Experience Bromantane is amzing to get your sh*t together.

Recently I ordered Bromantane, to be honest my only thought process was something that would lift my mood up a bit as I was in a pretty sh*tty situation. Alcohol, cigarettes, hungover every other day, partying, forgetting about gym and throwing my progress away.

One morning I tried just a 50 mg dose, under my tongue and oh boy. I didn’t feel much first two hours then it kicked in, the thought of smoking cigarettes disappeared which was crazy as I’m a pack a day smoker. Then I started cleaning my room, which I never do. I cooked a dinner myself, I always order food as I’m too lazy to prepare it. And I sat down, I didn’t feel that crazy overstimulation just clean mind and good mood. It was like my brain was covered in spider web and dust and someone got in and did a deep cleaning. That day I didn’t smoke a cigarette, 0 thoughts of alcohol as I didn’t need it, my mood was okay without them.

Now it’s 11 PM and I’m laying in bed, happier than ever and wondering how could this happen? Did Bromantane fix something my brain was lacking? Maybe I was depressed? Anyone got an explanation?

Discussion Antidepressants/anxyolitics as effective as SSRIs but without the side effects

Are there antidepressants/anxyolytics (or are we close to creating them) that would relieve anxiety and depression, especially anxiety without the side effects of SSRI's, SNRI's and MAOIs and without the habit-forming properties of benzos and pregabalin. I mean for anxious depression, so not bupropion.

So far what can fit the criteria are tianeptine, ketamine, agomelatine, mirtazapine. Many of these have their own caveats or are innefective for anxiety.

One interesting path is increasing Allopregnanolone, which SSRI antidepressants do as well. If something else could safely increase this neurosteroid, it could be an effective anxyolytic. There's already pure Allopregnanolone medication for postpartum depression

Seeking Advice Help needed - brain fog experienced

Hi all,

In the past year since leaving school I have experienced much more brain fog and often find myself struggling for words in conversations as if my brain can’t process as fast as it used to.

I also have some brain fog occasionally where I forget what I was in the middle of doing (or about to)

Any help is appreciated but I’m looking for a longer term fix rather than something just temporary.

Seeking Advice What should I take if I actually want worse mood, less motivation and more fatigue for a few hours?

It's a silly request, but it would actually really help me. You see, about a month ago, I was dealing with horrible, depressive mood towards the end of the day. The lack of interest in anything, the sadness and the fact that all my thoughts eventually led to hopeless and dark visions of the future, felt pretty bad, but also made it much easier to end my day at a normal hour.

Usually that is very hard for me, at night everything seems much more interesting, and somehow, all the regret over how my lack of sleep destroyed and wasted my day in every way imaginable, completely disappears and not going to sleep feels like the right choice. I understand that that is something that can happen to depressed people.

What could I take that would give me that effect, or something similar, without affecting the rest of my day and that is preferably OTC? I tried some 5-HTP and melatonin, but they were not strong enough.

PS: I know that this all sounds dumb and the best solution is to just convince myself to go to sleep, and I will, of course, keep trying to do that.

Discussion Any experience with IR guanfacine?

The only approved guanfacine med (Intuniv ER) in my country is extremely overpriced and doesn't take insurance (I'm in the EU). I have ADHD and RSD and nothing seems to help the RSD side so I'm willing to try Guan.

I found IR guan online that's 8+ times cheaper but it's unfortunately IR, however it seems that it has the same half-life as ER and can be dosed once daily (correct me I'm wrong).

Has anyone tried it and does it help ADHD/RSD symptoms? Is it worth trying if it's IR and is once a day enough for IR?

Discussion Coluracetam-centered synesthesia stack help?

