Question Why is there so much discrimination in fashion?
It's a common understanding that we're all different. We have different features, personalities, and styles. A color that might look beautiful on one person might not look the same on another.
But why do we judge people based on their skin color, height, appearance, or the way they style their outfits?
A girl wearing that color and styling that outfit might find it the perfect combination. She might feel beautiful and confident in it. So why are we judging her?
From my perspective, I think we're living in an era of filters. On social media, we want everything to look perfect. We see how models style themselves, and we start setting beauty standards based on what we see.
But why do we forget that we're human and we can't be perfect? Our imperfections and incompleteness have their own beauty.
So why do we judge people instead of appreciating them? She took a step to style herself. She made an effort to look beautiful for herself. Isn't that something worth appreciating rather than criticizing?
Sometimes, people pass harsh comments without realizing that what might seem like nothing to them could mean a lot to the person receiving them.
Maybe we don't all have the same taste in fashion, and that's completely fine. But we can still choose to be kind, respect each other's differences, and let people express themselves without making them feel less beautiful.
Has someone ever made you feel judged for the way you dress?
