Sister Friede is my favorite Dark Souls boss of all time!

She has perfect pacing. Her difficulty is legendary, but not impossible or unfair. Cinematically its PEAK! The camera is generally great throughout the whole fight (King of Storms, Midir, I'm looking at you). The music is so good! (Only music that's better imo is Vordt's Music). She is a perfectly crafted boss fight.

(Gael is hot on her heels but I like Sister more).

Anyways she is the GOAT in my opinion.

I achieved the impossible tonight, 4 bourbons deep and a mountain of anguish over this dreadful boss. I preserved and fucking did it. This feeling is the best thing ever. Comparatively to Heroin. Wow. Wow. Wow. Dick on hard. 5 inches to the moon. Thank you for your advice and kind/not so kind words. God damn it. I popped an ember after my last flask ran out and just ran up to her with my claws and spammed L2 and she let me lol. Honestly 100% rng which is why I have always thought this boss was bs (she was on half health before that sequence) but we ball she is trash and I can finally stop stressing over this. Thanks!

First time playthrough with Elden Ring being my first souls game, i can't express the feeling that this game has given me, simply amazing. All 19 bosses down in the base game, DLC time!

Riposte brainfart lol. I knew I had a plan for it but I forgot I had a dagger.

Done at level 1, new game plus 7. Not a big fan of this boss. I hope I don't need to explain why phase 1 is bad. Phase 2 either feels like "spam roll in his face and attack when he's done" simulator, or the no roll strategy to let him gap close, punish, then run away to do it all again. The maneuvers to survive and hit him are actually very cool this way, and he's a great boss for teaching cool mechanics. I do have to thank him for that.

What I don't like is the process of disengaging. The move where he flies behind you/around and thrusts at you behaves unpredictably if you don't get him to full turn around and take a step towards you first. He can actually hit you at the start of this move if you're unlucky, this is very rare I think. It makes the spacing needed for this fight a lot more specific, and it just feels unintended. It's hard to enjoy a boss when you're worried that it will glitch at any time.

How do I get to this item? I've tried jumping and can't get there. Sorry if it's been asked before

I wanna switch it up and curious what other weapons are worth upgrading this time around. Maybe something a little faster? 🤷‍♂️

Im looking to make a big bonk thunder build, but making the faith secondary.

A few questions.

Is LKGS still good for faith strenght? If so, what is better to use an infusion or enchant it on the spot?

Is it better AR with lightning, heavy or blessed?

What other strengh weapons are the best? I want to also use something like vords great hammer or great club for a secundary weapon. I would obviously do both thunder weapons (the great axe and the axe)

How much points in faith do i need if its a second stat? And what would i use (talisman) for this build?

So I'm rather new to having access to multiplayer although I've been playing DS for some time now on and off.

I've been running through trying to ember as much as possible and I have the white soapstone on my tool belt to drop most places I go, but have never encountered a summon in either direction. I see ghosts of people everywhere but no summons. Is it that rare?

I just got into Dark Souls, and I am convinced Nameless King is beyond difficult on the second play through
I’m going on my second day and easily 20+ attempts deep, genuinely losing my mind. To make matters worse, I just found out after all these agonizing tries that you can skip the damn cutscene. I’ve been sitting there watching him pet that damned bird. after reading up on his tragic exile lore, Gwyn was right. Keep him stuck on that godforsaken peak to rot. Now on every single future playthrough, this guy is staying strictly optional. I am never ringing that bell again.

Lately I’ve been playing a strength build with the Bastard Sword, I know there’s a lot better weapons but it feels like a solid honest choice and I really like it. Even if I could use the claymore, it’s fun making the BS work.

What are your favorite “unoptimal” weapons?

Just got my first platinum for a Souls game on this run. Did a mix of offline and online farming; it wasn't terrible. The stairs were brutally mindless. I did a few different builds throughout the whole playthrough to spice it up. Pretty sure I got it done relatively quickly; super happy regardless... On to DS1 for tailcuts next!! :)

Hi everyone. I'm already familiar with builds in Elden Ring and Bloodborne. For DS3 I decided to go with a DEX/INT. I found and am really enjoying the Irithyll Straight Sword so far, but after reading about it, I noticed it's not a fit for my build in late game. Is there a way to fix this or at least find a similar sword that could work for my build? Or should I just give it up and find another weapon? Thanks!

I've always had a lot of trouble understanding stories/storylines on a first read/watch; this is for books and video games but much less so for movies and TV shows. Additionally, with stories in books and video games I also need to do extra reading from forums or video essays to truly get a good idea about the story.

And I just can't get behind Dark Souls 3 lore. The lore about the world's creation and early history is a bit hard to grasp because it's a bit metaphorical and philosophical. But then for example even after reading the wikipedia articles several times about The Dark, The Deep, The Abyss and The Dark Soul I legit can't understand what's the difference between any of them.

i just wanted to do a pyromancer run, now i bought this fancy dark fist from Yuria, never played with it before, and i dont know why, but it deals hella lot damage for just beeing a meele cestus in this case, i skilled nothing on strength or dex