Hey all,

I am an audhd person who experiences synesthesia, ideasthesia, hyper or prophantasia, whatever you wanna call it. For me, I can see movement and colour and impossible shapes when listening to music or eating, and I can kind of “throw” my perception to any body part. More than anything though, I have an extremely strong sense of distance, timing, and relation. I always know why and where and how I thought something, It’s like just a really vivid internal map that flashes in every direction with perception. I also am a semi professional tennis player, which I mention because in feeling one with my racquet, the way I feel and see every hit and make every microadjustment slashes in a similar way.

I have a real obsession with communication and language and art, I just love expression and creation full stop. My confidence and understanding of myself in this has made me a real true 100% optimist and lover of life ideologically, and it’s all downstream of this synesthesia or whatever. I feel my most myself and connected to the world when I have control over this rather than it be hijacked by my OCD/ GAD/ MDD. It is truly foundational.

I also was a prodigious chess player as a kid, but I was medically retired because I’d obsess over tournaments, and in the few games I’ve played in the decades since, I have felt a vivid activation of all this. I mention this because I don’t have much of a desire to use coluracetam to get back into this, or for tennis which I truly play for the love of the game and have almost no real competition in me, and no financial pressure.

I’ve been running Coluracetam and have felt it to be the thing for me. I’ve been taking sublingual doses, but am thinking about switching to higher, oral doses for the MDD and GAD.

I am wondering if anyone has any ideas about what I can compliment Coluracetam with, or if anything I described seems indicative of certain systems that I could be targeting.

Currently, I’m running

- Wellbutrin (which seems to have a terrible rep; it really helped me in an MDD state and gives me the energy to put stuff away and take care of myself basically, but I’m open to lowering my dose down from 150xl because I do think it makes me jittery and has worsened my sleep teeth clenching and the CYP interactions are kind of annoying)
- Citicholine (which has anecdotally made my once-a-week cannabis usage so much better; I hate hate hate hate hate feeling lost or out of it while I’m high, though the next-day fog has always been my biggest deterrent by far, and choline kinda nukes that, I think.)
- NAC
- Lions mane and wild salmon oil (both are superstitious for me, idc)
- Adderall XR
- Mag3 (is this the best form for my case?)

I’m curious to try for general ocd/MDD support:
Tropisetron
Luvox
Trintellix

And I’m curious about these for enhancement of Coluracetam specifically, in my very limited knowledge of all this. I think maybe they work on similar systems.
Aniracetam
Oxiracetam

Any other ideas!! Thanks guys!

Discussion Cannabis is the best nootropic if used correctly.

Ever since I’ve stopped doomscrolling, overstimulation, and unhealthy things I’ve noticed cannabis starts acting more as a nootropic rather than frying/desensitizing your dopamine.

I go smoke up and go for a walk and I’m pure zen.
Just peace, cognitive enhancement, clarity, antidepressant effects (even after the high fades away.

What is y’all experience like?

Seeking Advice What nootropics can i get in India

Im a student right now preparing for a country level entrance examination

In india its like really controlled and theres not much u can get ur hands on without a prescription

Meds i have as of now:

  1. Modafinil (for coginitive restoration on low sleep like all nighters and stuff also its like caffeine + better keeps u awake for 10-15 hours with negligible brainfog)

  2. L-theanine ( for reducing jitters and anxirty when i drink too much coffee)

  3. omega 3 supplements heard it kinda helps improve brain function not sure tho

So my question is what nootropics can i get without a prescription that can even slightly help in

  1. Enhancing memory

  2. increase alertness/ cognitive thinking

  3. Just overall improve smartness or yea u get the idea gives me an upper edge in this

  4. increase nueorplasticity

I kinda recently got into all this alot cuz it rwally fascinates me, i was a chronic smoker for about an year. I quit recently though after finding out a study of how chronic nic use shrinks grey matter in brain. ( grey matter is apparetnly responsible for memory, congintive thinking etc)

I do deeply regret ever starting nic not because i give a shit about lung cancer or anything but because of it basically making u dumber and thats the only reason i quit. about 2 weeks into it.

