Does this class normally have curves and what are the cutoffs? Thought its a easy class but keep bombing quizzes and exams lol

Some of you were raised horribly. If you are at a dining court for a popular menu item, you do not fill your plate with that item. Take a reasonable amount and come back later for seconds. You should not be standing there taking scoop after scoop because you’re too lazy to realize you aren’t the only person who needs to eat.

EDIT: You guys don’t realize what i’m saying. I’m not telling you to take one scoop. I’m saying to be considerate of the students behind you. Take a portion of what you need and come back if you’d like more. If you have time to sit in a dining hall you should have the time to wait in line again. I’m talking about the students emptying half of the tray on one plate. Every student is in the same situation it doesn’t take any energy to be a little more considerate to your peers. 🤷‍♂️

I’m a Purdue freshman, and my CS professor emailed me saying they have evidence that I copy/pasted code from an external source. I have a meeting with them on the evening, and I’m really anxious about what might happen.

For context, I wrote the code myself before the exam and copied it to my clipboard because I was worried about running out of time. During the exam, I pasted it into one question. I didn’t use someone else’s code or AI, but I understand that this violated the exam instructions, which explicitly prohibited outside websites and software.

I’m planning to be honest about what happened, but I’m worried about the consequences.

Has anyone been through a similar situation at Purdue, especially in CS? What happened during the meeting? Is it possible to get a zero on the exam rather than fail the entire course? Does the professor decide the penalty, or does it go through the Dean of Students?

I’d really appreciate hearing about people’s actual experiences or advice on how to prepare for the meeting. I’m not trying to justify what I did; I just want to understand what to expect.

My time slot for picking a room is on Wednesday. For people who have already selected their rooms for next year, what does it look like, and what dorms/apartments are available to get for West Lafayette?

Please recommend upper level 300+ general education elective courses you enjoyed and the instructor you had. Distance Learning or In-Person with light workload, considerably easy. GPA Booster 😊 Other posts here are outdated. Thanks!

there's a guy standing outside target with gore of an aborted fetus next to target. i reported him and he's talking abt calling the cops so there might be cops there too soon

How do I even get research. Ive been cold emailing professors and some of them said I can come to thei meetings, but its just presentations of current phd student. How do I specifically get a research position for the summer because its most likely I wont get an internship for the summer. Also, I've been looking at Purdue research application sites and been applying, but havent heard anything yet

Hi all. It seems to me that wallet has fallen out of my pocket somewhere on the walk from greyhouse to the West Lafayette library… it’s a black vivienne westwood card holder (it’s got a Saturn planet on it), please message me if it’s spotted anywhere! :’)

Hello, my team is conducting a Survey for our ENTR 310 Team Project, and we need 20-30 responses. The survey is intended for undergraduate students and responses would be greatly appreciated. The link to the survey is below.

Has anyone heard anything about the Midterm 1 grades for MA/STAT 416 with Professor Janjigian? It’s been almost three weeks, and I haven’t seen any updates. Just wondering if anyone has asked the professor or knows when we might get our grades back.

Hey! So my friends and I are so lost on what to do about applying for a triple room, as we cannot find any good photos ANYWHERE of triples. Are there any real triples in Earhart or are they only converted? Also I heard a tour guide say that there are Windsor triples connected sharing a bathroom and living room? Which part of Windsor is the best? Does South Hall have nice triples?

Ahhhhh any pieces of information or anyones experience in a triple would be helpful! I lived in a converted triple in Meredith South this year and it wasnt bad at all!

pretty much just the title. Want to swap to a First Street Towers dorm for the 27-28 year.

The 3rd & West has 1 bedroom, 2 beds, and 1 bathroom. It's got a kitchen, fridge, and microwave. It's on the second floor not facing the soccer fields. There's no roommate currently, if you want to add someone in or smth.

DM me if you want to swap your First Street Towers dorm for this

I have first street towers single wirh br and ac but I really wanted hawkins single. anyone willing to switch for next year?

I am taking SoCET as well next sem. I am thinking of dropping 302, but would like some advice on if I should, or maybe take discrete instead. Thanks.

Hey everyone,

I’m currently a First-Year Engineering (FYE) student looking to CODO into Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE). To hit my credit target next semester, I’m planning to take Calculus 2 (MA 162/261 equivalent) and Calculus 3 over the next 2 summers through Ivy Tech. (Or maybe spring and summer)

I’m currently taking MA 161 (performing slightly above average, but nothing crazy). Since I live nowhere near a Purdue or Ivy Tech campus during the summer, I have a few questions about how Ivy Tech handles remote exams:

1. Are Ivy Tech summer and spring calculus courses proctored online?
2. How does their remote proctoring system work (e.g., Zoom/webcam, third-party software, local testing centers)?
3. For anyone who has taken Calc 2 or 3 through Ivy Tech, how was the experience compared to Purdue?

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated!

To the guy who turfed it on his skateboard in between Northwestern/Stadium 4-way, you didn't pick up your airpod charger when you were rushing to pick things up. Poor guy, I have the charger, as I think you still had the airpods in your ears, but I have it here at ARMS 1252.

You started skateboarding back through the service road between ARMS and HAMP/PHYS. Hope I can find you. I don't wanna give to the lost and found at Surplus because they'll just sell it eventually.

Cheers

I have a degree in data science. Does anyone one know what kind of jobs to apply to?

I know there are, machine learning, data engineering, data analyst, and data scientist jobs I can apply to. But I don’t like any of these jobs. I want to know if there are any other job positions I can apply to

I was wanting to check ny transcript and this error pops up when I try to open the mypurdue link through the information technology page

What do we think averages are looking like?
