I don’t care what anyone says. Yes, Wemby is way better on defense. Great. Shot blocking only gets you so far. How much did that help the Spurs in the clutch as they choked away every game this series without offensive playmaking and reliable rebounding? Wemby will eventually be better but Jokic is ten times the playmaker and rebounder that Wemby is right now. Dude was crowned way too early and he was nearly invisible down the stretch every game in the finals. Long way to go to be the best in the world.

With how disappointing the end of the season was, we’ve seen a ton of trade ideas and discussion popping up. To keep the main feed from getting too cluttered, we’re consolidating all trade proposals, mock deals, and speculation into this thread.
Drop your ideas, debate moves, and talk through what the Nuggets should do this offseason, all in one place. As always, sub rules still apply —> keep it respectful, no matter how wild the take might be.

Anyone on this subreddit is likely an NBA fan, and as fun as it is, I think its important to remember that ur favorite team winning or losing won’t affect any aspect of ur lives (unless you put money down which ur fault).
I kinda forced myself to not GAF anymore after game 2 loss, as it actually fucked with my sleep that night which is insane.
Just because your from Denver and you like the team, doesn’t mean you gotta let it affect your mood, just enjoy the fun moments

I thought he would be a great coach but it’s proven this post season that he is just a great assistant coach. It’s not bad you need amazing assistants but he does not have the passion or wit to be a great head coach.
With that said I wonder who the nuggets would go to as their next head coach?
We need a defensive minded passion coach but it can’t just be a Malone repeat but I do like Nick Nurse (not as good with the 6ers but he has been excellent at making adjustments with injuries)

Nuggets look to close out the first half with a W against the Grizzlies.

I don't just mean because they blow teams out, including the Nuggets, but it's literally a less enjoyable way of viewing a basketball game.
They're a top team team with great pieces like a handful of other teams in the league, but their separator to win games so consistently is all the stuff around the margins that makes basketball ugly instead of beautiful. Pesky swarming defense that breaks up potentially exciting plays, foul baiting on the offensive end, and grinding the game to a constant halt.
I was watching the game last night and my roommate who never pays much attention to basketball looks at the TV for two minutes and commented that the Thunder are constantly draped on everyone and that the whistle kept getting blown constantly. I was like "I know, that's how they win!" So even a non-fan was immediately able to see just how ugly they make the game.
I don't fault them for having a winning strategy, but it's a shame that their consistency comes from being annoying pests that are not an enjoyable watch rather than just trying to outskill their opponent in more traditional ways.

Adelman looked promising when he took OKC to 7 and locked in his HC gig, but after his first full season we lacked energy and our rotations struggled. Yeah you can put that on the players too but coaches usually get all the blame for this so I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s gone. The real question is who can we realistically go for next? A proven coach like Kerr if he leaves GSW or Thibbs. Could we take a chance on another coaching assistant? Who knows at this point anymore maybe we hire Rocky!
