Magic Keyboard Left my iPad in the car on a sunny day, the keyboard melted.

On Tuesday i asked if the Magic Keyboard is worth it and yesterday got it, must say it is one of the best things for the iPad Pro. Heads up, you need to understand the cmd, option, control keys thing (am still trying to figure it out), so thanks for your advices on my last post !
And tips on how to use cmd, option, control keys would be appreciated !

First and foremost, I donāt like how YouTubers always promote the iPad Proās. I personally use an iPad Air M2 13ā 256GB, which is more than enough power for me personally. Iāll be honest, I never saw why it Apple would make a Magic Keyboard for the iPad, as I always thought it was just a flex to be real with you. (Okay, Iāll admit I was a haterš), then after buying one luckily brand new sealed at a significant discount, I now see why people say you can potentially use this in a laptop-like way, Iāve been primarily using this setup mainly the whole week intentionally with my full time job and studies, it really did the wonders for me. I feel less distracted than using my MacBook to be quite frank and felt I was way more productive using this Magic Keyboard with my iPad Air 13ā, I personally use it as an alternative laptop just in case if my M1 MacBook Air breaks, god forbid, it really excelled in the experience for me with the iPad. One thing I was really concerned with in the beginning was the battery life as I was scared a full charge wouldnāt last the whole day. Luckily, it does! I take it everywhere with me now more than my MacBook, even to the office, I only go once a week for meetings that mandatory to attend. I do my banking, signing documents is more easier (now just need to get the Apple Pencil, will probably get the Apple Pencil Pro sometime later in the year), sending emails, sending documents from my iCloud Drive from my stuff from my MacBook, making and editing documents to give to new clients. Taking it to meeting to make notes (with the note app) instead of having a diary, it honestly makes my life so much easier, I donāt really care about not having the cellular version of the iPad, as i use my iPhone as hotspot and buy a lot of data monthly, and mainly around WiFi luckily. People are even shocked at the workplace that I am using an iPad to do my work, as they donāt really know what an iPad is capable of. In first world countries in the field Iām in. They mainly use iPads with a Magic Keyboard to do their work as it involves a lot of research/prospecting in properties. The keyboard hasnāt left my iPad ever since. I really wouldnāt consider myself a heavy user, due to the fact I donāt photo edit, video edit, I luckily have a professional photographer who specialises in taking photos of homes before putting it on the market and he is very good at it. Then just stuff for me and then emails the photos.

I've been working on this Surface Laptop Studio-style iPad keyboard case for a while now. I had to buy a slim folio case with a kickstand and a Magic Keyboard-style Bluetooth keyboard case. I just applied a few coats of paint to make it look more like a recent MacBook Pro. I still have to do a few details, but for now, I think it looks pretty good. I think it gives the perfect look to a product we'd all want: a Surface Studio-style MacBook.

For the price of the keyboard I was expecting better quality (Not saying it's bad) to not get peeled by a kid, or it's me that have some problems. Haven't peeled the top and removed the glue yet.

Went for the silver / white combo with the pencil pro. This is the M4 1TB Cellular, got a great deal on it, it was either this or the M5 256gb non cellular for the same price, think I made the right choice! Iāve already got the M1 iPad Pro, and whilst performance isnāt massively different, the screen certainly is, itās incredible, so bright and beautiful with so much detail. HDR content blows the M1 out of the park. Also this is the first time Iāve had a Magic Keyboard, I was always reluctant to spend so much on a keyboard, Iāve had the Logitech combo touch on my M1 and whilst decent, the trackpad is so much better on the MK and the design I way more premium, I love it. Some nice little upgrades on the pencil pro over the gen 2. I really like the hover feature and the squeeze to change tools. Hopefully this will last me many years, being the 1tb with the 16gb of Ram with certainty futerproof it more than the base model.

I have an iPad. I usually use it to write documents. Is it worth buying a Magic Keyboard or a MacBook?

Iāve just picked up my first keyboard for my iPad (itās a cheap Ā£50 one from Amazon that uses Bluetooth). It is roughly a seventh of the price of a Magic Keyboard - albeit that my keyboard is more similar in design to the Logitech Combo Touch.
For Ā£50 the WiWU keyboard I have supports trackpad gestures, has multiple backlight colours, a detachable stand bumper case for when the keyboard is not being used, a great typing experience and really solid build quality. Bluetooth doesnāt connect instantly and takes maybe 1 second to connect initially but after that there is no lag or delay. My only gripes with it are that it doesnāt have a holder for the Apple Pencil and it doesnāt seem to have a hash key (that I can find anywhere) and also the thing is ridiculously heavy. And needs to be charged separately to the iPad itself. And it also for some reason doesnāt lock my iPad when I close the keyboard (like my old ZUGU case used to). But these are all just minor annoyances.
It just got me wondering as Iāve only just got this keyboard that when I see YouTube reviews saying things like āthe Magic Keyboard has the best trackpad and typing experienceā or āgestures work so much better on it than anything elseā - what specifically is it that commands such a leap in price? My typing is a great experience and my trackpad works perfectly with no flaws (now I have enabled touch to click).
Donāt get me wrong, Iām over the moon with my purchase, I am just more curious now than I ever have been as to what about my experience with my cheap keyboard that could possibly justify the extra money? Or is it just a case of āwhen you use a Magic Keyboard you understandā.
