rewards: Gold- Coach, Court and Perfect release…

We need to do better with these rewards.
At least a 500 MT for beating the mode would not break any bank

They put Pixel cuts, DMs and other never to be pulled rewards on that wheel but in the end it is the same worthless quick sell

I did 10+ of these extra spins including previous limited games and have not pulled anything

I have been playing myteam since 2k20 and was always on wifi. Meanwhile, my room is upstairs from the router.

I always thought that the lagging and frozen screens were 2k's fault or my machine is not rigged (start playing online mostly after got series s back when it was "next gen")

Today, I got a new router set including an access point. I set it up and use the ethernet cable to hook it up with my xbox.

Literally, for first time of my thousands of hrs Myteam experience, my unlimited games were not lagging and no more frozen screens for me.

IT WAS LIFE CHANGING.

I don't know what to say at this point. This past friday, I finished the ltm when it first dropped and I had about 50 ish showdown wins and managed to get to lvl 5 in season 1.

Along my journey of 2k, I always thought competitive players like Tydebo were able to conquer the latency and master the game, and I'm just BAD.

Also, for the first time, when I loitering around in the city/triple threat park, my character no longer feels like it has been cursed by Elsa.

Yea, I have wrongly blamed 2k for all those latency causing my switch and defense didn't work out the way I wanted.

It really feels like part of my life has changed, and this change took me 7 titles to realize...

AND my tmac finally can consistently make shots online now, regretting selling my badged booker now💀

EDIT: but I have to relearn how to shoot with some players like Tatum on rhythm.

Shout out to top grinders out there whi get this stuff done. No way I can personally get this done anytime soon. First Greatest I surprisingly made it a little over half way in the the month before the second greatness grind. Partly because of several cards that were already close to leveling up.

Since there’s no way, I’m getting there anyway I’m playing the Long game. I’m going to play under the assumption that 2K does this again and try to put myself into a better starting position for the next one.

— I’m not going to upgrade my players, even if they hit level three unless it’s a player I use heavily that the third upgrade makes a significant difference. (Don’t think that’s the case)
— I’m going to keep sitting on my level skips until I’m ready to fully complete a greatness grind.

Maybe the stars align, 2K does this again in another month and I’m close enough to make a push for the next one if there are some great rewards.

One last tip is that I would avoid using your best cards/cards you use for online to grind off-line mode. For example, I picked up Embid to use online so I will complete his XP naturally. When I play breakout etc I’ll use those cards that I honestly wouldn’t use other wise. I think that should save me some time.

It feels like the computer is the hardest its ever been by far, and I’m a 15+ year vet. Games are slow, slog fests where the computer exploits the fuck out of you at every turn. Even a game of golds vs DMs ends like 15-10 in Clutch Time.

Spent my last 100k after getting Kareem and 2k decided to bless me for my birthday it'll be nice to have mt going into the Halloween event coming up

My main concern is spending MT on a card that’s already a bit outdated, since I believe he was released in the first pack. I’ve saved up around 700k MT from grinding. Is he worth picking up, or would I be better off saving for someone better?

What’s a good pace to be climbing the tiers in showdown? I just started for the first time at the beginning of the season starting at the lowest tier and I’m almost tier 7 right now is it like I have to win a certain amount in a row to progress or is it like if I reach a set amount of wins I progress to the next tier? I haven’t played since unlimited was a thing so showdown is pretty new to me

I just got the game and just started nba 2k27 myteam, what shiuld i focus on doing. Whats my steps to do first and what should i spend time playing ?

I knew i wasn't tripping when I kept claiming that a LOT of these bums relied on the best & most cheesiest cards in the game to play for them. You're especially seeing it on the defensive side of the ball, they have 0 clue to matchup their best defender to the best offensive player, they cant manually rotate players, they cant hedge or switch screens good at all.

On offense, they dont have the slightest clue how to hunt mismatches & take advantage. Keep trying your Pixel vs my Dark Matter defender, but you cant see your Opal is being guarded by my Sapphire?

Sucks when CPU Porzingis & Chet aren't babying you with unstoppable paint defense, huh? Sucks when your T-Mac or Booker is getting shut down because you can't pass it to another cheesy green release rockets/Suns card.

Sim boys know what we're doing, & when 2k cripples the cheese heads like this, we feast!
