Hey everyone, Looking for advice on what to do next. My Discord account (@tlanmaster) got compromised. The attackers enabled MFA without my permission and locked me out completely. I still have access to the original email tied to the account, and 2FA/phone/backup codes were never set up by me beforehand. I opened a support ticket and explained everything. After some back and forth, support basically told me their security policy doesn’t allow them to remove the MFA even though it was added by the hacker. They offered to just delete the account so I can make a new one with the same email. They closed the recovery path and won’t reconsider. I’m pretty frustrated because this feels like a complete dead end for the original account. Has anyone dealt with something similar? Is there any way to push this further (escalate, different support channel, etc.), or is deletion + new account the only realistic option at this point? Any advice on what to do next would be appreciated.

So i heard that discord changed the age requirements and made it 13+ globally,but this applies to the EU?

On 22 september discord made an announcement that its changing its age requirements but some countries in EU have 14+, 15+, 16+ in the past, does this apply to these contries now or the law is the same?

I got hacked yesterday at midnight because I sleep at 22:00 early before I didn’t touch the discord and my computer was having a malware and I begin by using malwarebytes on my personal computer and yesterday midnight at 00:00 I got hacked even I locked my discord account with authentication code somehow at midnight hackers hacked my discord account this is first time I had this incident and I need to deal and get my account this morning but I finally got my account back this is the weird thing I locked my account secure password and authentication key code somehow they hacked my account how? This is extremely weird and unusual incident. (More details hackers is set my friend’s profile every users the hacker set is ignore every friends list I need to waste my time to unignore every friend list)

I accidentally auto renewed my discord subscription and now i can't get a refund because i can't sign in, i know the password is right because i even reset it just for this

As the title says, I made a Discord support request about my account being hacked and not being able to log in anymore. My problem is that the side view with all information about my ticket got completely cleared and is now empty. The ticket itself is still marked as "open", but has no details anymore. It also weirdly says "last activity today", but I received no message or anything. Did I do something wrong with my appeal? (P.S.: I don't know if I had to censor the name and ticket number, haha.)

Im in many 18+ nsfw that post nsfw video/photos/animes etc. Whenever I see any I particularly like I save the video and send it to myself in dm(or forward). I had this Discord account for 3 years and never ran into an issue or ever even gotten a warning. But today after sending myself vids from one of those servers a few hours ago I got banned for “child safety”, I have no idea why or what specific msg got me banned but im guessing its from this videos… Is there any way to get unbanned should I appeal this, Im guessing the person who sent the image in the first place on the 18+ server already got banned but I had complete expectations that anything on that server would be 18+ because yk…its nsfw.

I am wondering 1. Should I appeal this or not bother, this is a pretty serious accusation and I dont know if discord would even bother having a human read my appeal what if they just ip ban once they see my appeal (I would assume a bot is the one who banned me in the first place) 2. Can i see if this is a permanent ban or a year ban or 2 years? 3. would me appealing give the discord moderation team access to my dm with myself? I mean its just filled with nsfw stuff but also my private information if you scroll far enough (I assumed this would never become an issue cuz not like I would ever report myself but now i see how this is an issue and i rather not have a dicord mod look through my email)

This is my first post and a very heartbreaking one for me.

I got my account hacked and I probably think it was because I joined a server in which it asked me to verify and then after a few minutes I got logged out and received an email that my account got hacked and got disabled. In that email they asked me to rest my password and I tried to do it. When I tried, it the change password pop up window opend and my 2FA was there so when I clicked to verify with my passkey it said there are no passkeys on this device and I didn't take any backup codes so I don't know my backup codes and I believe that hacker had probably deleted my passkey and I don't know what to do it's almost been a week and I tried many things I couldn't login to this discord support for some reason and I eventually got to create a account in discord support and it turns out that they cannot help 💔 . That account is like 4 or 5 years old and many of my friends where there I really need it if someone knows how to help me get my account or has any ideas to do so please let me know. You guys are my last hope.

So I got logged out on my laptop from Discord and now when i try to login with the QR code option or via username and password it pops up that i need the code from authenticator app. I don't have such.. And I don't have the back up codes.. How to gain access back? Pleaseeee help

I play a mobile game with a group and it requires us to use Discord as we play, I use Discord on an old phone and play on my current phone, this is at a game store so a PC is not an option.

Even though I fully close the app and shut down my old phone after the event i will sometimes not get notifications on my current phone for up to a week after.

We are dealing with an issue on our Discord server where scammers immediately send friend requests (impersonating our support staff) to users within seconds of them opening a support ticket, and I am trying to understand how they are detecting who opened the ticket.

What is happening:

• Users open a support ticket (tickety or ticket tool bot) by clicking a button on our ticket panel (no public message or reaction is required in the support channel).
• As soon as the ticket is created (thread mode using Tickety), the user receives friend requests and DMs from fake staff accounts trying to phish them (and they are not in the Discord).

What we have already checked and implemented:

• Channel permissions: Ticket channels are strictly private (@everyone and regular member roles have View Channel denied; only the user who opened the ticket, the ticket bot, and our support staff role have access).
• No public triggers: Opening a ticket is done via button interaction, and our ticket logs are kept in a private staff-only channel.
• Role/permission audit: We verified that creating a ticket does not assign a publicly visible role to the user and checked our audit logs and bot permissions for any obvious leaks.

My main question:
If regular server members do not have permission to view the ticket category or private ticket channels, how are scammers able to know the exact moment a specific user opens a ticket?

Does Discord's gateway/API leak CHANNEL_CREATE or permission overwrites (the user's ID) to non-privileged clients in certain category/thread configurations, or is there another known vector (such as active threads visibility, presence updates, or a specific ticket bot setting) that we need to lock down? Any advice on how to stop this leak would be greatly appreciated!

A few weeks back I got a dm in which the person was asking me to contact some "discord software engineer" so that discord can't ban my acc ... because there was a complaint raised against me for theft.

So a friend texted me today and said he got a warning that says "Watch out for stolen accounts". He said it's only showing up in my dms.

I don’t think Discord is down since I can access Discord through the mobile app but I can’t open discord on my laptop app or browser for some reason. This is happening on both my phone and laptop browser. It’s not a matter of internet either since every other app requiring internet is fine

9 days ago my email got changed so I could not log into my discord. My friends told me it was the Mr Beast bot. After I sent a ticket, they told me that they will check the situation and they will contact me as soon aa possible. Right now, 9 days have passed and nothing, should I ask them for a report or something. I read somewhere that replying to an open ticket resets the queue.

I am trying to reach Discord support. I sent a message on support.discord.com, and I got a reply from an AI agent saying to me that I need to reply to them through email. The only email address I found was [support@discord.com](mailto:support@discord.com) , but when I sent an email to that address, I got an automated message that they are unable to review email submissions through it, and that I need to go to support.discord.com. As you can see, I feel stuck in a loop. Any suggestions, on what I should do, or if there is any other email that I can contact them through?

So just today i opened discord and only after a couple hours and a couple missed notifications to realize damn my sounds not working, so i went iinto voice and video and reset it tiwce with no hope, except for the fact that only when i do mic test it works, things ive done

- restart discord after resetting the settings
- checking my output device, it was correct
- testing discord in firefox, audio worked fine

The face verification bugged out ONCE when the update first came out and ever since then I haven't been able to use it at all. It says it will give me more attempts eventually, but when will that happen? will it even happen at all?
