chocolate point Encouraging Social Confidence
I should have thought to ask this in my last post whoops.
Valkyrie was raised by a breeder, and then adopted by me. She was socialized to people properly when she was a kitten, as far as I could tell. Despite that, she is wary of strangers and must come to them on her own terms. Context is I live alone, so maybe that didn't help.
How do other people here encourage social confidence in their cats? My other non-meezer cat is very confident around strangers, so he's a role model in theory, but Valkyrie is very particular. She's almost kind of a "tsundere".

wHaT bReEd/CoLoR? Meet my Lucy Lu
Rescued her , bottle fed her, nursed her back to health, now she just turned lucky 7! She was found as a baby and almost lost her eye (hence the cloudy eye) she went through many vet visits and treatments and got to keep her eye! I always thought she was chocolate since she got sooo dark! But turns out chocolate doesnât mean brown in siameses.
Here are a few pics for context!
Iâm thinking she is seal point .

âYouâre probably wondering how I ended up in this situation.â - Princess Beans
Before someone comments âdonât help, just filmâ or how I shouldâve immediately helped, I left Beans dangling for a couple second because she got herself into the situation and needs to learn to either not do that again, or to get herself out of the situation because dadâs not always going to be there to save her.
She got her other paw on the curtain and a foot on the table so she could unhook after a couple seconds of scrambling. I was ready to grab her if she started to panic so she wouldnât rip a claw, but held off from jumping straight in because then sheâd be doing the exact same thing a day later when I wasnât there to rescue her.

meezer Briefly Distracted from Extensive Grooming Session
Princess Pyewacket wasn't being suitably photogenic until I waved my scrunchie at her. She has this tendency to begin a vigorous grooming session anytime I pull out my phone to take a picture.

Benson the Balinese Seal Point
Everyone meet Benson. He is a 16 week old Balinese Seal Point. I flew all the way from Chicago to Oklahoma City for him. Heâs such a lover boy, extra affectionate.
He has two older brothers. Deacon - 9 years old (gray/white tabby) and Jack - 3 years old (orange tabby).
After getting Bensonâs stool sample back (negative) he got to meet his brothers and the second night/third morning they are all friendly! The slow introduction lasted a night lol
Benson is currently taking the powder probiotics (FortiFlora) because he has some diarrhea. Hopefully in the next few days his stool is solid and then he can officially be roaming around with his brothers. He is currently in a separate bedroom until then.

The Lil princess of the house
Sheâll be about 7 months old tomorrow. I rescued her when she was less than 2 months old, from a squalid situation in the small town where I work.
