As the title says if i go fullscreen on steam client, there is a missing line of pixel in the bottom.
I had to make a photo with my smartphone because screenshot didn't captured it (i suppose because it subtracts one pixel from every border of the screen to capture it).
I magnifyied the screen with the windows tool to show better the line on the bottom.
Its red/orange because my desktop wallpaper is it.
So basically a line of pixel is missing and it shows the background.
I tried with games, apps, folders, browsers and this doesn't happens.
It is there only with the steam client.
My monitor is an ASUS ROG Swift 360 Hz 1440p.
I asked one friend of mine and he said he had the same issue and had to re-enable the bottom W11 bar because the bottom line was distracting.
I almost forgot to mention that it is showed even when watching game trailers in fullscreen
i opened an image with a lot of lime green in it in the background and as you can see from the second image you can see the missing line of pixel that shows whatever there is in the background

The Steam Next Fest just ended, and it's the first time I've ended up disappointed because I couldn't find the good games among so much shovelware, AI slop, or low-effort asset flips games.
So while we wait for Steam to fix this problem with their events, I wanted to ask you... What strategy do you use to find the best games, or the hidden gems, in each Steam Next Fest?
Do you use the filters? The charts? Do you go looking in the sections that Steam recommends?

I bought Castlevania Belmont's curse recently and have been loving it, I've already logged over 16 hours, and I was thinking about upgrading to the Midnight edition so I could look at the art book because the game is genuinely gorgeous. So I go to the steam page, ready to give Konami my money and I realize, there is no upgrade option. I was so ready to buy an upgrade to a game I genuinely really enjoy and yet Konami, for no reason at all, decided that what you buy is what you get. I would either have to re-buy the whole game as the midnight edition, or try to beg steam support to let me refund (despite my 16.5 hours) the game so I could re-buy it just to get an art book. I think it's ridiculously unfriendly to the consumer to not have an upgrade pack after you buy a game. I don't know how feasible it would be to code an upgrade pack as dlc, but you're literally throwing away money to not have one.

Hi everyone,
Several months ago I shared my extension for ignoring Steam games with a mouse swipe. I've kept developing it since then, and recently added **built-in ignore lists**. One of them covers AI-generated games, which many redditors here want filtered out.
How it works:
Open the extension on any Steam Store page and go to the Ignore Tasks Queue panel.
Click the lists icon, pick a list and add it to the extension's queue.
The extension ignores the games one by one in the background.
See the video for more details.
To be clear, all ignores are saved to your Steam account only, and you can undo them at any time. The extension uses your own signed-in session and the same request Steam's Ignore button sends. Your Steam session and tokens go only to Steam's own servers and never reach me or any third party. It's free and open source, with no tracking.
Hope you find it useful.

DISCLAIMER: This extension is built with the assistance of AI. I've worked on it for many months, as the changelog and commit history show. However, if you don't accept AI in any form, this extension won't suit you. The full details of how AI was used are in the [AI disclosure](https://github.com/BrineStorm/Steam-Ignore-Like-a-Pro/blob/main/AI-disclosure.md).

So my game is currently 20% off in all currencies, but depending on how I refresh the page, Steam randomly shows a different discount percentage (11% in this case). The weird part is that the final discounted price is still correct, so the math makes absolutely no sense.
It's pretty frustrating because the whole point of a discount is to encourage people to buy a game for a good price, and there's a big difference between seeing 11% and 20% off.
Is anyone else experiencing this? Or is it just PLN acting weird?
Hey everyone!
Recently I’ve started getting lots of messages from accounts that are not my friends where they open with “hey I need to ask something’s important!” And I block them immediately, but there was one guy I gave a chance to see what’s so important
He sent me a photo of a transaction with my name on steam marketplace which was fake obviously, blocked and reported immediately because I got stressed seeing my name there
But it has been to weird I get on average two or three of those on a weekly basis. Do you encounter the same?

I always get excited when Steam Next Fest rolls around because there are so many new game demos to try. Usually, I start by browsing and downloading a bunch of interesting ones, then jump into playing a few.
Before I know it, the seven days are over, and there are still tons of games I haven't even had a chance to look at.
It always felt like such a shame, so I made a little tool called "Next Fest Extender". It indexes all the games featured during Next Fest and lets you filter them by tags, so you can come back and browse through them whenever you actually have the time.
Link: Next Fest Extender
It's completely free, and I hope it helps other players who have the same problem.

I'm Japanese and not very good at English, so this was translated using a website. I'm sorry if it's hard to read.
I just turned 16 and have been making games using Godot.
I’m getting pretty close to finishing one, so I thought I’d release it on Steam soon. But it seems I need to register as a developer to do that.
While it’s apparently not against the rules for minors to do so, I haven’t seen many reports online of people actually being able to register, and I’ve never seen any Japanese people do it, so I’m wondering if it might be illegal in Japan.
My parents are willing to help if I ask, but I’d rather get it done now if possible—it’ll be a hassle to register on my own later and transfer the game over.
There’s a lot I don’t know about this, so I’d really appreciate some advice!
Thanks for reading this far.

It has been a while I am trying to find the origin of my steam avatar profile picture, and yet I have no clue of where it belongs. The only info I remember of it was it being recommended as a default steam profile picture a long while ago.
I remember there was other profile pictures with the same style (probably from the same game). I did not have luck on reverse search it on Google.
The only similar image i have found of it was a korean post about a wolf called "Clyde".

"Clyde lives on the Rogue Road, but he is actually the youngest son of a Double Downtown Mafia family. He is intelligent but physically weak, so he does not participate in family events except for major occasions. He commutes to a respectable job located in Rich Gold City. After accidentally meeting and becoming friends with Freda and Scavi at a party, he finds himself in a subtle love triangle."
The fact that both are nearly identical suggests that I’m getting somewhere, but I’m still far from a lead or an answer.
I did a similar post about 2 years ago that did not have any comments, so i hope this time i get a clue or answer.

So i was planing to buy this game in winter sale at the end of this year, since almost every games has a lot of discount. So i decide to add it in my to-buy list before i checkout in upcoming winter sale.
BUT!
As for this sale the Scream Fest 5 just started,i decide to check for something that catch my eyes.
And i ended up checking this game and saw this free DLC. I've read the description that this is rewind of free halloween cosmetics so i decide to get it but i can't because i didn't own the game yet.
My question is...
Can i still get this DLC after halloween? Or i have to buy it immediately to get this?
(Because i was still in savings for a big games buying dump in later winter sale.)
PS.I've checked but the deadline is said in 2022 so i really confused.
Will you help fellow child of night please?

Hi, I’ve always had this question floating around in my head: If the Steam app (launcher) has complete access to people’s game libraries, why doesn’t Steam provide an opt-in option to share precompiled shaders and upload them to a central server? Players could then download and install these shaders along with the game, rather than having to compile them on every machine for every driver version.
I mean, Steam already plans to show performance metrics for each game by comparing a player’s PC specs with those of a similar machine on which the game has already been tested.

I connected my phone to my PC today just to see if valve had made any progress with steam link recently and it is still an absolute nightmare to use the UI. The touchscreen mouse emulator is essentially worthless and the touchscreen controller emulator is not much better.
I can see this being a really useful tool, not just for game streaming but for desktop control if they can figure this out. Its not really realistic to expect adults to carry game controllers around with their phones in most situations so I really hope they do some UI work
I am interested in what other people think ... is this a feature you would like to see developed?