Discussion Kanna Extract as a Nootropic

I’m wondering about others’ experiences with kanna and kanna extracts as nootropics. I’m fairly experienced with nootropics, and I’d say kanna ranks among the most effective I’ve tried to date for verbal fluency, anxiety relief, and motivation.

I’m currently taking 1 mL of a kanna extract solution (7.6% total alkaloids, 76% mesembrine) alongside caffeine, and I find the combination easily as effective as a moderate dose of Noopept (granted it requires re-dosing throughout the day).

I still haven’t found anything that matches modafinil’s effects on productivity and motivation. However, while it helps me stay productive for longer, I feel like I take a considerable hit to my IQ for the day that I am on it.

I’m curious to hear others’ thoughts and experiences.

Seeking Advice Best Nootropics for ADHD that is not a complete waste of money

Any advice on what actually works for ADHD? My goals are focus, task initiation/motivation, mental clarity and memory. Maybe some stress support as well.

I have done the prescription route and while the effects of some was exceptional it caused bad anhedonia for me so really trying to experiment with what's out there.

Tried CDP choline it did nothing, will Alpha GPC work better? L-Tyrosine also didnt do much but was a short low dose trial. Also tried Rhodiola and became irritable. What other options is there that works? I am thinking about Bacopa and Alpha GPC? Maybe some NMN and Coq10? Semax Selank? LDopa?

My current stack is

Lions Mane

Omega 3

Lithium Orotate

Vitamin C 1000mg

Whey protein

Creatine monohydrate 5g

Vitamin D3 & K2

Selenium 200ug

B complex

Ashwaganda

TRT

Mounjaro

Any advice would be appreciated

Discussion Is Magnesium L-Threonate crossing the BBB all hype and fluff?

I'm curious as to how, mechanistically, this thing can cross the BBB.

I doubt it does a better job that Magnesium Lysinate Glycinate Chelate.

How can it possibly cross the BBB better if it dissociates into L-Threonate and Magnesium in your blood and water anyways?

Discussion Will it be impossible to order nootropics in the EU because of novel food laws?

Even if a nootropic substance cannot be abused, it cannot be legally sold in the EU due to novel food laws. Until now, it was relatively easy to order them from the USA because controls aren't very frequent.
But since customs are using more and more AI, aren't we gonna evolve towards a situation where EVERY nootropic is seized and destroyed by the customs?

Experience NAC's effect is subtle but there. You won't know what it's doing until 2 months in. Give it time.

1.) You have to take it consistently for at least 8 weeks to see an effect.

2.) You will wake up one day and realize, hold on a second, what the hell, this drug has completely changed you in a subtle way by nudging all your behaviors, little by little.

3.) The biggest change is that it lowers signal intensity for you. Sleep plus NAC at bedtime will completely change the intensity with which you experience something pleasurable like junk food, porn, etc. Something pleasurable is still something you'll chase, just not as intensely as before. And, that same pleasurable thing will be enjoyable, but the signal will just be a lot less intense. The same applies to your irritability, negativity, etc. So, it curbs both sides of the equation. It's not that you won't want to or like doing something like binge-eating tasty food. It's just that your desire for it goes down to a point where you're like "oh yeah, it's tasty, I'll have it if I want".

4.) The anhedonia is something more complex. Most people say that it turns them into a being that cannot experience joy. Here's how it works: Your day to day experience of mundane things becomes tolerable but the little joys like eating cotton candy, or spending an excessive amount of time on a video game or playing way too energetically with your kid or something -- that will all become something meh that you won't put in too much umph into. However, suppose you have some academic or work interest -- it won't touch it much. You'll just know how to detach from it better and re-attach on your own terms.

Discussion Is phenibut pointless if you have benzos?

For social situations once in a while, if you want to avoid alcohol but have similar or better effects with fewer damage, is phenibut useless if you have benzos or, can get lyrica for cheaper? Or is it a much better drug?
