Question/Advice What's a car where both the windshield wiper lever and turn signal lever are on the left side of the steering wheel?
I'm trying to help my girlfriend find a car that's comfortable for her to drive since she's disabled and can't move her right hand, so she needs those controls to be on the left side of the steering wheel.

Question/Advice Scratches after tint?
I got ceramic tint on friday at around 2 pm. The guy said I was good to roll down the windows in 24 hours which I felt was a bit soon but trusted his advice so I waited until today on sunday to do so. Do these scratches look like they happened from rolling down the window too soon? I’m almost positive they weren’t there prior. This is a used car that had tint previously that was removed by the owner himself, so there’s a chance these scratches were there prior to me getting the windows tinted and I just couldn’t see them. It’s also only on the inside of the window and feels smooth to the touch.
I know I should’ve waited at least 3-5 days like most places recommend, where I work I roll down the window to scan my parking pass to drive through the property and so I trusted his word out of laziness so I wouldn’t have to constantly open the door to scan in but I know ultimately this falls on me for not waiting long enough if I did cause it. Thoughts?

Should i scrap it?
This was my first real semi-road legal car that i've owned, driven it to the ground and made a 4,500 km trip to Hamburg with it, as of this moment it's basically a paper weight becouse the registration was taken away by the Police for the lack of a Catalyc converter and excessive body rust. Can't register it anymore and the scrap value doesnt exceed 200€, my goal for it is to keep it parked for as long as possible, basically an abandoned car experiment, what would you do?

Positioning of my seat/wheel.
New driver in a Nissan Leaf
I'm 5ft 1 so my seat has to be forward but I've noticed after driving and during my shoulders feel tense. I'm not sure if it's how I'm holding wheel 10 past 10 or quarter to 3 or if I'm tense or if I'm too far forward/seat too low? How can I tell.

Strange encounter
My girlfriend texted me after I dropped her off at work saying that a man told her "it looks like the water pump on my car is gonna go bad and that will leave you stranded" my car isn't leaking, isn't steaming, doesnt even come close to overheating nor does it sound funny. It's a 2014 nissan sentra and the water pump isnt something you can easily get a view of. They guy did not recommend her to take it somewhere so it kinda makes me think it wasnt someone pulling a scam. Any experienced mechanics know how in the world someone could know my water pump was bad by looking at my car?

Having a hard time to tell if I filled my oil correctly
Title says it all just want your opinions on if this is a good level or not. I left the car sitting for over an hour after a short drive and it's level. Just concerned it's over the mark. I've probably pulled the dips tick out and wiped it 30 times anyways thanks in advance. Taking a 1200 mile trip tomorrow just want to make sure it's okay.

2004 Golf Mk5 GTI 2.0 TFSI: red steering light, no interior lights, dash backlight dead, scan tool won’t connect
Hi all, I'm helping a friend with his 2004 Golf Mk5 GTI 2.0 TFSI. I'm in France, sorry for any mistakes in my English.
Symptoms:
- Steering is very heavy and the steering wheel warning light is red
- Instrument cluster has no backlight (only the warning lights show)
- Interior lights don't work at all
- Headlights work
History: the previous owner replaced the battery because the old one was dead, and the car went into this state afterwards. We replaced the battery again, no change. An aftermarket CarPlay head unit has been fitted, and I don't know how it was wired.
What we tried: no blown fuses (visual check), a scan tool (about €200) can't connect to the car, and the steering angle calibration fails.
Next I'll measure power and ground at the OBD port (pins 16, 4, 5) and unplug the head unit to see if anything comes back.
Has anyone seen this? Could it be the J519 (onboard supply control unit), or the head unit messing with the CAN bus? Any help appreciated, thanks!
